This time, I would like to introduce Sideways from the Studio Series.
We have custom painted the Sideways from the Studio Series!
We were aiming for a more vivid coloring, but we found it hard to achieve it when we were refurbishing the face parts.
We found something unexpected when we were refurbishing the face parts. ・・・・!

こうみると映画で序盤退場したのが惜しすぎる…
本当に序盤で退場したの残念過ぎますよね・・・サイドスワイプと中盤～終盤に決着付けてほしかった願い🙏

So did you apply the mr color black after the gaia glossy black to give it that look or did you decide to use the mr color over the gaia
The Gaia matte black was not what I was expecting, so I used Mr color. Later I found that I had diluted the Gaia paint too much. It was my painting mistake.😢

私の場合はとにかくやってみよう精神で「最後の騎士王版オプティマスプライム」を部分塗装したところからスタートしました。
当初は予備知識も無くプラモデルも塗装未経験でしたので塗りムラも激しく、パーツが割れたり塗装剥がれたりを繰り返していました。塗料を変えたり筆を変えたり溶剤を変えたり、ジャンク品に試し塗りをしながら好きな塗り方を模索していくうちに、なんとなく今のコツがつかめてきたように思います。
またRUclipsを始めようと決めた頃から「人に見せる」という意識が強くなり、より丁寧に塗れるようになったと思います。
簡潔で申し訳ありませんがご参考になれば幸いです。

How to remove the painted eye sockets and show the light piping?
I haven't tried it so it's hard to give an exact reply, but what about painting with clear red after removing the paint with thinner?And if you paint everything black except the eye parts, only the clear red seems to emit light.🤔Sorry if my English grammar is wrong.

@@ponzuhobby so does that mean I just paint other parts around the back of the head black, then the light will be clearer?
No, the back of the head does not need to be painted with anything because it needs to be illuminated. To use a human analogy, I would imagine that only the whites of the eyes should be painted black. Then, when the light is shone on it, only the eyes painted with clear red would emit light. However, this is just my imagination, so there is a possibility that I may not succeed. I am not sure how much light the clear parts on the back of Sideways' head will collect, so it may not glow as red as I had hoped...😓
