Hi, thank you so much for this. I purchased Matic Polygon directly and sent it to my Polygon network address which is the same as ETH. I see it in my Metamask but for some reason it's not showing up within Opensea. Any ideas?
Now (March 2024) Metamask has a bridge option.... $30 to convert $120 in matic from ETH to the POlygon network, too bad :( Any recommendation to buy Matic directly at Polygon network?
Ditto - I have some MATIC ERC20 on my Trust, but I think to get it onto the Polygon Bridge, we need to FIRST move it onto MetaMask (read gas), and then from MM, move it to PG (again gas). But I am researching to see if we can skip the MM intermediary, and save one of the gas trips. Painful. But good question.
Real simple n cheaper. Send you eth matic to a central exchange that supports both chains to send out.BOOM CHEAP WAY to get either chain you want. Getting polygon matic is cheaper than getting etc matic back
I followed this guide and added ETH to my wallet to complete it, but the Metamask extension keeps saying I don't have enough funds, even though the gas fee is $4 in ETH and I have $6.28 in there... I don't get this
good intentions here however I believe it just confuses the issue. Maybe don't make a tutorial if you don't have ethereum in order to actually create a useful video. no offense.
Its not about owning ETH. Most exchanges support ERC-20 tokens and as such when you buy MATIC from them you get them on the ETH network and as such cannot directly send them to the polygon mainnet else they will be lost. Instead you need to use a bridge, one such example is in this video, to actaully get your MATIC tokens from the ETH network to the polygon mainnet or vice versa if you wanted to move your MATIC tokens from the polygon mainnet to the ETH mainnet
Wow that's some bs, I went to send some Matic from coinbase pro & after confirming transaction I see it took 4.6 Matic as the fee! wtf. I didn't even know it was a ERC20 token. LUL
THIS WAS A LIFESAVER.......thank you thank you thank you,, spent 5 hours trying to get the right solution..best of luck everyone..
