I feel like this is the direction the turtles need to head. A super detailed smaller scale, with more articulation than larger pieces is a welcome addition in my book. In the next ten years, I’d like to see a someone like Mattel (because we have the Motu crossover, most likely) do a Masterverse style line, that includes various characters across all the different incarnations of the turtles. Even “Rise”, the debatably most despised cartoon show, had some original characters, like Meat Sweats, I’d like to see get a solid update. Just my random TMNT freak-fan dreams!!
Dude, that would be so cool! A reasonably priced line encompassing everything, and they are all in scale with each other. I want to say kind of like lightning collection, but I almost don't want to say that. 😬 And Meat Sweats 😂😂😳
They're fun-size! Big things can come in small packages. I can totally dig these Mini-figs because it was LEGO & MegaBlox that got me into TMNT again back in 2018. Not the same scale but similar lightweight class. I had built a few big Dio displays & amassed many characters of Mega Construx Mini-figs over a few years. Made sum customs & Kit-bashes as well as found a fitting Turtle Van. Then I discovered NECA Toon Turtles in 2020 and completely converted. All my Mini-figs still remain packed-up and one day i will revisit them.
@toylips Yeah, actually these guys are all-the-rage nowdays. I really like them but just no room for a new scale when i already have a LEGO sized world of TMNT which needs attention lol
@@Toy_The_Poser I like how you come through with this simple answer like you know what you're talking about. I should have mentioned in the video that more modern iterations tend to skew a little taller, but the original comic turtles are short. Around 5 ft. The original cartoon turtles are short. Around 5 ft. The video games from that era actually list the heights. Around 5 ft. The movies from the 90s have them around 5 ft, and even the bulk of the 2003 Series has them all the same height, at 5'2. But it's cool. You can round up if it makes you feel better. Thanks for coming through 🤙
@toylips @toylips Where did you find a list at? Seriously I'd like to know. Because to be honest I'm going by what I've heard what was said once in the 90's cartoon. No I don't know the exact episode. BUT! I did just watch a video on RUclips of the origin of BAXTER STOCKMAN (the fly). And it had a clip of Raphael saying Baxter was 5 and a half ft tall. Ant the turtles ARE taller than him by at least a half ft. (They are even drawn and animated that way.) Even in the live action movies. The turtles where depicted taller than 5ft. It's actually one of many people's complaints about the Michael Bay movie (CGI) Turtles. They thought they were too big. So that's my references. And I know comics and animation artist often use "artist licenses" when drawing their rendition of fictional characters. Even I think the turtles make more sense as a bit short compared to average humans. But since the 90's. I've always known the TMNT to be about 6ft tall. And haven't seen anything to say otherwise. So if you have some resources to disprove this. Please point me to it. ✌️peace.
@@Toy_The_Poserthe only turtles that were that tall are the Bay turtles. Period. 1987 cartoon tmnt were barely 5ft tall. The 1990 movie turtles were all under 5’9”
@Toy_The_Poser my dude, I don't know how I missed your reply! So if you look at the back of the packaging on the OG Ninja Turtle figures, it does list each of their heights. It sucks I can't reply with pictures here, but maybe I'll just make a post. Not to like call you out, just like for everybody's information. That has Leo and Raph at 5'1, Mikey at 5 ft, but it says Donnie is 4 ft? Keep in mind this is like the 80s and these dudes just might have been on drugs? For the original Mirage comics, which I only have the compendiums of anyway, because I'm a punk. 😅 I can't find the heights listed, but they are drawn like a foot shorter than April. But I don't really know how tall she is supposed to be, either. But she is usually around 5 foot, and they usually look shorter than people they are throwing down with. There was famously the Palladium TMNT RPG that listed their heights as around 5 ft, and it was from 1985, done with original artwork from Eastman and Laird, but that doesn't necessarily mean that's super accurate. They of course seem short on the old cartoon, but I don't have stats for that. But the original TMNT arcade game from 1989 does show a bio for each turtle if you let it run, and they are all around 5 ft. That is so hard to Google but I do have screenshots I took off of my arcade cabinet. That was made by konami, so maybe not super accurate but probably close? The tmntpedia site does have sections specifically for the 1990's movie turtles, and it lists all of those around like 5'2, but I will concede I felt like they seemed a little taller than that? But I didn't Google screenshots to try to compare. Plus you'd have to know how tall everyone else is supposed to be? But the action figures for the 2003 cartoon also feature statistics on the back of the packaging that lists each Turtle as 5'2. I hope this exhaustive breakdown is to your satisfaction. 🙃 I don't mean to be hostile or anything, I just told myself it was okay if I came off a little salty on my own channel, you know what I mean? Again, I didn't mean to leave you hanging when you replied. I think it's super cool you're willing to talk about it, especially because they don't make it that easy to look this stuff up today 🤙
@TurtleC0mic that's how I was feeling. I just thought about it and I realized I didn't address that maybe some of the newer stuff they were a little taller? But the Bay Turtles for sure are freakish monsters. Thanks for posting this, I didn't even see dudes reply before! 🎉
hi, is the toys from JOY TOY, any good, you know, good quality, strong plastic,....and not breakable, much better than neca,...i got my son E.T. AND ELLIOT ON THE BIKE, (neca from target "$50 bucks i paid) and it broke right from the package, and even more when my son tried to put elliot and E.T.,,......on the display and it broke some more into little pieces,......my son cried,..i was ticked off,......that's why i'm scared to get any more neca toys for me and my son in the future, even on his birthday,......marius(punk rules)..............merry christmas,.........
The joy toy figures are a little smaller, but not nearly as fragile as neca. All of the joints on the ones I have bought come out super smooth. They use some kind of oil out of the factory or something. But I've never had any problem with the joints. They definitely appreciate that you want to take them out and play with them. A lot of NECA stuff, especially older stuff it seemed like they didn't think you would even open it. I think the joy toy stuff is quality material from a company that cares or maybe just charges a little more. Remember, they are small! Like 1:18 scale vs NECA at 1:10. But the Warhammer and Ninja Turtle stuff has so much detail! I'm not disappointed at all. Merry Christmas 🤘🤘
And hey this might sound crazy, but look up the BST AXN IDW turtles. The newer ones that they did. There's like three or four different colors now, and the knees look really crazy when you bend them, but they are pretty nice figures. They feel good in hand and they articulate pretty well, and they are the only ones based on the more modern turtle comics. Plus, they would scale well with that diorama and they are super affordable compared to other companies right now. 🎉
