With every boss fight in the Genocide run, you feel more and more terrible for what you're doing. I think this fight is the most impactful of all the genocide routes, and the music is by far one of the most enforcing parts of it. This isn't Undyne's theme, this is the theme of the fate of the world. Spectacular cover, dude.
Actually, you can stop at Mettaton NEO. Just don't aim for the center and as far from it as possible, and he will accuse you of holding back your strongest attack. Which is EXPERT game design. You'd normally never see this, as Mettaton NEO looks like e would be a tough boss fight. Since it's a tough boss fight, you want to get it over with as fast as possible and hit with your strongest attack.

undyne has to be the most mysterious/interesting character. not sans, not chara, not frisk, not gaster. undyne. because she NATURALLY has so MUCB determination, that she stopped her own death. not even Sans did that. and a lot of people say that Sans IS badass, but Undyne is the one that refused to die, along with the rest of the world.

Something I think is beautiful is that, when you push Undyne to her extreme by committing genocide against monsterkind, she becomes living proof that in Undertale... _anime is real_. Is there any other kind of world where a steely warrior faces 100% completely *impossible* odds, and when all hope seems to be lost, the warrior remembers their friends, even the people they thought enemies, the entire *world* relying on them in that moment, and their power surges. They know that if they don't stop the end of the world, no one will, and they *will* stop it? Through sheer willpower, they rise up against evil. Undyne's fight literally proves anime is real.

I don't know what about it it is, but somehow no version of Battle Against a True Hero can compare to the original. There's just something about it that makes it incomparable. But I have to say, this comes damn close. This is the best remix/arrange that I've heard. It really just captures the epicness and magnitude of the moment.

If you listen to the original "But the earth refused to die" If you push your headphones against your ears or listen very closely you can hear a little drum that symbolizes the hearths of everybody beating at once. I seen various people missing that

The game didn't impress me as much as it did to others... Majority of the fanbase made me even sadder... But the moment I returned to this arrangement, it touched my heart in a way that very few games' ost can do. It gains my respect because of this: Music. Fan remix, orchestral arrangement, original track, it usually never ceases to amuse me.
it was a cute little game with nice music, some charming characters, an interesting take on an rpg story, and some neat mechanics fanbase kinda went apeshit about it but those things up there i feel it earned on its own merits
I can't believe that some people couldn't bring themselves to finish the game on Genocide! I did the genocide route all over again just to fight Sans a few more times, and I quit the game each time after I kill him because I don't want to start the playthough all over again. To whoever didn't try it, I recommend doing it now.
I find it worse when they delete their genocide run. they still did it. those sins can't be washed away. they still killed everyone they love and have the capacity to swipe it under the bed in some selfish hope for salvation. I dislike those people
3 little things i noticed Like Mariano Gonzalez said, the heartbeat at the beginning is absent. Also, during the main melody, for the background guitar, the notes dont fly around as much as in the original, and isnt as loud either which takes a little away from the power of the song. There is also a slight A flat in the original, fading in and out every second or too. This is very slight, but adds more to the tension and desperation. Other than that, its literally flawless!!! Great job!
I've heard some Battle Against A True Hero covers. Most of them are too gentle, or bad in other ways. But THIS. This is what a battle sounds like. Epicness, dramatic and heroic atmosphere... really fits the battle. If I'm ever making an anime/animated series of Undertale, I want to use this for the Undyne the Undying battle!
I ran a genocide run and when i got to undyne i felt a mixture of dread for knowing that i would eventually beat her and anger that i couldn't beat her, when i won it was just a bittersweet taste.
The meaning why Undyne turn into the undying Form is because she Want to Stop you from Killing Monsters like Asgore,Toriel,Sans,Papyrus,Mettaton and Muffet

Hardest boss imo. Really pushed the limit of my movement skill. With sans you just needed to memorize his attack pattern. I everyone else was easy. This was my most valiant opponent in any game.

yeah your probably right I first became excited about this idea because in both worlds you can use the power of at least part of a sole for your whim and in addition you could use a black soul gem to give flowey/asrial some compassion also the headcanon involved would come from the judgment hall comic as no one really said how they dealt with chara in the end I personally believe that the only way would be to throw her into the core resulting in her being stretched across the multiverse and then some curious mage might accidentally conjure her to life in skyrim you can guess what would happen after that
