I met Lisa when I was 6 yrs old. She was 5. Our Dad's were business partners. My eyes adored her but she was off limits. Years after our Dad's passed, We found eachother in February of 2020 (just before covid. Then the whole world fell apart)
We married in 2022 and are very happy❤. Its wonderful to be with someone you knew your whole life because you know the purest versions of them. I can look at her everyday and love who She has always been❣️ We are in our 50s now. listening to this as make out music right now. TIME TO GO!😂

Yes the time sure has flown by for us for sure. It doesn't seem that long ago that I was 18 y/o listening to this song on a 45 record. Falling in love with my first girlfriend. That was 45 years ago. Now I'm 61 and retired after welding for the same company for 30 years. I don't know how I stumbled upon this song today but I'm glad I did. 😊

My mother passed in 2008 while I was deployed. My Mother loved Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. As a young kid I didn’t get it, but now as someone that has grown to experience love I totally do. What a beautiful expression of love. If more people in the world would love like this there would be far less problems for sure.
After growing up you got it because this music came from the heart and talked to the heart, it's that simple.

Along with hundreds of others. Literally hundreds. Back then it was impossible to buy every record you liked, because you had to have a little money for other things.
Now I can’t think of a single song I want to listen to. My children are the same way….they have modern day artists they like, but most of the one they love are from 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s.
Something magical about music from the 60s and 70s. So many songs that touched our hearts. Then and now.

Whoa!!! Many memories here. 1974/1975 were great times as was all the sixties, seventies. I can remember when this song aired on our national music program "COUNTDOWN" in Australia. What a beautiful song. This song was one of the last songs that was played at the end of the night at the discos. I would give anything to go back and revisit those great times as I was hopelessly in love with the most beautiful woman in the world, however my eyes could only adore her. Thanks be to RUclips I can reminisce about the great musical eras and great times and go back and do it all over again.
I am so privileged to have been a child of the 60's, a teenage boy of the 70's and long in the tooth in the 80's and so forth. Am an old man now but still have wonderful memories of these great moments in time. Any regrets you may ask? Nah!! I've had a great time and a good life.

I grew up in Newark when FV & his group were "climbing the ladder of fortune and fame". This song got me through challenging times in the Army in '78-'80 when I longed for home. Always brings tears to my eyes. A timeless classic. Easily one of their best, and there were many excellent one's!

I knew Tracey from the age of 3 we were neighbours, I crushed on her at primary school eventually got the courage to ask her out in 1974 aged 11, my first love, only lasted 3 months but never forgot her, went on to have a family so did she, then 3 years ago my life went tits up , bumped into Tracey again and her life had followed a similar pattern we are now both in our late 50s and are so happy together, just keep believing true love does find a way. Xx
When the Seasons come in at 2:30, I break down because they are so effortlessly singing this BEAUTIFUL masterpiece!!! One of the best songs ever written. I was just watching TV and this song popped in my head. Takes me back to the 70s when life was less complicated. I was only 4 when this song came out, but my Grandparents owned a record store so I could always listen to music. I tear up just thinking about how awful the world has become and being so grateful that I grew up in an era that was simpler and a phone call had to wait until we got home. I will forever love this. I'm 23 born May 5th, all I'm gonna say is I appreciate this music, yet I don't believe back then was better as AIDs didn't have a pill to help you, you couldn't have hand transplants as it wasn't around you had the mafia and much more downgrades. Now I am not saying it is bad yet all I'm pointing out is there good things with advancement phones are pros and also cons in which is agreeable but to say there bad is a inaccurate statement along with music I have been to 3 billy joel concert yet I still listen to Jpop anime music, rap, 70s, 80s, and today's hits and to say that one is better then the other is only a inaccurate option because if it has meaning then its music. It's good keep this in mind.
@@InfernoSteelXD1332 Well wait though...I noticed that during the 1970's and 80's especially...you couldn't change the radio and NOT find a good song. With today's music, especially since the 2000's, you have to sort through so much garbage before you even get to ONE good song, and even artists who ARE making good songs (Twenty-One Pilots, etc) their real "bangers" are few and far between. It used to be you could listen to an artist/group's full album from start to finish without having to skip the bad ones...now there's no artists that have enough good songs to even fill a whole album. It's very slim pickings out there. In my opinion, the LAST album made that you could love all the way through is Nirvana's "Nevermind". In 1993!

More heartbreaking then unrequited love is love that is mutual (though perhaps not equally felt) but plagued by social barriers and still drifting apart and loosing the one you love and knowing they lost you too! That was a lot more forever back in the days before social media.. there was bittersweet beauty in it though!
Now, people in these situations while they sometimes might be assisted in meeting again under better circumstances far too often will instead get desperate and do truly dumb things online. And so, what was once love may become something else with just the regret, -which is just sad!

I fell in love to this song back in the 70’s… I was head over heels in love with my best friends brother and we used to have parties and dance together to this song. We did end up dating for a while but it didn’t last, I was heartbroken, he moved away and I never saw him again, but this lovely song reminds me so much of the little bit of happiness I had and lost. I met him in the summer the lights went out in nyc. Frank took me to see him in the studios he was with his new wife and was a nice guy. He invited us to scores. I didnt want to go so we went back to jersey 😊
Was madly in love with the most beautiful girl in our senior class of 1964. Hung out with her at the beach during the summer. I was just to shy to ask her out on a date. Terrified she would say no and crush what little self confidence I had at the age of 18. She came from a world of affluence and self confidence and I came from a lower working class family and broken dreams.
She went onto college and I joined the Marines after HS. Survived Vietnam, and went to college on the GI bill and had a very successful career in the business. As the song says, “made my self a name”. Later found out she died very young. I often wander what would have been If I just had the nerve to ask her out on a date when we were in HS.
Every time I hear this song I think of her and what might have been! Think about her every day.
