That hyundai if it is built right, its actually a beast. The 2.7 liter is a very strong engine, 4 bolt mains, I-beam con-rods, forged steel crank. The only week point in the engine is the pistons. These engines can make 400-500hp or more with a turbo / supercharger. Stock it makes 173-178hp to the crank. If you put cams in it, you can get 200ish hp out of it. For a small v6 I think this is impressive. Although the manual transmission sadly can't hold that much power.

Unfortunately the additives that you added are only a temporary fix. If it's a popping noise you were hearing. You'll need one new spider gear and axle. It's the spline that slipping on the axle from the spider gear. I have been rebuilding differentials for years. And this is a common problem that's easy to repair and inexpensive.

I’ve had my shift knob fly off banging second many times I had it fly to the back of my hatch before and have had to drive home without a knob multiple times😂😂😂 but I would have to give the worst second gear shift to my dad who missed second in an automatic he went from 1st to 3rd on a 3 speed console shifter in his big cammed chevelle with headers and 3” exhaust it sounded like *WAAAAAAAP* waaaaaaa

See, this it the kind of problem that a scammer shop will toss some shavings in the drain pan and sell you a "new" diff. This is why it pays to have a reputable mechanic.
There is laws. In Michigan you have the right to all old parts. If they are under warranty you get the chance to inspect them. Problem is customers just take the shops word for it.
Of course, and of course the shops know how yo pick the marks that won't ask questions.
Or you just spend the 5 minutes and pop the pan yourself...

Had a friend who had a 2010 dodge half ton.... transmission fell apart and caused the driveshaft to fall out of the truck moving down the road and shortly after the diff practically exploded lmao.... not to mention he was blessed with the typical lifter ticking and exhaust manifold leaks from their trash motor mounts haha don't get me started on their interrior
Raycharles Duramax I had a friend who bought a 2015 Duramax and the engine has already gone to shit and there's only 23,000 miles on it. The transfer case blew up and when that happened the spare tire came loose, fell, hit the road and rear axle at the same time and completely ripped the axle out from underneath the truck. GM really does make a shitty truck

Dodge could not build a good trans if thier lives depended on it....sad but true. However....the engine in that truck is one of the best. Like a ford....great trans....garbage powerchoke......And a Duramax is an awesome engine.....before it fills everything with water from one of many blown gaskets. Many will argue.....just my opinion from personal experience

I had the same problem with mine. Changed the diff fluid and the 2 bottles of the Mopar friction modifier, no problem after. That's what burnouts do to the diff fluid.
