    Airspeed is different than thrust. To fly smoothly, this "heavy" F14 is an edf that benefits from keeping airspeed, momentum in maneuvers. It flies awesome if the energy is maintained. Great upgrades! I'll definitely be getting those wheels and it seems like those burners look and function great.

    I installed the low bounce wheels that you recommended and the plane didn't have enough speed to take off, so had to bale the on the take off when I had the stock power system. Since then I installed the mig 29 EDF's and Avian ESC's for reverse thrust but found out my NX10 didn't have enough channels for all that programming, so I now have a IX14 and hoping it will have enough power for take off on the wheels, even though they look very flat from the weight of the plane.

    • @TwoBrosRC

    Have you heard anything about this jet having serious problems recovering from an excessive pitch down attitude, particularly at slower speeds on say a base to final turn? I have no idea if it's true, but was told that it doesn't want to recover, even after adding full power. Maybe it was due to an improper set up, or just flying it way to nose heavy. I'm thinking the new HH F-14 might be my segway into F-14's before committing to this one. Looks like a blast though, nicely done on the set up and flying sir ! 👍👊👊

    • @TwoBrosRC

      It's a fair question. The plane uses electric ducted fans, EDF for short. High RPM motors with 12 blade fans running around 40,000-50,000 RPMS exhaust somewhat turbulent air, resulting in a sound similar to a turbine jet. Jet A burning model turbine engines REALLY sound like the full-scale, but are super costly.

    • @howardbull9001
      @howardbull9001 2 года назад +1

      @@tomheetderks9997 That was my question exactly but the 'Twobrothers' chose to mock me instead. I used to design and build my own electric gliders years ago so I am used to the sound of those. I have also watched many videos of other duscted fan models but this F14 sounds very lifelike in an electric sort of way. Thanks for explaining.
