This channel is not appreciated as much as it should be. Thomas Sowell, Terrence McKenna, and Victor Davis Hanson Lectures in one channel? I’ve learned more from listening to these lectures than in my entire educational experience!

There are two very learned men for whom I have great respect that speak in very different terms about human nature.
They are Victor Davis Hanson and Jordan Peterson. I think they agree on one thing, America is in crisis. The very
principles upon which America was founded are being challenged, and the result could be very bloody. Will it be
Civil War? Is an enemy truly defeated if there is no real post war reconstruction?

I disagree with your assessment. From listening to both Peterson & Hanson, I think they have a very similar view on human nature.
Try reading Carnage & Culture by Hanson & you will see the similarities.
The biggest difference I think is that Peterson is talking more about the day to day nature & Hanson is talking about the war making nature. Two very different modes of operation.

There is a funny SNL skit featuring Jerry Seinfeld as a history teacher in a typical US high school. The students do not know the first thing about WW2, the Nazis or the Holocaust. It is humorous and at the same time very sad skit. Like Dr. Hanson says, the average American 20-year-old knows nothing about history. As a retired high school teacher, I know what Hanson says is true.

A term with no value? Try 'immoral, illegal war'. A commonly heard phrase during the Vietnam War because everybody was comfortable with that phrase but nobody could explain it to me.

When people said that, what they meant was, "It is immoral and ought to be illegal to kill Communists."

Very goog insight from Mr Hanson. I will say the reason for Russian and Chinese action is the legitimate fear of nato moving in on neighboring territory. We have witnessed that action in Ukraine by the Obama/Clinton administration. We wouldn't put up with similar actions by those countries.

Didn't Iraq invade Kuwait because they flooded the oil market and thereby threatened the Iraqi economy reliant on oil? Maybe it was a point of honour, blessed by US secretary of State James Baker. Maybe the Germans aren't looking for Lebensraum because they can now simply emigrate. Nonetheless, a very interesting presentation.
