According to my calculations, they do not have ability to do anything other than giving output to the code, which is a number that determines rotation of the zombie.
I don't know why, but this is starting to inspire me to make a game similar to Sims and make it so that the children evolve depending on the actions of the parents.
used to watch this as a child, when i first found roblox studio. I’m sorry that I didn’t subscribe to you when i had the chance because i appreciate coding and programming
How did you draw the lines to stop when it touches a wall? I'm a newbie lua user and there's nothing like a repeat without screen refresh option like in Scratch so I'm stuck on how to make something similar to this.
Eroid It's done with raycasting, you should learn about it. It's like pointing an imaginary laser pen. You can get information about the raycast, such as the distance and the angle of the surface (normal).
This would be nice if their is a game that day by day the zombies AI get smarter hour by hour that passes by. When they become better then players after repeating soo many tries the algorithm will grow and allow the zombies to find ways to kill the players more easily.
a wave based zombie game, but each wave the zombie can track and go to a player's location better, learn to make use of the map, and counter the player's defenses. Sounds really cool
How do you make it where zombies dodge and zigzag, use pathfinding, and also have a pathginding system that can detect ladders and only chases players when spotted?
Neural networks does the same thing but better, so you can't mix it. You obvs doesn't know how it works, NN doesn't require a set of rules, it figures things out itself just with the inputs(rays)
Clyde Elchico no its not alive its like a avanced list of do nots so the computer only reads the liat and ignores therea no fear that a human whold have or instinct just a cold robot getting info from a list
bigboy gamer750 Our brains are neural networks, just like the zombie's brain. Ours is MUCH larger and the time it has been 'learning' is MUCH longer, but the basic principle is the same, and unlike the zombies' networks, our networks have the ability to grow. This is why our brains have evolved so much more complex than the zombies'.
All feelings can be logically explained with evolution, because they all serve a purpose and are directly linked to _behavior._ Think of them as different 'modes'. Artificial neural networks show this kind of behavior as well, if they are advanced/big enough. I'm not sure what do you mean by 'independent', because all of your choices are dependent of _your_ neural network, or should I say _brain._
Austin Earls You can do so much more with this than just simple pathfinding. You could even teach the AI to fight with a sword, not just walk at the enemy but proper fighting techniques like avoiding the enemy's sword.
It's a shame this got so little views for this amazing work.
Whats so amazing about it? Roblox?
Ye roblox lol people use it to learn(kinda)
its not "amazing"
an expert could code this in a couple of hours
Same logic as saying "Oh yeah a Brain Surgeon could do Brain Surgery in a couple of hours"
I rlly wane know how u did this
Hey, Vsauce! Michael here! What if, robot zombies took over earth?
W... why XD
its even crazier that this was made 9 years ago
Generation 100: zombies learn to code and are taking over the world
According to my calculations, they do not have ability to do anything other than giving output to the code, which is a number that determines rotation of the zombie.
HOLY CRAP! THE ROBLOX ZOMBIES ARE EVOLVING!!! OMG!!!!!! But on a serious note, this is actually really cool.
The ARE evolving, literally.
"OMG" is bore.
WRITE THAT DOWN, WRITE THAT DOWN
wow this looks rlly good, thanks so much for open sourcing it!
i didnt even know this was possible
i mean pathfinding sure
but *THIS* is next level
it existed for like 2 decades but yeah its amazing
Golly this is really cool. Nice job. :D
I don't know why, but this is starting to inspire me to make a game similar to Sims and make it so that the children evolve depending on the actions of the parents.
Idk how it works but I absolutely love it

This is so damn amazing.
Im finishing off with html but then im going to css then after that im going to try roblox .. seems interesting
This is fuking legendary
Ya know? This wasn't even recommended to me. I searched for this.
Any chances of opening this place back up?
just watched a gen1 zombie:4 do the course xd
Amazing!
this is so interesting
What type of crossover did you use? I'm kinda stumped on this for my own genetic algorithm neural network project.
I don't think he used any he might have just adjusted the weight's for the bottom 50%
I have no idea but you can download his place, give that a try and look at his script.
I looked at his scripts and I am amazed! it must have taken him a while to do.
this was in 2014, we have come a long way
Codebullet vibes
the life of albert zombeinstein
Holy shit! This was 8 years ago?!
great video, wish i found out about this sooner

lol that's cool
I am gonna make a Racing Game using Raytracing and some Netural Networks with AI that have been trained to race.
How's the process?
incredible...
cool
You're a madman
what the a neural network in roblox?!?!?
amazing! how and where can try this?
How do u make it so the zombie follows the player and is as smart as the last zombie?
Just use pathfinding for that..
How do you make it where zombies dodge and zigzag, use pathfinding, and also have a pathginding system that can detect ladders and only chases players when spotted?
Put simply, can you make it where zombies can detect players (but not through walls...), and mix this and pathginding together?
Neural networks does the same thing but better, so you can't mix it. You obvs doesn't know how it works, NN doesn't require a set of rules, it figures things out itself just with the inputs(rays)
try to increase the score/fitness if the raycast hit player/character
what in the youtube recommendations
How did you get the lenght of the ray?
make a neural network that play roblox games.
Rip the script broke in 2022
Left 4 Dead 2 in roblox?
Piggy AI.
ai try maze
It didnt work when i put it in my game. do you have to be r6 or turn on a certain setting?
Brother it has been 8 years
You need rename the baseplate to BasePlate (caps included) and run the game (do not join it)
is this a sin against god?I am just curious?(no offense✌)

Laihela we can feel feelings and we can make independet choises and read between thevlines

Laihela the robot van never be human its asbergers at best
Roblox is a stupid game, they said...
we got a hater over here ring the hater bell
*rings bell*
@@carnivorous0004 read it again, slowly
And now all your work was for nothing since pathfinding has been added xd
Austin Earls You can do so much more with this than just simple pathfinding. You could even teach the AI to fight with a sword, not just walk at the enemy but proper fighting techniques like avoiding the enemy's sword.
You completely missed how much potential this has, didn't you?
this is waaaaay better than pathfinding m8
