Hello from the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota!! We hope you enjoy this drive along Iron Mountain Road. We love this drive so much that we decided to bump this video up ahead of our other #BeyondTX videos. This is a MUST-DO when you're in the area, so be sure to bring a small enough vehicle to fit through the tunnels! :)
Woohoo! So appreciate the wonderful preview ride. We’ll be on that road in just 4 weeks, following in your tire tracks (but on our bikes!) You all sure had a beautiful day and best of all, did it together! Thanks for sharing your adventure. Safe travels!
Oh I just loved it when you went through the tunnels as they are fun to go through. Amazing drive and from what I saw no you don't want to have a big vehicle. Thank you so much as enjoyed the views. Hi Mom and Love y'all.
That was fun! Great camera work. You are right, the beauty is overwhelming. The sneak peeks of Mount Rushmore through the tunnels is genius. Looking forward to more. Hi to Grammy K! 🙂
We’re planning on going there this late summer early fall. It is on our bucket list. This was so helpful. Thanks so much. Look forward to the rest of your videos on the area.
It's a great area Marilyn! So much to see and do. In case you haven't seen them, here is our playlist of our videos from amazing South Dakota: ruclips.net/video/SjJGJ5whs1Q/видео.html
Wow one times the size is wow what a view thank you for showing us her journeys a lot of people get to see things through your channel that nobody that a lot of people should say that a lot of people will never see including myself well am I to see some others who save it thank you for sharing
We were our that way 2 years ago. Did the Badlands, Mount Rushmore, the scenic byway, Custer Park, all the way to Cody WY and Yellowstone. Beautiful trip! Thanks for sharing 😊
Boy, Mount Rushmore is really lots more built up than when we were last there! I’m glad I got to visit when there were fewer visitors. Great monument to see, even if it’s crowded now. Really enjoyed the drive you shared with us. Mount Rushmore always reminds me of the Cary Grant movie, “North by Northwest”. There’s a scene in the movie where they are up on the faces. Good movie! Thanks for sharing your trip. 😃
Hey Gail! They are doing a lot of work on the Mount Rushmore grounds right now. Some of what is normally accessible currently isn’t. So there’s no way for the crowds to stretch out. There was actually a mention of North by Northwest in the park. 😁
What a great drive. When I was a kid, driving cross country and moving from Upstate NY to California, I stopped at Mt. Rushmore. I had no idea about the real beauty of the surrounding area. Now that you posted this, I'll be sure to go back for a closer look. AND... I'm thinking South Dakota might make a good choice for a domicile and a tiny house as home base. Happy travels!
Hey Tim! The Black Hills are amazing! Definitely plan to come back and spend some time. And a tiny house here would be awesome! (At least this time of year.) 😁
@@rvamericayall, Tom, I have a question... what is the width of your widest bay in the underbelly of your rig? I have an item that's 4 feet wide that I'd like to carry. Will that be possible and do many Class A's have bays that wide or wider?
Great video! I was there at mt Rushmore with my parents in late May. We parked our mh at Cabellos which had rv hook up in Sydney NE. And took my honda civic to mt Rushmore. 230mi one way round trip 460mi. Well worth it to see the monument!👍
Thank you so much! Another addition to my bucket list! The scenery was absolutely gorgeous. I am so enjoying Grammy K and her comments. She is delightful!🥰👍👏 Thanks again.
Whoa! At 5:20 you said the largest tunnel is only 12 inches wide. I guess you have to be really skinny to slither through it! This is a great video, like all your others. Thanks for posting,.
Hey y'all did you buy you some black hills gold... I was there in the 70's and bought me some... But it was cheap back then! Tell mom I said Hey! Great video... It certainly has changed since the 70's!💜💜💜💜💜💖💖💖👍👍👍👍
I so enjoyed seeing this area again. I intend to go back sometime. And, surely to see Sturgis. I have friends who go there every year for the madness and fun!!
I was taught to stop and blow your horn before crossing one lane bridges and tunnels. You'd have thought there would be traffic control lights at them, especially since they' have blind entrance on a couple.
Thank you for an amazing tour ! I have been there several times, never disappointed. Trying to catch up on your video's, I fell behind working on a RV base camp for my Motorhome. Take care Be safe. Love seeing mom on the road, your building the greatest memories of a lifetime. Peace guys. Don

You’re welcome! We’ll have more videos on the Black Hills and Mount Rushmore coming up in the future. There is so much to see in this area!
Awesome review but I have to say, Wow.. Only 11 inches high.. i could fit if I was walking.. LOL.. just teasing
LOL! We didn’t catch that! That is small! 😂
Thanks so much. We’re going in that direction next Spring and your videos will give us a heads up. Didn’t know about the Iron Mountain Scenic Byway.
Awesome Don! There are tons of fun drives and things to do around here!
Great video wish I could make that trip myself. I want to take my bike there and see the roads
You definitely need to plan a trip up this way Mark! This is a great place to ride!
Got a great cycle will sale you, that’s set up for rides for that, and touring.
Thanks Ronald! We’re sticking with what we have for now. But maybe someday we’ll look into a cycle. Looks fun!
It was fun riding along with you. Do you think a dually pickup truck would go through the tunnels?
Thanks Brian! The 2 smallest tunnels on this road were 10’9” wide x 11’ high
11’6” wide x 10’9” high
12 inches wide? Lol we know 12. Feet. But caught it lol
LOL! Didn’t even realize we said that! Good catch Roger! 😂
Love you guys but I get dizzy 🥴 watching 🤢
Sorry about that! There are a lot of twists and turns on the drive!
