Made me think a bit about how fun spelling is.
I am a Spelling Bee champion in a non english speaking country. I usually get 1st or 2nd place in small Spelling Bees and I lose horribly in the large scale ones.
Every time I join these, I am chosen by my school as a representative.
Me nnd my friends who were frequenting the competitions always had Spelling Bee practice. We could skip class and goof around and spell the longest curse word we could find in the dictionary.
It was fun. The most fun in my life has to be during practice.
When I graduated, I've yet to do another one of these. My juniors were the best people. And saying goodbye really hurt.
I wonder what they're doing now. Are they still practicing?
