the extra speed is huge too. 167 max speed vs 161 can make a huge difference in this generation, especially when you’re trying to get an Eruption off without taking damage for example, you can actually run Modest typhlosion for the extra special attack and still outspeed Max speed Gholdengo and Archaludon
So go easy on me i dont play competitive, but why would a ghost terra help against dire claw? Do ghosts not get affectsd by status? Ghost gets hit by poison moves, no?

gyarados is way underrated. solid bulk, good typing, intimidate and taunt/twave made it a great support atm

I’ve been seeing a lot more jhoto typhlosion and I think it’s cuz it counters hisui-typhlosion and torkoal with flash fire

That Gyrados vs. Ninetales / Gholdengo endgame was so interesting. I couldn't figure out which would be the right targets to prioritize.

Yeah but frisk is a better option since you can see what items. Flash fire is meh at best as an ability

i think that’s how it used to work before gen 5 but now it’s a 1/3 reduction in doubles no matter how many pokémon are on the field
