With everything that Dylan went through following his father’s death to find out that his father faked his death. It was just messed up in more ways than one
I don't accept that that later seasons mess happened. The last few seasons were just Donna having a propofol induced hallucination during a cosmetic procedure....
Well Dylan couldn't exactly be told his father was still father because his father's enemies might have been watching Dylan to make sure his dad was dead.
2:31 it was never a screw up. They faked Jack McKay's death and put him in witness protection which is why we never saw Jack in the car. I had heard the original plan was to bring Jack McKay back but Luke Perry left the show a year later.
The whole point of witness protection is to relocate the witness. Making him fake dead would do nothing lol. He would still need to testify. Writers are brutal in this show. It was such a simple show but they always have to go over the top dramatic with storylines and ruin it.
@@washedupwarvet2027 i totally agree! i think they should have left it alone with jack being dead. this was not neccessary but by this time they were running out of stories.still a great show regardless!
They basically told him NOTHING except: "Your Dad was an informant, and his girlfriend was a Federal Agent the whole time she was with him." Thanks for the INFO, guys!👍
The Jake fake death thing, I've heard about it, but it's impossible for me to consider it real. That does not make any sense. When does this happen in the series? I stopped watching in season 6, after Dylan left. Without Brenda, without Andrea and without Dylan, it's like the show no longer has a backbone.
They planed on going with story line his Dad was alive. But writer didn’t know Luke Wanted leave show. Which why held off on storylines Jack being alive. Nobody but writer & jack character was supposed to know he was really alive surviving car bomb

The whole "faked his death/witness protection" storyline is absolutely impossible if you break down all the info w/marchette, etc. I think they added the marchette storyline.when luke perry decided to leave in season 6. But then they go back to the original storyline when he comes back in season 10...only problem is that it 1000% doesnt work anymore LOL. Later years were SOOOOO. BAD. LOL
@@mrparkerdan i mean Charles Rosin(the showrunner at that part) didn't know if Jack actually should be dead, therefore he doesn't enter the car on-screen, but Charles quit the show before the revelation of Jack's survival, the witness protection only makes sense if fbi arranged the explosion and Jack was in on it
Dylan was such a great character and Luke Perry was an amazing actor
Well said Christine...."Sometimes you fall in love with the wrong people!". ..(Kelly)
Brenda and Dylan fan4Evr❤️
Did not like Kelly either.Brenda n Dylan 4ever

it doesn't make sense with revelation of Tony creating Jack's death
Dylan first left more than 2 seasons later
Dylan meets up with Jack later in the series. He sees him on the news.

I didn’t know lady gaga was the actress who played Dylan’s stepmother!! 😂
😂
always had a feeling that Christine was shady af to begin with!
She looks a bit like Lady Gaga😂
Christine needs greek style
Thank you 🎉Ireland 🇮🇪 ❤
I think Christine’s romance with Jack didn’t help
why did they lied to Dylan about jack faking his death? it's his son, why breaking his heart?
i don't think the show's crew knew if he was alive

Sound like Jack Dylan dad was bad guy turn good guy
@@mikep6399 there're more than 2 season from this til Luke leaves
That guy was on Seinfeld and he really liked Kramer's jacket. He was also in Blow in the airport scene with Johnny Depp

Great music when dylan drives away and tells brandon to make something up
Christine was a hot blonde 👱♀️ Jack McKay lives eternally 🙏
Maybe his father could have warned him about his work
He made a deal with the FBI to help with Marchette
relax dylan, your father is ALIVE, and living with a new wife and kid, in the Witness Protection Program 😊
i read the reason he didn't die on screen so he could be written back without ruin continuity, but it wasn't sure
