This looks like it will be a lovely park. You filmed it at the perfect time with the sunset in the background, and a crystal clear video. The view is just amazing. Thank you, AK
Gansevoort Peninsula park looks great even its not completely finished yet😎I would love it there for sure🙂Thank you for this informative and enjoyable walk A K🙂👍!!!
Wow! The views are so breathtaking! Looks like it'll be another incredible spot for hanging out and amazing place for escaping busting city life as well!!! Thanks AK ror another informative and relaxing video!!!
6:01 Little Island! 7:26 Interesting to know that structure was made to greet Titanic's arrival in NYC! I recently watched the movie, and it was so sad but an excellent movie. 8:07, 14:11 The bright red light reflection on the water is so cool! 🔥Gansevoort Peninsula is a nice addition to the area with gorgeous of view the river and skylines. 😍 26:10 Nice to see Sifat at the end. 😎 Thank you for sharing this informative and relaxing stroll, AK! 🤗
It's actually such a shame that you can't swim in Manhattan's public beach due to the Hudson River being flithy 😔However, I will say that if you are looking for the perfect park in NYC, the park with a nice sidewalk, a park where you can see the city skyline, this park is it! The nightlife in this park is insane! Plus, It's nice to see the city skyline and sit at the beach! Actionkid, thanks again for a wonderful video and don't forget to show us more places like this 😃
@@jessygarciDefinitely not swimmable. There’s a Seinfeld episode where Kramer goes swimming in the East River and he smells pretty bad from it. Makes me kinda cringe every time because it’s probably totally accurate 😂
It looks really fantastic at this time of the day very nice with a lot of people out walking and jogging here in the great weather, i really enjoy seeing the skyline and the buildings on the other side of city this was really magnificent, Thank You very much for your videos Action Kid.😎👍🇺🇲🇺🇲 📹📱🇺🇲📱📹
The new park derived from a rehab centre, with 5 acres landbank, is adequate for people in this part of NYC nearby Hudson River...an open space amidst the highrise...thanks AK for bringing us along to this new found paradise 🎉😂
That’s so cool there are photos of the area from the 70s! There was a “beach” then too, but nothing as sophisticated as this. It was basically next to the WTC, a lot of open space that people dragged beach chairs to. I never saw it that way, but I wish I had. It’s crazy that this is the same place, all these years later. And swimming in the Hudson?! I dunno about that. I have kayaked in the harbor, but not so sure I would jump in...
Hello AK. Thanks for showing us this interesting new park!...That framework sculpture you were curious about at 16:55 is a work called Day's End, by David Hammons. It's an open structure that precisely follows the outlines, dimensions, and location of the original shed sculpture by the same artist on Pier 52.
Thank you for showcasing this place 😊 I was staying in this exact area last month and have very happy memories of running along the river every morning ☀️ Looking forward to seeing the park when it’s fully open!
Between the Intrepid uptown and Stuyvesant High School in Battery Park City, there are no walkways over the highway, which is a real shame. Maybe when (if?) they finish the second portion of Hudson Yards...
Some beneficial ideas there! Love the oysters being added back to help the water quality.👍🏽👍🏽 Hope that works well! Thanks for sharing the info on the pier remnants of the Cunard ship line by Little Island. There should be a plaque to explain its significance since it’s related to Titanic history.📚
Merveilleuse soiree ! Un video que tout le monde aime de voir. Ces lieux sont relaxants pour les gens qui y viennent faire du sport ou tout simplement se reposer. Merci ! Amitie
Nice! I want to visit before it gets cold. I heard they are 95% finished. From an article,"combination of promenades, lookouts, tidal pools, ledges, sandy beach, salt marsh, and kayak access create an immersive and dynamic environment that changes with the tides" Congratulations on 400k AK! Well deserved.🎉
I think (haven't checked it out) I watched a video you did on Little Island - maybe a year or so ago? This park is especially beautiful at night with the wonderful views across the Hudson River. Thank you for taking time to travel to the park to film it and share with viewers.
Hudson river has improved, not to the point of drinking the water, but the real problem is that the water is fast. Its a major river with extremely strong undercurrents. They do have triathlon events where hundreds of professional athletes swim the river but they are also monitored. its the same as the east river. we' re talking about arteries that channel in and out to the Atlantic ocean , not the sort of waters you want to be casually swimming in.
Thank you for showing the BETTER part of NYC. There are so many museums, zoos, parks, baseball and football fields etc. in your city and people don't realize that fact because of the media only showing the crimes and dirt and uncontrolled, illegal immigrant problem. Like you said, I hope the peninsula will be taken care of in the future!
Lovely, But they should've added a pool. That's what manhattan lacks. When its really hot in the summer and you want to get refreshed you can't. How did they not think of a pool?
Like how NYC is always coming up with more pedestrian gathering areas, benches, parks etc. to add to its already pedestrian friendly atmosphere. Los Angeles could learn a thing or two or three. Greater LA (not including the southland or the valleys) has zero, no parks, no benches, just miles and miles of businesses and housing from Santa Monica beach to Downtown LA. What little there is of parks and gathering areas are few and usually fenced off to the public.
😲 “ THIS (new) ‘ Gansevoort Peninsula ’ definitely needs easier and safer pedestrian access between the Meatpacking District and It. At present, You’ll age waiting for changing stoplights to cross those major roadway arteries. It’s an ‘ accident waiting to happen ’ . Civic planners should have either constructed a crossover bridge or built a tunnel, before the inevitable public lawsuits and bad publicity demand a fix. ”
Is it just me or is that a pretty sad looking beach? I wouldn't mind walking around the area, and the city view is nice, but definitely underwhelming as a beach.
This looks like it will be a lovely park. You filmed it at the perfect time with the sunset in the background, and a crystal clear video. The view is just amazing. Thank you, AK
Much appreciated, I really like this park and I hope it's successful
I agree!
What a beautiful walk ActionKid thank you so much for sharing👌🐼!

Actually its the cleanest it's been in 50 years. But still not swimmable.

You're welcome, it's a great park with amazing views
Wow, another great park!!! thanks for the tour AK!!
Always great idea to make life better and cool, like Little Island in 2022.
To have fun and good time, so cool 😊👍
Thanks for the mention of the Cunard-White Star pier. I’ve been a Titanic enthusiast since 1960 so I’m always glad to hear the ship get a mention.

There won't be any swimming from this beach, I think it's just a kayak and small boat launch if you want to go into the water

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the waterfront views
Build it--they will come‼️👏❤️
The city should have considered making a walkway over 11th Ave.

really nice to see this
AK, nice park and thanks for sharing!

Nice one AK! Didn’t know this was open. 👍🏼

I see you made it to 400K subs 👏 🎉🙂
I’m coming to New York next month!

Does the water smell bad? Would nautical events be possible?
@@isrj01 It's not the most foulest, but I wouldn't recommend it
That's true, it's still not the cleanest body of water there is.
Nice😊❤
They are pure FEEL

Absolutely, there are so many cool places in New York that many people don't know about!
congrate frome the netherlands
New Beach opening there
What is the big red light across the water?
W Hoboken Hotel. The big red neon light is their W logo.
Best to go from the rest of the city (in nice weather) to enjoy the outdoors with skyline view. Bring $ to eat in Pier 57 or nearby Chelsea Market.

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
grüße aus Mannheim Germany weiter so ! 🙂
Do you still need tickets for little island?
No it’s free.
It was always free. For a while it was necessary to reserve tix during certain hours, but they're no longer doing that.
❤❤😊😊
My god your back
What is it ?

They're actually improving a bit in the Downtown area.
Креативненько!!! Интересненько здесь именно!!! 🤗 Нам бы кто хай-лайн бы сделал в городе...
Looks like they opened it a few months early.
Well I'd say it's around 90% complete
you meet up with sifat again action kid

Kinda wish they call it Manhattan Beach but then realized Cali took that away from New York. 😅
It will be taken over by homeless and they'll start charging money 😅
13th Ave.?? No such thing anymore. With the construction of the beach it means the destruction of the last remaining section of 13th avenue.
Is it just me or is that a pretty sad looking beach? I wouldn't mind walking around the area, and the city view is nice, but definitely underwhelming as a beach.
🦜that covered construction part is suppose to be a Dog Park/Run?
