Great question. There are actually many ways to do that. Since that nav bar is in our components, we can drag and drop them into any artboard of our choice. Since it have 4 states defined, we can change the states in the artboard. For eg, in the profile screen, the component will be in profile state. And while prototyping, instead of animating between component states, it's better to animate between artboard. Hope you got the idea. I will definitely make a tutorial, most probably on part 5 or 6 of this tutorial series and show you how it's done in video.
Thanks. I use a screen recording software called Captura. It is available in GitHub for free. I use that to record the region if the screen. It is because you still have that icon in the components panel. Try removing the icons from the components panel after you have added them to the art borard. If you listen carefully, I have explained it in the video and deleted the icons. Try doing that. Else try updating XD to the latest version. They have added some fixes regarding this exact problem.

Where do you get your icons? Any unique icon sets you can recommend?
I use a plugin called 'Icons for Design'. It's a free plugin and from that I mostly use 'Meteo' or' feather' icons from the search results.
