I am not a native Leeds fan and I am furious as well. I disagree about players for me It is Bielsa fault today. First half the team was not playing well but has the control of the game and the result was not on risk. With the subs Bielsa destroyed the midfield. No barriers with Phillips off and without Roberts had not offensive movements. Alioski and Harrison as usual no surprise for me. Said that Chin up Joe. The season iis not over yet. Sheff Unt has dropped points as same as we are. Bielsa brings me here I learned to love Leeds, it is a like a fanily and I like that. Here in my country I support a team that waited 18 years to win sonething. 18 years. So I understand you in many ways. But even we can not get the automatic promotion there is a chance on the playoffs. Keep supporting guys it would have plenty of time after that if we dont go up to destroy everything, but now we have to continue fighting. As a Sheff Utd fan we went through the exact same emotions after Millwall. As you said, we have a stinker away at Hull but you have the form team Villa next week. Sounds like we both don't rate our chances in the playoffs, West Brom and Villa look very strong at the moment.

Harrison and alioski were abysmal, should of kept roberts on move pablo to left clarke or shacks on the right, i understood the phillips one , forshaw has more drive phillips plays it too safe, 3 to go it can still be done
I was never part of the bandwagon that thought we would be promoted by Tuesday . Thought there would be ups and downs but never thought it would be vs Wigan. This was the worst of the worst in terms of losing to a team who have been in poor form. It was harder to lose from the position we where in . If you could pick one team to play at home it would be Wigan but we made Clarke look like slatan and Wigan looked like the promotion side . We are a laughing stock now and if we do not go up this is all the lads will be remembered for reminds me of Burton two years ago.

A defining moment for the season. I agree with a lot of things you said today and hope you don't delete the video if you get stick for it. There's a lot to pick out from the game and I'm just going to confront some things that I think are the biggest issues in this squad but also why our fans are driving me insane. First off, being realistic and speaking the truth isn't you being a ''negative dickhead'' as many fans like to say. Just because we don't spew out ''believe believe, it's not over'' etc. doesn't mean we're any less of a fan, it means we're not idiots. A performance like that isn't good enough and it needs to be pointed out. First thing I think needs touching on is Berardi. Everyone was praising him loads after the Sheffield Wednesday game but I thought he looked a liability in it. There was 2 key moments for me where he did the same thing twice and the issue is he gets drawn out of position and leaves a gaping hole down the middle of our defensive line. There was one chance for Wednesday early on where Berardi was way too far forward and they were inches away from sending their playing in behind him but it didn't work out. Another was when Berardi was miles out of position and if Forestieri had kept his pass on the ground, Wednesday would've been clean through 1 on 1, but luckily he messed up the easy pass. It's easy to sweep it under the rug after we win the game but it could've been a completely different game if Wednesday just had the quality to capitalise on it. Next is Harrison. What can I say? Seeing all these people saying we should get him on a permanent if we go up and it just confuses me. He's not good enough for the Championship nevermind premier league. For someone of his size and build, he's painfully slow. He can barely get the ball off the ground and it just seems when he's dribbling, shooting or crossing that the ball is too heavy for him. There's a reason it didn't work out for him at Boro and he's what you call ''a passenger'', a good goal last week but that's it. He's the weak link. It was an off day today from Alioski but that's no excuse for just how bad that performance was. He managed to mess up a 5-yard pass several times, his final ball is horrific and he's leaving that left side painfully open. It used to work but it seems it's starting to get exploited more and more and more the more often he plays there. Unlike Ayling, he overcommits himself to attacking play and is a liability. Pablo hasn't looked good since Reading. Before that, he had a brilliant run of form and I was chuffed with him, but since the injury scare, he's not been the same player. Can't get the ball from under his feet, has had a terrible first touch (always bobbles up in the air in front of him and ends up under his feet) and his final ball's been poor. I love Pablo, don't get me wrong, but he's not been good enough considering the stage of the season we're at, inconsistency is criminal. The last thing I want to touch on is Bamford. I am sick to fucking death of hearing all this ''If we had a Pukki, or a Sharp promotion would be done and dusted by now'' bollocks. It's infuriating. No it wouldn't. I'm sorry but are people not aware that we play different systems? It's a different squad? Just because Pukki scores 20+ for Norwich doesn't mean you can just throw him into any side and he will do the same, thus promoting us. I urge anyone reading this to watch Norwich's last 10 matches highlights so you can see that Pukki misses just as many big chances as Bamford has done - if not more! The difference is, Pukki get's so many more BIG chances in a game than Bamford does, meaning he's obviously going to finish more. It's painfully obvious when you watch them. Bamford doesn't get half as many chances that are as clear cut as what Pukki and Sharp get, because we rely way too much on bang average wingers. Our main move this season seems to be spread it out wide, find the full back on the overlap, cross it in or cut it back to the edge of the box and kick it through a body of players. Yes, it works sometimes, but when teams like Wigan overload the box with big, massive, fat, 6''4 defenders, we never find a way through and end up looking clueless / running out of ideas. If Bamford was thrown into the Sheffield United squad, or the Norwich squad, ahead of Pukki or Sharp I am 1000% confident that he would have 25+ goals this season (if he was never injured). And that's simply because of the chances they create. The word ''chance'' is so vague. I keep hearing we don't convert our chances and thus need a ''natural goalscorer'' and it's actually infuriating. Do people not understand there's a different quality of chances...? A ''chance'' for us is an Alioski cross into row Z, or a Harrison cross that doesn't beat the first man. Then people come to Twitter and Facebook going ''We've had 30 chances this game and haven't scored 1, we need a striker!!!''. Unless our striker was 16 foot tall or could teleport, it would make NO difference. Bamford gets absolutely nothing compared to Pukki. The fact all our chances come from basically, overlap, cross in / cut back, shoot through a body of players is the EXACT reason we're losing to teams like Stoke, QPR, Birmingham and Wigan... Because, they overload the box with defenders. When all of our chances come from crosses and overlaps and cutbacks, they simply mark Bamford out of the game and get in the way of every cross. Leaving us with nothing. Of all the 70% possession today, how many times did we see a threw ball to Bamford down the middle? From what I can remember, 0... When you watch Norwich or Sheffield, the number of times Pukki is played in behind to be 1 on 1 with the Keeper is ridiculous compared to Bamford. Bamford's feeding off scraps, terrible crosses and second balls. If Pukki played in this team I promise you he would have a lower goal count than Bamford if he played the same amount of time. I'd be willing to bet my life on it. Essentially, if we go against big, physical teams who overload their own box, we can't score. It's as simple as that really. I honestly think we're more suited to the Premier League, which is why we do so much better against teams who actually want to play Football against us. Derby, West Brom etc. I would honestly prefer us to play a Derby, or a Bristol City in the run in than a Millwall, or a Birmingham. The message I want to finish on is this: The reason we struggle to score isn't that our Strikers aren't converting their chances, it's because our midfield and wingers aren't able to convert a half chance, into a big chance.
I keep thinking if only Dan James had signed in January this game was crying out for his speed and inventiveness. But keep believing , it's not over yet.

hi joe, well what can I say about what I've just seen, yet again we bottle it & it all goes down the drain at the end again. we have just handed promotion to Sheff Utd for real, I can not see us winning our next 2 games. we have a poor record against Brentford away & villa have won there last 9 games they are on fire so it looks like we will be going into the play offs now & after a good season that really hurts but we have to face up to it now. one more thing to say about the play offs that as not gone to well for us before do you remember Watford beat us then, not a happy hunting ground for us. i do think if we don't go up this time we will lose some of our best players in the Summer & I can't see us challenging again next year lets hope our manger stays with us. Got to admit that with Wigan down to 10 men early in the game I’d accepted that you’d won but was seriously concerned about you winning 5-0 improving your goal difference. The Wigan victory is like a miracle, no one ever saw that coming,. Don’t normally like Leeds but the top 3 all deserve promotion.
As a Wigan Athletic supporter, I must say that although the possession and position was all Leeds. Yes, our club is a small town club with a total worth of less than 40 million quid (including the tea lady) we have a proud history of Giant Killing. Don't be so downhearted, I am sure that even if the blades pip you for the second spot, you will no doubt have a trip to Wembley. I am sure that you will be a Premier club next season. Big Cities like Leeds need to be in the Premier League.

First time I’ve felt real doubt for the end of the season. Only 3 games left to be let back in and 2 of the wins we’ll have to pick up are rock hard. You’d have snapped up play offs at the start of the season, coming up as underdogs but after slowly slipping down from being top for most of it? Just worry about how that affects players mentally (already looked crushed today), especially coming up against teams that are on form and have been desperately scrapping for that chance at Wembley. If we fuck this up now and with a performance like that, it’ll be the most painful feeling since I started following (‘03/‘04). It’s still there, I still hope, but we’re genuinely looking for a miracle I think. Looked like a performance lacking leadership for me today. Pablo normally leads by example and when he’s not on it, we panic. Take pot shots, lump in hopeful crosses, nervous passing and decision-making all over. Love Pontus but can’t help but think his bold attitude and chest-puffing goes missing in moments like this when we need someone to stand up and take control the most.
At the end of the day, we could have run away with the league but not good enough in final third since Saiz left, if they’re not good enough to go up they’re not good enough to go up. All we can do is support them and id much rather watch Leeds play the way they play at the moment than any other season I’ve ever seen i think (im 35).

Leeds looked tired and clueless today. What is a matter with players especially Aloski not being able to put a decent ball into the box? Aloski is all over the place but not at left back when Wigan scored! We should have scored so many more gals this season with our build up play, but the final ball has let us down to many times.

Everyone expected us to win this game. It was supposed to be one of the easiest of games we had left and we go and bottle it. We got back to trying to score by walking the ball in. Absolutely embarrassing result that. This should be a right kick up the ass for the players.
Lewis Hamer --- Norwich had three "easy" games and they battled for draws. These lower teams are fighting against relegation, they all stand in the box and look for the odd counter attack, Norwich and Leeds can't get in behind them.

Ultimately the faliure to win at either QPR or Birmingham will cost us. Not strengthening in January (Dan James and an experienced powerful striker who can finish the chances we create) is now proving costly. I was never part of the bandwagon that thought we would be promoted by Tuesday . Thought there would be ups and downs but never thought it would be vs Wigan. This was the worst of the worst in terms of losing to a team who have been in poor form. It was harder to lose from the position we where in . If you could pick one team to play at home it would be Wigan but we made Clarke look like slatan and Wigan looked like the promotion side . We are a laughing stock now and if we do not go up this is all the lads will be remembered for reminds me of Burton two years ago.

A defining moment for the season. I agree with a lot of things you said today and hope you don't delete the video if you get stick for it. There's a lot to pick out from the game and I'm just going to confront some things that I think are the biggest issues in this squad but also why our fans are driving me insane.
First off, being realistic and speaking the truth isn't you being a ''negative dickhead'' as many fans like to say. Just because we don't spew out ''believe believe, it's not over'' etc. doesn't mean we're any less of a fan, it means we're not idiots. A performance like that isn't good enough and it needs to be pointed out.
First thing I think needs touching on is Berardi. Everyone was praising him loads after the Sheffield Wednesday game but I thought he looked a liability in it. There was 2 key moments for me where he did the same thing twice and the issue is he gets drawn out of position and leaves a gaping hole down the middle of our defensive line. There was one chance for Wednesday early on where Berardi was way too far forward and they were inches away from sending their playing in behind him but it didn't work out. Another was when Berardi was miles out of position and if Forestieri had kept his pass on the ground, Wednesday would've been clean through 1 on 1, but luckily he messed up the easy pass. It's easy to sweep it under the rug after we win the game but it could've been a completely different game if Wednesday just had the quality to capitalise on it.
Next is Harrison. What can I say? Seeing all these people saying we should get him on a permanent if we go up and it just confuses me. He's not good enough for the Championship nevermind premier league. For someone of his size and build, he's painfully slow. He can barely get the ball off the ground and it just seems when he's dribbling, shooting or crossing that the ball is too heavy for him. There's a reason it didn't work out for him at Boro and he's what you call ''a passenger'', a good goal last week but that's it. He's the weak link.
It was an off day today from Alioski but that's no excuse for just how bad that performance was. He managed to mess up a 5-yard pass several times, his final ball is horrific and he's leaving that left side painfully open. It used to work but it seems it's starting to get exploited more and more and more the more often he plays there. Unlike Ayling, he overcommits himself to attacking play and is a liability.
Pablo hasn't looked good since Reading. Before that, he had a brilliant run of form and I was chuffed with him, but since the injury scare, he's not been the same player. Can't get the ball from under his feet, has had a terrible first touch (always bobbles up in the air in front of him and ends up under his feet) and his final ball's been poor. I love Pablo, don't get me wrong, but he's not been good enough considering the stage of the season we're at, inconsistency is criminal.
The last thing I want to touch on is Bamford. I am sick to fucking death of hearing all this ''If we had a Pukki, or a Sharp promotion would be done and dusted by now'' bollocks. It's infuriating. No it wouldn't. I'm sorry but are people not aware that we play different systems? It's a different squad? Just because Pukki scores 20+ for Norwich doesn't mean you can just throw him into any side and he will do the same, thus promoting us. I urge anyone reading this to watch Norwich's last 10 matches highlights so you can see that Pukki misses just as many big chances as Bamford has done - if not more! The difference is, Pukki get's so many more BIG chances in a game than Bamford does, meaning he's obviously going to finish more. It's painfully obvious when you watch them. Bamford doesn't get half as many chances that are as clear cut as what Pukki and Sharp get, because we rely way too much on bang average wingers. Our main move this season seems to be spread it out wide, find the full back on the overlap, cross it in or cut it back to the edge of the box and kick it through a body of players. Yes, it works sometimes, but when teams like Wigan overload the box with big, massive, fat, 6''4 defenders, we never find a way through and end up looking clueless / running out of ideas.
If Bamford was thrown into the Sheffield United squad, or the Norwich squad, ahead of Pukki or Sharp I am 1000% confident that he would have 25+ goals this season (if he was never injured). And that's simply because of the chances they create.
The word ''chance'' is so vague. I keep hearing we don't convert our chances and thus need a ''natural goalscorer'' and it's actually infuriating. Do people not understand there's a different quality of chances...? A ''chance'' for us is an Alioski cross into row Z, or a Harrison cross that doesn't beat the first man. Then people come to Twitter and Facebook going ''We've had 30 chances this game and haven't scored 1, we need a striker!!!''. Unless our striker was 16 foot tall or could teleport, it would make NO difference. Bamford gets absolutely nothing compared to Pukki.
The fact all our chances come from basically, overlap, cross in / cut back, shoot through a body of players is the EXACT reason we're losing to teams like Stoke, QPR, Birmingham and Wigan... Because, they overload the box with defenders. When all of our chances come from crosses and overlaps and cutbacks, they simply mark Bamford out of the game and get in the way of every cross. Leaving us with nothing.
Of all the 70% possession today, how many times did we see a threw ball to Bamford down the middle? From what I can remember, 0... When you watch Norwich or Sheffield, the number of times Pukki is played in behind to be 1 on 1 with the Keeper is ridiculous compared to Bamford. Bamford's feeding off scraps, terrible crosses and second balls. If Pukki played in this team I promise you he would have a lower goal count than Bamford if he played the same amount of time. I'd be willing to bet my life on it.
Essentially, if we go against big, physical teams who overload their own box, we can't score. It's as simple as that really.
I honestly think we're more suited to the Premier League, which is why we do so much better against teams who actually want to play Football against us. Derby, West Brom etc. I would honestly prefer us to play a Derby, or a Bristol City in the run in than a Millwall, or a Birmingham.
The message I want to finish on is this:
The reason we struggle to score isn't that our Strikers aren't converting their chances, it's because our midfield and wingers aren't able to convert a half chance, into a big chance.
Absolute dispair. Its very difficult to be positive after that, itd not all over yet. Whatever happens its been an amazing season, monday is massive.

Got to admit that with Wigan down to 10 men early in the game I’d accepted that you’d won but was seriously concerned about you winning 5-0 improving your goal difference. First time I’ve felt real doubt for the end of the season. Only 3 games left to be let back in and 2 of the wins we’ll have to pick up are rock hard. You’d have snapped up play offs at the start of the season, coming up as underdogs but after slowly slipping down from being top for most of it? Just worry about how that affects players mentally (already looked crushed today), especially coming up against teams that are on form and have been desperately scrapping for that chance at Wembley. If we fuck this up now and with a performance like that, it’ll be the most painful feeling since I started following (‘03/‘04). It’s still there, I still hope, but we’re genuinely looking for a miracle I think.
Looked like a performance lacking leadership for me today. Pablo normally leads by example and when he’s not on it, we panic. Take pot shots, lump in hopeful crosses, nervous passing and decision-making all over. Love Pontus but can’t help but think his bold attitude and chest-puffing goes missing in moments like this when we need someone to stand up and take control the most.
