Awwww I love this scene! Diana rarely helped women/girls back then, and this episode was so sweet. Diana/Lynda was always sweet, but this in particular was great!
This scene was always heart - breaking to me, watching all of Ammadonna's hopes of returning home sink, and dissappear beneath the ocean depths ---- and seeing her cry ----I almost found myself crying with her 😢
@@WonderWomanTVHD I have always heard that this episode was slated for a spin - off ! Too bad that the series was canceled before we had the chance to see what became of that amazing girl !
The Wonder Woman writers also were inconsistent in how she applied her superpowers. She should have been able to change into her wetsuit, dive into the ocean and chase down the submarine and disable it and force it to surface.
@@wonderwoman5732 I can just imagine her lassoing the tail of the submarine and swim towards shore pulling the submarine behind her against the force of its propellers. It would be so sexy to see her walking out of the water holding onto the lasso going into the water behind her and then slowly pull until she had beached the submarine. She could then jump onto the sub tear open the hatch with her superstrength and wrap her golden lasso around Bleaker making him tell her where the doorway to the girl's world was.
The speech she gave felt a little like she was also talking about herself. You never heard about Paradise Island after a while, like maybe she'd accepted her life in "Man's World."
Wonder Woman could've asked her mother if there is any way to help the girl from Islandia, who got brought to Earth by a deranged genius, return home. That bad guy who escaped in his submarine is one of the few who got away from the amazon in the series.
@@WonderWomanTVHD It would have been amazing to see the girl come back in a follow up episode if Wonder Woman had gone to a 4th or 5th season. She would be a teenager/young adult and even more powerful. She is using her powers to cause all kinds of crime and mischief. Wonder Woman has to stop her and help her get back on the right track. I am sure they could have found some sexy 20ish actress to play her as a young adult in a follow-up episode.
Even if those 2 thugs on the beach had apologized for working for the deranged genius who brought the girl from Islandia to Earth against her will, Tina wouldn't accept it.

Back then, of course, tampering with someone's memory wasn't considered a grievous assault, as more enlightened viewers and readers might see it today. Quite expedient means employed by Wonder Woman, but morally questionable, in that she likely doesn't think the ends justify the means.

The Girl from Islandia is one of my favorite episodes.
Yes, that was to be the spin-off series that never happened.

Yes, you would have thought it would be a happier ending. It did seem like they were setting it up as a possible spin off.

@@seanprater1795 Yes, they had intended a spinoff show with a child that had similar powers to Wonder Woman.
@@WonderWomanTVHD I know what you mean.
Sometimes the heroes don't always win. They learn from the experience so that they hopefully will win the next time.😔
You know it's heartbreaking when Wonder woman is crying
I love old live action dc and marvel shows and movies

I was thinking the same thing. Also if she used her lasso to make Bleaker tell her where her world is located. He knows the doorway to her world.

Yes, my thoughts exactly!!!
@@eokscadfabtm I can just imagine what kinds of feats of strength they could have had her do with modern special effects and CGI.
The Wonderwoman we have now would have or Superman would’ve helped her

Thing is Wonder Woman can return to paradise island anytime .

The girl being stuck here was supposed to be the premise for the spin-off series. Sadly, it did not happen.
@@WonderWomanTVHD I have always wondered if this was meant to be a spinoff. I agree shame that never happened.
I always wondered why she didn’t “phone home” more often lol
@@WonderWomanTVHD I read about that. I was thinking about it too.

Well Wonder woman could have taken her to Paradise Island. That wouldn't have been so bad.
crumbling can they clone her class and warm caring very pretty looks you go girl

Lynda Carter was and still is the best actress that played the role of Wonder Woman since 1975 according to my point of view.

Yes, one of a few, that didn’t get green lit.
@@brianlittlejohn2000 Thank you. What a shame.
The thugs who worked for the mean genius should be ashamed of themselves after he left them in the lurch to save his own skin.
I definitely agree with the power of infinity!!
Like my big brother...
Before Zatanna Wonder Woman did it first
Actually she could have stopped him, just spin into the wetsuit and catch up to him
