at 61 years old it has been an up + down 2-3 years of field work trying to get more distance. When I first started I could only throw about 175-185 feet or so off the tee or in the field. Now I just recently hit 270 feet just once from a standstill position. Have gradually made a handful of form changes. I am now throwing 250 feet consistently. As you get older the knees do not want to bend as easily as they did 10-20 years ago. Lol's thank God for good health to be even capable of walking let alone playing disc golf
Great tip! Also star corvette is a under rated disc cause no pros throw it but as someone who prob owns 100s of disc the star corvettes are always out the furthest. Only time I went back to a destroyer is when my arm speed got faster the corvette started to be more under stable for me it would turn right but little fade back at the end still very useful
I have been so surprised by it. Easy hyzerflip for something so fast, but not unthrowably understable. Probably staying in the bag for the time being!!!
Short and to the point. Great tip. I'ma try it out this week. On the course I have a tendency to rush my throw and end up reaching across my chest instead of coiling better and extending out from my chest. Repetition is the mother of skill! I might start with these at a standstill, and then work in the x-step and pause at peak reachback to see where I'm at.
Great tip! I think it makes sense. If you can improve your perception of what your body is doing, you can better tell how to do it, and if you don't do it successfully. That's on top of becoming better at it. 🙂

Glad you are out and playing! I hope I can throw that far when I get to that age!
