This is a great tutorial! As someone painting deathwatch, I was hoping something like this would come out. My only advice would be, please don't be afraid to teach me like I'm 5 years old or painted very little. I appreciate any granularity and specifics you can provide. Like more specific information about paint ratios, logic behind where highlights are placed, etc. Thanks for the great information, as always.
looks like cork, black primer, a blueish green followed by a bright yellowish green drybrush. Then glue about 8+ grastufts to it 😅 followed by that leaf thing(which I don't know where it is from, but I recognize it, so there might be a video of it on the main channel, if not on this channel)
Love this content, the only criticism is that the music could do with being a little less distracting, and perhaps not use half a dozen different tracks over the eight minutes.
When I started watching Squidly Bits I couldn’t stand that background music choice, lol. It has grown on me (like a fungus) and now I find myself always bopping along 😅
For the final glazing step, do you have any opinions on the glossiness when using ink? Will it add some nice variation, or would you give it a final pass with matte varnish to tie it all together?
Would you show the pallet in future videos so that we can see the color mix? This video was especially difficult for the first few steps because of the black and gray not being so contrasting.
Thanks for sharing, will help for sure with my black templars, a question around the base coating, in the video you show a sequence of a spray can and the airbrush, am I correct that the spray can is black primer an then the airbrush is the black base coat? What benefit has this since the primer is already black or can you just start the highlighting on the black primer?
Could you please be so kind to explain to me the interest of adding ice yellow, instead of a more classic white one? Is it because the yellowish part would add a bit of color and warm tone, or something else? Thank you dearly per advance!

Man I got a DW set and then learned they are not usable in 10e lol
7:45 - how bolter gun looks with this red is just frikin amazing!
All my support to Vallejo's workers. Hope the business gives them a fair salary and safe working conditions.
Fingers crossed 🤞
Is that why their paint is so bad?
7:20 step one: draw two circles, step two: draw two lines connecting the circles, step three: and now draw the rest of the horse
Those effects at the beginning - woah 10/10!
Lukas, I really want a tutorial about your amazing rocky base !!
Might be wrong , but he has done a tutorial on a rock base in the imperial knight video

This video came out at the perfect time! Im planning on painting some Black templars.

Thanks for the sick tutorial, looking forward to seeing how you did the Hazard stripes too :)
What i was waiting for! Thank you!
Very helpful/useful; thanks!
Absolutely love it!
What colour could one use instead of Ice Yellow for a cold feel instead?

I love your painting style, it seems very much in the same art direction of Arcane

Both can look good, but generally prefer uniform finish
What kind of sponge works best for the sponge-ing step?
Looks awesome! I definitely don't think I'm skilled enough to pull this off but, what the heck, I'ma try it anyway.

Came for the paint, stayed for the beats

It just has a different matte finish, Lukas prefers the regular coat over primer
makes sense, thank you for clarifying 😊
Please god do white armour. I’m just starting heresy white scars😂

Always love the videos! Didn't love the music on this one. It was really distracting.

It’s like you have been watching my RUclips search’s
A 2nd channel?? Shaaayy what
Somehow, mine didnt turn out like a 3d rendered model level of quality.
This feels like you jumped from step 3 to step 37 and said 'done'.. Guess I missed it
This is not black right but grey! ;)
Shhhh you're telling secrets. Yellow is just cooler... Cough cough grim dark.😂
Why does Lukas have so much better music than Emil in his videos tho?…
So much feces saved!
Please never use that background music again. Thanks for the tutorial!
at first I agreed with you, then it grew on me and I kinda enjoyed it in the end
Was just about to say the same thing, good lord that music is annoying.
