I started listening to Tiger Army back in 03. Caught them for the 1st time back in 06 (if I remember correctly) with my gf, now my wife, at the house of blues. Davey Havoc made an appearance and was an incredible show. We have followed them every year since then. Seen them when they played in the house of blues and Morrissey was in the crowd, (before they toured together) Octoberflame every year, met Nick and Geoff at Hootenanny, met Nick at the Regions release signing, my wife quickly met Nick at a Lana del Rey show recently. When Regions was released KROQ was taking votes on which song they would premier (i called so many times to vote for Afterworld and it won). Sister in law met and chatted with Jeff back in 2012. I've had the fortune of having nick sign both Regions and Early Years. Both wife and I have TA tattoos. My 9 year old now loves them and saw them for the first time two years . Point is, Tiger Army has been a huge part of my wife's and my life and now my daughter. I'm glad to see Tiger Army grow and go through the necessary changes to be who they are today. It's been 16 years for us now and we hope we get another 16. TxAxNxD.

I gotta admit that before the vocals kicked in, I was singing Police Truck. I haven't really paid attention to Tiger Army since the late 2000's but Nick 13 has become a very talented songwriter. He was always a good writer and musician, but he's gotten more ambitious and confident so that's rad he's kept up Tiger Army along with his solo work.

fuck i was just replying on a different video to someone's comment saying that i had the chance to see them but i bought tickets to Highly Suspect and it was the same day! my stoner ass doesnt remember if i bought the tickets before knowing the date of tiger army or if i knew the date and it just didnt register. one day i suddenly realized it. i regret not seeing them but the HS show was good also. Someday. someday. I was suppose to go to a Dance Gavin Dance show (seen them before) but a few days before the show they stopped touring and thats when a lot other shows everywhere stopped happening. i miss concerts 😢😭
Oh man, dig up their older stuff--tons of their videos on RUclips. Consistently good albums and slight tonal variations between them to keep it fresh. Nick13 is an incredibly talented writer with an encyclopedic knowledge of 20th century musical history; he incorporates that into his work and absolutely nails the sound.
It’s so funny how when I was young I used to yearn for death and now that I’m getting closer to 40 I’ve grown to really appreciate beauty in life and now fear the unknown.
