Look great. Stoked to see your larger shop and bigger machinery. I am still working on gathering all the tools for my first frame, I think I am going to go against the frame building gods and not build an elaborate jig.
It’s a little on the noisy side. And the fit and finish is a little rough. But don’t get me wrong it’s a good lathe and probably gets some unfair criticism. It’s got it where it counts. 😉
I think we often berate ourselves for mistakes made in the past, I know I always used to. These days, I like to think about it all as a linear process of improvement that includes those mistakes. Mistakes aren't mistakes, they are part of the learning process. Further more, making 'mistakes' or 'failing' are often times such a mental boundary that many people don't even begin, so anyone out there making mistakes and beautiful hideous failures should give themselves a pat on the back. Oh and "we make frames not because it's easy but because we thought it would be easy" is such a funny truism that is applicable to many other contexts. Would make some good Pithy merch,.
volume SOOOOOOO quiet!!?? I had the sound all the way up on the speakers, and all the way up on the Computer as well as you tube- your voice is very quiet in this one kiddo....
Beautiful work and description, as always, it is so good to have you producing these videos. 😊
Holy shit. We're in for a ride people!

Great Edit, not too long, but enough details💪 thank you for elevating community of makers
Boy it looks nice.
Nice rework. Why you are not happy with this lathe? At first glance look like a decent machine.

Haha no that’s just me doing a narration thing. But there were a few takes that sounded even more robotic! 🤖
