Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week 2020: DRASACS and ISVA Services

Today we’re highlighting the brilliant work the team at Doncaster Rape & Sexual Abuse Counselling Service (DRASACS) do each day to help those affected by sexual violence.
The team provide counselling and advocacy, through their Independent Sexual Violence Advocacy (ISVA) service, to men, women and children who have suffered from rape or sexual abuse.
Their services cover practical advice such as housing, benefits, how to report to the police and providing updates on developments in their case, as well as well-being services such as counselling and therapy.
Ultimately, their aim is to help give the confidence, support and information abuse survivors need to take control of the situation and move forward.
