About The Killers:
The Killers are a Las Vegas-based four-piece who formed in 2003, featuring the talents of singer/keyboardist Brandon Flowers, drummer Ronnie Vanucci, guitarist Dave Keuning and bassist Mark Stoermer. This song is so underrated. I can't believe this song didn't get to their direct hits album. I have many favorite songs by the killers and the rising tide is for sure in my top 3.
Battle Born is their best album and it's not even a competition. I don't understand why people are so down on it. I guess it's because not everyone has lived in Las Vegas. Anyone who has understands how special this album is.

I think this is my favorite song off Battle Born because there's a note Brandon hits that just gives me chills. I love it so much. It's the note when he goes up on "Company" and "Dreams" at 2:12 and 2:26

I always knew this song's about the faith crisis sometimes everybody has in religion, but yesterday I heard from 3.27 and realised it maybe was telling about Enrique VIII denied request from the Pope about his marriage with Catalina de Aragon. In revenge, he broke up with tradicional Christianism and founded the Anglicanism. Maybe or maybe not, that's what this song inspires me.

just saw them at the Oakland Oracle for the Not So Silent Night, man they were so amazing, the Killers killed the show concert, they were the best and gave it their all, i am was smiling the whole like it wasn't real. The rising the tide is the coming of God to erradicate all the evil in the world.
I mean the lyrics is there:
"We Will never know how hard you cry , when your petition and your acces was denied" Clearly talking about someone Who wasnt allowed to Enter heaven and cried in hell , a really horrible place. "We" refers to all the people Who were allowed to Enter heaven and Will no longer know no pain , so they "Will never know how hard you cried".
Theres a LOT of things like this all over the lyrics this is just one that came to my mind after listening to it.
When he says "Time came for your solo , but there was nowhere to hide" Refering to the final judge , where that guy Clearly is, thats his "solo" and he cant hide all of his sins. I love how Brandon finds a way to talk about usual and normal life things and also add that diferent message which is not too difficult to find , you just have to listen.
Wrong, this talks about our society and how you can't run away from the brain washing there is in the world until you find yourself and start giving more importance to your dreams rather than other people. And one thing you absolutely sure about, that is death will come to you as it is to everyone else. So you better do what you love before it's too late

Can I just say how well would this song work for Marvel's Agents of SHIElD, especially EP4!?
Starts off so strong and then kind of gets lost and then finds its stride again. Totally re-listenable, but i think I would dig it even more if the "great" songs were spaced out a little more more.
Which are the great songs to you? For me this was a weird album because half of the songs I found to be completely amazing while the rest didn't really touch me in any meaningful way The ones I liked were flesh and bone, Runaways, the way it was, the Rising Tide and from here on out.
