I started watching VCT last year and was still new into the esports community until Masters Tokyo where a team called EDG got my attention. I'm Chinese and seeing them progress into a game that hasn't been released in China, makes me proud and especially after their 2nd match against T1 where Kang Kang stood up and did the operator taunt, made me start to love the team and follow their journey from international stage to the newly formed regional competition. 2024 came and it was hard watching them knocked out easily in Madrid and Shanghai with the team seemly not making any progress until they decided on roster and staff changes. 2024 Champions was started and I was ready to say ggwp to all of them and regroup for 2025 but seeing them knocking out team after team and reaching the Grand Final was incredible. Grand Final match and everyone knew they had to step up at crucial moments and when the final round finished, I was tearing up knowing they had a hard journey and has come along way. Thank you EDward Gaming for making VCT CN and the Chinese community known to the world. All the best in 2025! Win or lose, I'm EDGer for life!
I don't understand Chinese but, this video teared me up as I have been cheering for this team since Masters Tokyo. The past 2 masters this 2024 was really tough and, I'm so glad there were so many fans who still kept cheering them on. I'm also so glad that the world has finally seen what this team can do. And, I can't wait for what's next to come! This surely won't be their only international win. EDG jiāyóu!!! 🔥🏆
