  • Those that grew up or lived in the Philly and surrounding suburban areas during the 70's and 80's will remember the great pay TV channel Prism (which was bought out by and replaced with Starz in the early 90's). They showed uncut movies like HBO, etc, but they also included local sporting events that were not broadcast on national television. Including WWF Wrestling, Philadelphia Flyers hockey games, and more.

I watched Prism all the time in South Jersey. Flyers, Sixers, and Phillies home games! Prism even aired indoor soccer!

I wonder if they became aware that Prism was also an influential B-grade video company at the time.
