Have you ever met a celebrity? What was it like?

I met Gregory Hines when I was a child and he was so gracious and kind. It was wonderful to watch such a talent welcome me into his world, if only for a moment. 🙏🏾 ❤️

BTW I totally agree with what you and Tim Reid (RIEP 😞) said about ensuring you do a range of things rather than rely on just one career/vocation.

Yes. Many of them and they are exactly how you mention them. Warm, cool themselves and just normal people. I have a lot of respect for the lives you all live because it isn't easy but normalizing things for y'all I think makes it comfortable. ❤

That's because Tia and Tamera have a down-to-earth humble spirit and even though they are famous celebrities themselves they've never forgotten where they came from and who they are because I noticed no matter how famous they get they've always try to stay true to themselves and that's what I like and respect about these beautiful young ladies👏👏👏👏

💯. I would be. I remember watching Sister Sister consistently on a weekly basis as a kid. I came across their fan club mail or something and wrote to them and got a really cool postcard and message back. Man I wish I still had it. It was really a sweet moment and bragged to all my classmates. 😂 now 2 decades plus later my 7 year old love the show. ❤️
No celebrity should be intimidating or idolize. You can like them and they could inspire you. But not intimidating or idolize.. they are human just like us they just have more money and and a certain talent. That’s the problem people idolize these celebrities but when they do something wrong or say something you don’t like y’all ready to cancel them. And your children want to be like these rappers because they idolize them and are intimidating by them. I’m 57 years old never idolized or was intimidating by any celebrity.

Listen people celebrities are just regular humans on TV and have money. Don't be small minded we are all have God gifted be inspire and not obsessed with no celebrities be obsessed with God the one and only we should praise. And people only care when a celebrity is A or B list status smh Tia need to chill. Celebrities were so much better when they were aloof and private

It’s so interesting that Tia mentioned Denzel and boxing. My husband actually boxed with Denzel in the ring at a gym in NYC many years ago. The next day my husband’s rib area had some bruising. When he saw it, he ran to me so happy, showed it to me and said, “LOOK WHAT DENZEL DID! LOOK!!!” My husband has been a Denzel fan ever since.

I work at a restaurant in Hawai’i that Tia & Tamera come to with their families when they’re on island. I can truly say they are SO down to Earth! They never ask for anything special & they make it a point to say thank you at the end of their meal! They also don’t try to hide & make it weird like other celebrities do. Love them!

I remember as teen I would watch you on “The Game” and I was OBSESSED with you (still your biggest fan to this day). Tia, you were actually one of the first celebrities that I “met.” It was back in the 90s, and you and Tamera did one of those AOL chats to answer fan questions. There was no video chat back then so we couldn’t even see you two, but I still remember being excited about it! 😁

That last part is really inspiring. We do grow and change, and it’s so important that we embrace that because resisting it does more harm than good, or as Lauren London said “flow with the river instead of fighting with the rocks.”

Even though it was a short story, I got so excited when she brought up meeting (or being waved at by) Prince! I love me some Prince! I'm freaking jealous. I'll always miss that freaky boy lol. I really wish he was still here. I thought it was hilarious when she said Red Foxx asked her why she's chewing her gum like that lol! I always remembered Tia saying Tim Reid gave her that advice, but it still touches my heart hearing her talk about it and that she still goes by that advice today. Great video and stories. I can understand being surprised and humbled when other celebrities know her (cause if I was a celebrity I would feel the same way if others knew me) but Sister, Sister is ICONIC so of course everyone knows Tia Mowry just like everyone on Earth knows who Steve Urkel is.
