Appropriate to have an Indian RUclipsr focussing on the earlier Elder Scrolls remakes, especially here considering how much Vedic influence can be found in the inspired Michael Kirkbride art and lore of Morrowind. The esoteric writing and clearly Indo-Asian themes (with a solid thrust of Mesoamerican to complicate things, because M-K and mushrooms, no doubt), makes this one of the most unique multi-cultural fantasy mythos' ever made imo. Bethesda aren't necessarily shepherding this amazing universe in the best way-but you could also say the essential nature of it has already leaked out, in projects like Tamriel Rebuilt and its sister efforts. Very much looking forward to playing an interpretation of _this_ universe, made by fans, rather than a corporate financial interest. The best possible result in my book, however long it takes.
I love Morrowind so much. Back then as I was a children it ran okay on my pc. I played it during summer holiday and despite being so alien, unsettling and frightening sometimes it was so fascinating. It truly was a world of it's own. And oh boy the music. Until now it's stll one of my favorite scores.
Gotta be honest I'm excited for both Skyblivion and Skywind. But Skywind is more exciting to me because as a kid Morrowind was the first ES game I played. Back then, I didn't even understand it, but it was still the coolest game to me. I've tried to go back and play it as an adult, but it's aged pretty poorly. I'm so excited to play it with Voice Acting and built in a more modern engine.
my fellow morrowboomer, i am in the same boat, i loved it and the magical world enthralled me, but i was kinda too young to really play the game well, oblivion i beat but morrowind just had a vibe with everything feeling more alien and fantastical.
Maybe you guys should add like a fog in the distance to it, like it was in the original Morrowind. The view at 3:26 where you're in the Ashlands but you see in the distance green land with buildings and the sea kinda takes you out of being in the Ashlands. It would probably make the world seem bigger too if it had that
Yeah honestly the fog really added to the vibe in Morrowind.. I get not having fog in the other green areas but in the ashlands it’s so perfect. Super mysterious, you constantly feel like you could be in danger and you never know what’s lurking around the corner.
@@shnorglebop1798 We've talked about that during the stream. The fog will absolutely be in the game! It's just not preferable to have a foggy weather for the showcase, as we want people to actually see what we're presenting. Plus, it messes up the video compression really badly.
14:11 is it weird i think Almalexia looks like Marge Simpson on that mural? The weirder thing is : that works! She's "Mother Morrowind" in the lore, and what says 'mother' to our subconscious more than marge simpson? lol
With the grazelands I always imagined those barren valleys in south central british colombia, dry, but cold. But this place looks like fecking Madagascar.
I hope they do Tribunal too! Would be cool if they let you levitate as well even if there is an invisible wall around mournhold that lets you see the landscape surrounding for atmosphere like the mountains and maybe even red mountain.
I would absolutely love if the Skywind and Skyblivion teams could somehow work out a deal with Bethesda to see these two projects get a proper and full stand alone release. I would pay so much money to play these on console.
Im excited for all the projects. So many updates and so much shown progress. Thank you for the coverage.
Yeah my mind is always blown whenever I look at Team Skywind's work!

Cheers mate!
@@magickaddict My pleasure by a long shot-thank you!

This as epic as a tale of two wastelands mod for fall out 3 and nv
I really hope this mod comes to fruition, people really need to experience Morrowind.

The matriarch of the Simpson family!
Haha! You are too funny Jester!
Thank you for another great video :)

Did you know: If Skywind was ported to Skyrim VR, you could pet Guars and Scribs?
don’t know if i’d touch a scrib, those things will fuck you up. Guars however… adorable. The ESO guars are mad cute
@@shnorglebop1798 on Skyrim VR you can touch everything!

:) Incredible.
Those arent crabs, those are BANELINGS!
i want this more than GTA6 for some reason🥺
hahahaha!
Can't blame you!
Morrowind vs Some Gang Wars game.
Morrowind wins everytime!
Is this compatible with Tamriel Rebuilt also?
This is a Skyrim mod. It has nothing to do with the original Morrowind game or mods from it technically speaking.
Is this using OpenMW?
No. This is built on TES V: Skyrim's engine.
It has nothing to do with OpenMW which is used for playing and modding TES III: Morrowind.
Screams like a little girl..... ahhhhhh... hurry hurry!! I need a new game man..everythings dark souls n crap like that.. ahhhhh
Haha!
Had a lot of Skooma?
