Hey Brian. Great tag video. Love The Jayhawks. Love Moondance. One of my all time favourites too. Into The Mystic was our last dance at our wedding. Miss watching your videos pal. Hope you make more. Cheers bud.
I will definitely check out that new Matt Nathanson album. It's always good to see you. You show bands that I know on the periphery and make me want to give them a listen. Have a great year.
Hi Melinda, that Matt Nathanson is still on repeat for me. I had a break up with my girlfriend earlier this year and a few songs really grabbed me. The song “Soundtrack” crushed me. Was exactly what I was feeling. It describes himself as used to loving music so much and now the songs are just the soundtrack to her. So sad. Cheers, Brian☘️
Hi Brian, enjoyed watching your contribution to the tag! All my Jayhawks music is on CD, will have to go looking for some vinyl by them. So many interesting singer songwriters shown. They don't get enough attention in the VC. Great video you did with Jonathan as well. Take care, Elliott
One of the reasons I enjoy Vinyl Tag so much is that, besides meeting all the new faces, I get to see all my VC buddies I don't see super often. Really cool hang. Cheers.
Hey Brian. Loved your vinyl tag. So many singer-songwriters that are new to me, and old favorites like the Jayhawks. Happy new year and take care, Chris
I never saw the Wonder Years, I don’t know Winnie. I was doing Tae Kwon Do 4 days a week in the 90s. I have never seen that Magic Time album, congrats on getting that. Some others have shown The Plains as a favorite album. I need to dig into that more. I don’t buy a lot of singer songwriter albums so I enjoyed seeing your picks. Vinyl Tag is about seeing something new. Always a pleasure to see you my friend. A wall of 73, nice wall paper Great to see you, look forward to your vinyl tag 2024
You should watch the Wonder Years on Netflix. I think it’s on there. A wonderfully written show. I’ll be sure to make a Tag for 24. See you in a year. Hahaha Cheers☘️
You know we will be digging. I can’t wait!!! When is the next show?? And thanks about my videos being great. I disagree with that but I’ll take the compliment from you. Lol Cheers☘️
If you like Counting Crows then you will probably enjoy Stephen Kellogg. Adam Duritz and Stephen Kellogg are buds. Check out Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers self titled release. It’s a classic for me. A great starting point. Cheers, Brian☘️
The records that start and end with the same letter surprise me. It is something I never thought about. I’m glad you showed the Neil Merryweather album. It is one I want but forgot the dudes name.
Who the hell thinks about that? Rob must’ve been smoking something when he came up with that. Haha That Neil Merryweather is pretty good. It was my Dad’s record that he passed on to me. Cheers☘️
Wow! That Van Morrison wasn't even on my radar because I don't follow him like I used to. Just streamed it. Real nice album. You showed several other artists that aren't the usual stuff. Thanks for the heads up(s).
I just now finished watching Cheap and Cheerful and followed your instruction at the end of that video. Cool response to this year's tag. I hope you'll find time to make more videos this year. That Stephen Kellogg album will probably be much more appealing to you after you see him play some songs from it. What if he comes out and plays nothing but that album? I saw Todd Rundgren at a club in Palo Alto in the '90s and he played only his new album. Nothing else. No Leroy boy no nothin'. I have to admit, the poster advertising the show did say "playing his new album". lol HNY Brian!
Thanks to listening to a podcast from The Minimalists about the album, I’ve been interested in that new Matt Nathanson record. The vinyl keeps getting pushed out though; weird!
That Matt Nathanson record blew me away this year. I went through a breakup with my girlfriend last summer and then I heard the song “Soundtrack”. I swear I listened to that song on repeat for months. It crushed me. The power of music! Cheers☘️
Great list. I took note of a few records to check out. The Beast In Its Tracks is one I kind of forgot about. Definitely a departure from what came before. Reminded me of the EP he put out before that, Bringing In the Darlings. Different tone, kind of the flipside of Beast.
Bringing in the Darlings is such a great 10”. I picked that up when it first came out. I was managing a record shop at the time. I miss the days of having the new releases at my fingertips. Haha Cheers, Brian☘️
I like the comparisons you made to Benjamin Todd. It sounds like someone I should know. I'm always glad to see Josh Ritter shown although The Animal Years is my favorite. I have streamed a couple of The Tallest Man On Earth songs but have never sprung for an album. That is my favorite Go-Betweens album but only have it on CD. I'm jealous seeing the vinyl. Brandi Carlile was the last show that I have seen. Van Morrison is my favorite artist and I have settled for the CD of Magic Time. Great tag.
Hi Randy! You need to check out Benjamin Tod. His new record is called, “Songs I swear I’d never sing.” It’s emotional, powerful, raw. I love it. I love The Animal Years as well. But Beast is my fav. I listened at the right time and it stuck. Tallest Man on Earth writes some of the most beautiful songs of the last 10 years or so. I saw Brandi this summer with the Indigo Girls. Such a great show. I knew you loved Van as well. We have that Van bond! Cheers☘️
1904 is my favorite song by the Tallest Man on Earth, so cool. I just learned German Cars by Matt Nathanson. Love seeing that Tom Waits behind you. Magic Time, yes! Don't disappear for so long next time!
1904 is a great song. He has so many fantastic tunes. And I love German Cars. I went through a breakup earlier this year and this record hit me hard. I listened to Future and Soundtrack on repeat and repeat and repeat. I’d listen to them constantly. I’m watching your tag now. Just started it! Cheers ☘️
Hey Brian. Great tag video. Love The Jayhawks. Love Moondance. One of my all time favourites too. Into The Mystic was our last dance at our wedding. Miss watching your videos pal. Hope you make more. Cheers bud.
Hi Rob. I’d love to be able to get into a more Normal routine with videos. I miss making them and I miss the VC in general.
Hope all is well,
Cheers☘️
@@ShamrocknRecords I get it man. Life is busy. Take care.
NICE ENERGY! just did my 1st Vinyl Tag & went super well.
Loving the VC! New sub of yours!
Welcome to the VC. I’ll check your channel out, for sure. Thanks for watching and thanks for the sub.
Cheers,
Brian☘️
@@ShamrocknRecords SWEET ! Great wall too... lovin' it!

Not sure why the singer songwriter doesn’t get the love they deserve. They are the best!

Really cool hang. Cheers.

Happy New Year Brian!
Hope all is well, Ralph. Happy New Year to you as well.

Finally dude 😎✌🏻
Winnie Cooper was a crush shared by many back in the day. Myself included. I almost went with Kim and Savoy Brown, too.
Agreed on that Counting Crows.
I had a chance to meet Winnie Cooper in college and I blew it. I never went. I was such a dum dum. Haha
Great you finally saw the Jayhawks. I saw them this year too and that Working Class Hero LP. Happy new year Brian 😎
Just finished your tag! The Jayhawks blew me away. I had front row. What a talent Gary Louris is. Happy New Year!
Cheers☘️
Never heard of Stephen Kellogg before so thank you !
I also bought that Counting Crows bootleg : not good !

Sorry about the breakup. I went through one as well and am still reeling.
Hey Brother!
What’s up!!! I left FB and Instagram so I’ve been feeling left out of the VC! Hope all is well
Winnie Cooper was the first crush of every guy our age (I’m 46 as well)
She was the best!!!
