In my film I show you how you can grow Lemongrass in your home or greenhouse. Lemongrass is a plant that is used in so many dishes and you can even use it to make puddings and ice cream! Why not give it a go and you will also find that you have a very attractive house plant too.

Thank you so much. I found your video extremely helpful. I happen to have a stalk with roots already so now I’m going to follow further instructions. My stalk was only two inches long and wasn’t in the best shape on the bottom but after carefully trimming the blackish brown bottom it still released roots. :)
I never use in cooking but brew green tea with it. I planted directly in the ground.
156k views and 30 comments, crazy. Great vid, thanks a lot!!
Awesome update thanks for sharing Mark have a blessed day
Excellent and informative video. Thank-you!
Excelent work
Thank you for the information. Interesting about starting it from seed is not the true tasty Lemongrass. I have a short growing season. Seven months out of the year my potted Lemon Grass is inside in front of a very sunny window. During our Summer I take the Lemon Grass out of the pot and plant it directly into the ground. It grows fast and produces GREAT stalks.
+LARK'S GARDENS Were are you gardening as would be interesting to experiment with
I am growing in the upper midwest (Wisconsin) of the USA. It gets below 0 degrees F. Bitter cold.
I used lemongrass in all my grilled meat. Thank you for sharing.
Great thanks again
A very Good night from India,
Respected Sir,
Is this full part of lemongrass piece is used for cooking or not?
Thank you
I had the same problem as halley below, got the roots but in the pot it wasn't interested. The ones from seed this year are doing well, hoping they taste better than you say...
I need this, Thank you.
How long does it take to send out shoots that you can use for cooking? I grew a lemongrass from a stalk I bought from a store, it was easy to get it to root. But when I transferred it to the soil it seemed to stagnate. One or two leaves grew but it seemed to take a very long time. How patient do I need to be?
What is that container you have called for holding the lemon grass? I have roots, but only 2 white pieces 2.5 cm long , is it ready for planting? been 3 weeks, maybe water too cold.
I have a fairly healthy plant of lemongrass now and wanted to know how I should pick for cooking. Still a good video though! Interesting about the nitrate.

Thank you 😊
Thanks it's my new project to try
does the pot you put it in to get the roots need to be clear for the sun to reach the base?
I purchased 5 stalks on amazon for 15 bucks. I went on vacation and they die, my husband forgot to water them. He took me to a Asian market and I paid 3.99 for 6-8 stalks. I was so mad I paid 15 bucks for the ones online lol. If anyone is looking to buy stalks try your local Asian market.
I dunno about a "nice moist soil to grow in" all the ones I've tried, bought as potted plants can't stand our heavy monsoon rains. They get rust and go into decline.....I'm thinking they prefer a drier climate?
Good growing Madam.
Is it possible to grow these indoors? Under a hydrophobic light?
Thank you!!
I don't have an asian market in my small town, so I think it's going to be seeds.
Can you please give me the spelling to that white minerals you recommend to go with the compose to grow lemongrass. I need the right spelling in order to buy the correct one. Thank you.
+Lotus Koi I believe it is called Vermiculite.
