- Elvis’ complete performance on The Milton Berle Show including a sketch and a ‘duet’ with Elvis and his twin brother Melvis Presley!
Broadcast live on April 3, 1956 from USS Hancock stationed at San Dego, CA. This was Elvis’ first appearance on The Milton Berle Show.
"The new sensation in music, Mr Elvis Presley!" Oh my God I need a time machine 😭😭😭 take me back to the 50's... This was so precious, thank you very much ❤️❤️
Ik go with you 😁😉
"How do I describe Elvis ? The greatest that ever was - or ever will be!" - Chuck Berry. Chuck got it exactly right - the most iconic, influential, popular and beloved figure in rock and roll history - the KING of rock and roll, and greatest entertainer/performer of ALL TIME....who else but ELVIS !!!!!!!!
Milton portrayed Elvis the best out of the 3 big guy shows. Elvis band sounded so good too.
Elvis and the boys are on fire!
To watch him walk onto the stage is breathtaking. He owned the stage and crowd the second he walk up to the mic. He actually strutted and held his head up high. That is charisma!
The King, as a Prince......
My hubby and I saw this about a year ago. What an exciting performer he was
I LOVE this clip! Milton Berle is hilarious and Elvis is fantastic as usual! Thanks for posting! 👍
It was hilarious when Berle tries to imitate Elvis at the end! 😅
Love watching him perform, especially at this stage. He was having so much fun.
Lovely to watch funny. Elvis looked so young bless him thank you
Thanks for watching!!
He was only 21 at the time.
OMG that was just wonderful! Thanks for posting this - it needs more exposure.
You’re welcome! 👍🏻

Id never seen this before. Thank you for posting. I wasn’t born yet when this happened. I was only 17 when he left us. I remember my family was so sad. Especially my mom. My mom still loves Elvis. Her and my dad were dating when Elvis became popular. They loved Rock n Roll and I do too.
thank you I had never seen this before either
RCA should bring back the Milton Berle reruns.

Wow! What a find! Thanks for sharing this piece of music history!
What a good sport Elvis was. I’m sure Berle wasn’t aware about Jessie Garon
I'll bet he DID know. Elvis prob went along with, because it was the easiest thing to do. He DID get lots of publicity. So sweet!!
Owmmm 🥰❤️❤️ what a precious gift
What an incredible find! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching! 👍🏻
Wow, thanks for being able to see and thank you, Mark. I was 8 years old when it aired...and love that you've found this tape. Natural born entertainer....easy about it and charming.
I've seen this, but not for a long time. Thanks for posting it, Mark
Elvis also appeared at the show introductions and sang a line of Shake, Rattle and Roll. He was only filmed from the waist up on the final of 12 TV appearances he made in 56-57.
What fun ! Loved it
omg thanks for this. such a gift!
Great post.Thank you.
Thanks for showing a great video , haven't seen this in years.🙌👏👏
Yes, that was great and really wonderful. Thank you. ☺️❤️⚘️
Thank you Sophie!
Never seen this before. Wow thanks for sharing
Thank you!!!!!! Fantastic to see the whole show!!!
Who would of thought it was Berle that invented destroying your guitar on stage…..
Right!!!
Great Find! Never saw this one.
Awesome 👌

I am so thankful in finding this there's also another one when he performed the song I Got a Woman but I cannot find a copy of that but I remember seeing it on TV live from the waist down
Texaco show hosted by Milton Berle . I think it was on TV for 9 years or more . 1950 to 1959 ???
Many many thanks for it
You’re welcome! 👍🏻
Hi Mark, nice to see you friend :) thank you for this classic video, those were the days :) have a great day, sincerely Lior
Thanks Lior! I’m glad you enjoyed it!!
Wow this is amazing, I think Uncle Milty beat Pete Townshend of the Who by smashing his guitar on stage 10 years before.
Thank you Mark...Fantastic!!!
The Complete TV Show was released (unofficiallly Release) many years ago on DVD👌.
Btw all 3 complete "Ed Sullivan Toast of the Town" TV Shows in superb Quality exists (officially Release) in a DVD-Box Set.
Man, i love ALL of Elvis amazing 50's TV-Appearances👍
Thank you Harald!
7:50 "Elvin" - genius... no one caught on
I did I saw at the Elvis fan club I was in Chicago I was in 3 of them Elvis Chicago style was the first Elvis Bruning love fan club I can't remember the third one been so long ago but I saw thing's on Elvis through the fan club's I later got on video
Bro, the way Milton broke the guitar 😂😂😂
Je comprends pas l'anglais dommage. C'est quand même un plaisir pour moi de voir Elvis. Pour la musique y a pas besoin de comprendre. Je sais pas ce qu'ils disent.
"Blue Schwade Shoes" 😁
Elvis didn't make his TV debut with Milton Berle.
He had made several appearances on the Dorsey brothers' "Stage Show".
But this appearance was a couple of months before Elvis's shine on Steve Allen's Sunday night show and five months before his more famous stint on" The Ed Sullivan Show ".
Thanks for the information! 👍🏻
My thoughts exactly! There is nothing new under the sun. I am sure a few pianos met their demise in the Gin fueled Saturday night fish fry deep in the delta! Maybe the new thing is put a guitar out on fire, then try to play it after you dive ON the stage! 🤪
Did his string break during blue Suede shoes??
Thinking same thing
It wàs on the Elvis lost tapes vhs from the early ninties
Wow so I guess Milton was the first to smash a guitar on stage 😆 rock and roll foreshadowing? 🤔🤔🤔
Well we now know where Pete Townshend got the idea for smashing his guitar from lol
I will never forget what they did they cut him in half and drafted him into the army messed up his whole career from the beginning and he was never the same after that. They never even let him be Elvis in the movies being his original Self.
Weird, Elvis actually had a twin brother
Sexiest man of the multiverse...
Hilarious!
Thanks to Milton Berle for not following the crowd of ignorance and let Elvis do his thing back in those times. I will never signed up to be a Republican.
Was the twin brother gag an inside joke? Elvis did have a twin, right?
It was just a joke. Yes, Elvis had a twin was stillborn. 🥺
Conspiracy theory time! mileswmathis.com/elvis.pdf

This is when I became liberated after what they did to Elvis destroyed his career wouldn't let him be Elvis it was never the same after what they did the conservatives
I think he made about four appearances or less before they cut Elvis in Half from the waist up , back in those days conservatives so bad I couldn't even find a girlfriend if you wanted a girl you had to get married I had to talk to a psychiatrist from loneliness when I was 16 thanks to the conservatives beliefs back then and even now.
It was the time then, Elvis broke new ground (a pioneer of sorts). Youre making too much out it with the politics and all..
You're moaning about the conservatives, but look at just how absolutely shitty this country has become due to liberalism. Look too far right, no good! Too far left no good! The truth is this nation was built upon Judeao Christian values. Whether you believe in them or not is irrelevant the truth is that those very values are the reason this country became the most prosperous and powerful to ever grace this world. Yet since the insane amount of disdain people have found with values of decency and morals of the same we have had a decline in every aspect that made this Nation the envy of all the world's nations. Liberalism to the extreme is a severe detriment to us just as much as Conservatism to the extreme is. We must strike a balance.
UNA JOYA DE VIDEO.......EL GRAN ELVIS.... ACOMPAÑADO DE .SCOTTY MOORE.......BILL BLAK...........TRES GRANDES...RIP.....🌹🌹🌺🌼.......🙋
