TIP from a fellow GOUT sufferer. Treat gout as a food allergy. Keep a diary of everything you eat and identify your triggers. I found mine to be ''wholemeal products such as wholemeal bread/biscuits/cookies/pasta and meat products that use bread crumbs as a filler. (Burgers and sausages). I eliminated these from my diet and have been pain free for over two years. I am no expert, just a fellow sufferer and this worked for me. Stay safe and well people.

@Alexander Kayne Gout attack will come on 4/5 hours after eating. It may be a food or just an ingredient in the food. (mine was an ingredient). To ease PAIN eat only safe food ie things you have tried and that have not caused pain. You need to clear the trigger from your system - it will be sitting in your stomach/intestine and will continue to cause pain. One or two SHITS will ease the pain. (Sorry about the language).
I believe Gout is a food intolerance. GOOD LUCK MY FRIEND>

The ONLY long-term treatment is the prevention of uric acid build-up via medicine as Allopurinol.

Good idea I'll write down my food intake cause I'm not old enough or post menopause so I'm thinking kidney problem maybe I can't believe that my first attack was less then a week ago and I've had 4 full on attacks since

@@juliemolyneux8314 Hope it helps. Treat it as an allergy/food intolerance and it can be a 'food' or an 'ingredient'. (Bit rude - sorry) If you are in pain then the trigger is sitting in your system (stomach/intestine). Try to eat very little for a couple of days or only eat what you think are really safe foods and clear your system. (Sh*t). If your having repeated attacks in short periods - it's probably something you enjoy eating often and for some reason the body has just decided to say NO. Remember please, I am not a doctor, just a fellow sufferer. GOOD LUCK.

An attack of gout can occur suddenly, often waking you up in the middle of the night with the sensation that your big toe is on fire. The affected joint is hot, swollen and so tender that even the weight of the sheet on it may seem intolerable👍

Have you heard the talk about - Taparton Leaving Illness Takeover (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is an awesome one off guide for Curing gout without the normal expense. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my work buddy at last got astronomical success with it.

Best remedy is to drink lots of water and never any soda or bottled drinks. Eating lots of fruits and vegetables has helped an older lady like me. I don’t eat any seafood or red meats ever. I want to do anything to avoid that pain!

Am i the only one that when my gout attacks, the pain goes to my fingers(right ring finger) and connects to my arm and sometimes elbow. Sometimes, it connects to my upper chest( not in my heart, just upper left chest like below my clavicle)

@@partslig123 same here. I hyperextended my big toe . Slipped off my bicycle pedal because I wasn’t wearing the proper shoes. Nothing major. But afterwards, I played tennis foe two days in a row, 3 hours per day, and that did it for me. This was a month ago, and it’s been a nightmare ever since .
