thanks for your useful video. My w211 220 cdi also has water in the taillights. What would you suggest??? At the Official Service they tell me to change the complete taillight package¡¡¡ Do you think if we only change the gasket will it work??? Thanks for your answer
Hello! I didn't change the gasket because the gasket is made of sponge and not rubber to insulate well. I have added silicone next to the gasket and no more water gets into my trunk. I used ("car mastic/ BRUSHABLE SEAM SEALANT") as a kind of plasticine.
@@ViewTube456 I didn't change the foam gasket because it looked like new, but I still had water in the trunk. I thought if I was going to change them I wouldn't have the same problem. Read the comment above as I explained there what I used to stop the water from entering. I used ("car mastic/ BRUSHABLE SEAM SEALANT") as a kind of plasticine. Anyway, the problem is with the gaskets. I don't think they are of good quality.
Hello please i have a mercedes w204 i found water in the back trunk near the wheel spare i check it by myself i found the water leak from the small plastic window in both side can you help?
I don't understand where the water is getting into your car. Aren't the small rear windows on the rear doors? And those are made of glass. What plastic windows are you referring to?
@@dreamcar2706 how can i send you a small video show you where i found the water If you can help me Really since 2 years till now no body help me to solve this problem If you can send me your email or any way to send you the video

So what actually cured the leak please? You didn’t replace the foam gasket? What was causing the leak then? Thank you.
You found gasket sold separately?

@@dreamcar2706 I think he might mean the trunk vents that bolt on the behind of the bumper.

@ It's not from there. I checked. It's coming through my taillights.
