William is correct. If you're on holiday that's all very well, but don't just put I'm away ill reply in a week or however long. Put the contact details of whoever is covering your job whilst you're away or the next best person/ dept who can assist you. Jordan seems to think William meant how to contact the person whilst they're on holiday.
I work in car insurance and claims. Saying sorry does not suggest any liability. They also don't really car about the speed you go. We don't take it into account when dealing with claims.
If it ever comes up then we don't deal because it will most likely have the police involved so bypasses me and goes straight to your insurer.
