You know what I really appreciate? In their staged videos, they're wearing full dinosaur costumes, yeah, big unwieldy gloves and everything. But in their live performances, the gloves are off so they can actually play their instruments. They could easily rely on playbacks, but they don't. Because you can't be a positive influence on the young if you're not genuine about it. Good on you, Hevisaurus.
@@PickleJello the drummer's got a window in his costume's massive spiked collar. the keyboardist can probably just about see enough through her costume's mouth (after all, it's wide and thin, like a keyboard). and the guitarist and bassist probably don't need the visibility at all
@@terrordarky really most musicians don't look at the instrument while they play, especially if reading sheet at the same time. I know for me, the only time I'd be looking is if I'm learning some tricky notes or patterns, and after you have the song down you feel what feels right and the positioning of the instrument when you have your hold or base position properly done you can branch off and riff off of that. Otherwise you usually only look if things go wonky. Think about instruments like the flute where you can't look at all since it's out of your field of vision too.
I just looked up the lyrics of this (took me long enough), and I'm surprised by how well written it was. If all children's literature was written like this, I would have read books from a much earlier age.
I agree, the lyrics are really badass and go very well with the awesome music. Hevisaurus got it right : just because they make music for kids doesn't mean they half-ass it or dumb it down.
@@NoelistAvengerI’m pretty certain they’re all musicians in other successful Finnish bands like Thunderstone and Stratovarius. So they know what they’re doing when it comes to writing. They also probably know great writers and producers in the scene that helped them along the way.
I am German and I love the sound of the Finnish language. At first it's a little weird but the more you listen to it the more amazing it gets. It sound so poetic and straight forward. I love it. Love it that you are bringing children closer to metal with lyrics appropriate for them. There is even a German cover project called "Heavysaurus" which I am thankful for because it lets me imagine what this music is like for Finnish children but the Finnish Version remains the best!

Olen kotoisin Chilestä, Etelä-Amerikan eteläosasta. Pidän Hevisauruksesta, koska se tarjoaa miellyttävän musiikkielämyksen lapsille yhdistämällä "Heavy metalin" ja "Power metalin" elementtejä. Arvostan sydämellisesti panostustanne tarjota pienimmille mahdollisuus nauttia hyvästä musiikista. Eläköön Suomi!
Tää on jotaki uskomatonta mitä tää bändi on saanu tehtyä!!!
As a Stratovarius fan and a huge Sonata Arctica follower, this is REFRESHING. The other side of the coin about metal music: Happiness, enjoyment, simplicity. Kudos for Hevisaurus
If I didn't know anything about them and didn't see what the band looked like, and you told me this was just a power metal band, not one meant for children, I'd believe you.
Hevisaurus is a heavy-rock/metal band (a real band mind you) wich target audience is between 2 and 13 yrs old kids. They have sold over 150k albums that is amazing ammount compared to other mainstream artists from finland ( excluding nightwish and HIM). Me and kids went to see their show yesturday and I was totally blown away. Had so much fun and kids loved it too. The shows jokes had funny and "nasty" doublemeanings that only adults can understand. Räyh! in it self has no meaning at all. It is just a sound that comes from a screaming dinosaur. Like a "gnarl". -M

Some years ago. RUclips recommend me some finnish artist in a mix. I heard it. And I love it.
