You're hands down the best male fashion RUclipsr out here. The content, production, detail, information and overall effort you put into each video is crazy. Truly inspiring man.
not a clothing item/styling tip, but one thing i also find super important: confidence! sometimes i feel awkward when trying on a new style or wearing fancier clothes, but just bring some self-confidence, and the outfit immediately looks and feels more expensive. as they say, fake it till you make it (this really helped me a lot when i'm nervous about going to fancier places)
Not a fan of "faking" anything, so my mantra is "my body, my choice". that helps me have a zero f*ck attitude, which i find to be more authentic and less performative than feigning confidence.
You know, Tim's style is not really my style (I'm more rocker/band t-shirt type guy) BUT the tips on putting pieces together and accessorizing are super valuable to building a cohesive look.
I don’t think people realise the effort that went into making this video, so well shot and produced man. Fun to watch and great ideas as always. Definitely getting that grey suit, been looking for one like this since autumn! 👌🏻
I have just turned 40 late last year and I am so goin for your style direction. It is refreshingly effortless, cool, subtle and the epitome of a male elegance! A big fan from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
It’s been a while since I’ve watched your videos but after watching a few videos I realise how much I enjoyed your videos. Feels like reconnecting with an old friend. As someone else has mentioned, I’m glad you’re focusing on providing affordable fashion rather than showing everyone what expensive brands you have in your closet which is what I felt a few other RUclipsrs started to lean into. Editing of the video is very engaging too
I learnt to cut my own hair out of necessity as a student. a decade later, I can do it w my eyes closed. I levelled up a year ago during lockdown when I learnt to process my hair platinum. From there I experimented with toning, grays, blues, ash, pastels, and automatically became more noticed and even complimented. I still wear classic cuts of clothes, despise trends but it works for me as the combination of a striking hair color and classic style is the best thing to elevate my look and make it 100% unique to me. I think this covers point no 6, but in a different way.
I would say you can wear one destroyed/rough/super colourful statement item with the rest clean. If you wear 2 or more statement items it quickly becomes very informal. This is why black/white works so well, dressing feels often most difficult with the 'in-between items' - between formal/casual. Have a clean base (black/white/beige/brown) with really cool statement items to use to the occasion.
I've been doing black for so long now. Exploring monochrome neutrals recently thanks to you, Tim. The statement piece tip is important. I've seen many wearing more than one loud piece, including branded logos and monograms, it really doesn't work. I personally realised just one is enough. By the way, you don't talk much about bags. Show us your bag collection? What styles and how to match them with clothes and occasions?
I'm a woman that usually dress gender neutrally, loving the vids cause it's so useful and helpful, thanks Tim. Btw the last bits of bloopers cracks me up lmao
damn, such the wisdom here. I love that you are showing the "style" as relaxed and slim. As someone older, I cant pull off relaxed without looking like I am trying too hard. I so excited that you are closing in on a million subs. I have been watching for a long time (since the video on how to find the right glasses style for your face shape).
This man really be making videos perfect for grad students. Think about it as a group we are poor but expected to dress well and this shows us how to not give a bad impression while not breaking the bank!
I love the effort that you put into each video, super helpful for all levels of fashion and menswear enthusiasts. I’m so glad I discovered this channel.
Wow Tim, this video was immaculate in every way, from the looks to the production to the storyline to everything in between. But I'm most impressed with the art and science of fashion that you've nailed down, and specifically how you were able to literally *refine* the essence of _chic_ in this video. That's crazy! But I saw EXACTLY what you were talking about with your tips. That's brilliant. You're so brilliant man! Thanks for the content!
the polyester trouser! 🙌🏼 thats why everytime i look for something to buy, i at least make sure its made out of polyester, may that be a trouser, a hat/cap, shirts. cause pure polyester garments dont fade unlike cotton. so its kinda great for investment. i love it.
Nice vid, I love the effort you put into filming all the different scenes. I have a meet-up at a chic hotel tomorrow (first time I put my feet there) and I chose a linen off-white shirt with classy beige trousers and white sneakers, thus avoiding the suit. I felt so pumped at 2:50
Hi Tim, I really like your videos and found this one very pleasant to watch. I have two ideas about ways to look chic even on a budget: 1. Though wearing black can be a good idea, you have to be extra careful about the way your black clothes age. Nothing looks cheaper than a faded or worn out black garment. 2. If you have to focus on one piece in your outfit, focus on shoes. Most people can really easily see if your shoes are on the cheap side or not, whereas you can find good-looking trousers and shirts even in fast fashion. Thanks again for your video !
Something I’ve always taken note of when it comes to professionalism and fashion is: A lot of what you wear relys also on how you carry yourself around a room. a modest but direct presentation of yourself goes a long way, essentially as others interact with you. Also also, with mingling in mind, Stick to topics you know, But do some light research on the things you’d expect others to be interested in.😊
I love how you started to show us the application of all previous tips at 06:00 . Please include more of these, since it really helped the viewers to understand the theories better :)
A genuinely humbling video. never watched you before or been interested in this type of content but this video was in my recommendations and I don't regret clicking. 👌👌
Love your channel, my way of looking expensive is just the ‘business casual’ method: khaki chinos + black belt a polo shirt (I’d go black, dark blue or pink) ‘nice shoes’ even doc marten mono black 1461 will do. A metallic watch like silver or gold, I personally have an Apple Watch with a silver band so it does the job. Amazing channel love all your vids
As a woman with a more classic minimalist feminine style, I find your videos very helpful because they have great basic styling advice that can be applied in general. Thank you!
Tim , I have been following you since your fist videos. Thanks for embracing me to change and style my outfits without recommending the same thing like "menswear".
Really loved the videography and construction of this new video and also the long form factor in the first half of the video gave it a real nice look keep up the good work mate🤜🤛
I wear white for an expensive look. It gives off an elegant vibe and I think it suits my face cause I look much better with gentler outfits than masculine/edgy ones.
@@omens3403Grey acts as a balancer for both black and white. It gives an aura of order and calmness, but it can be boring and dull due to it lacking the seriousness and aggressiveness of black and the attention grabbing and bold yet calm aura of white. Grey is a good color, but can be boring if not sprinkled with a bit of spice like a bold sillhouette, a statement piece or color.
You have such a nice channel! Really about Style, not about Brands (besides UNIQLO 😬) Only thing I'm missing are co-operations/cooperated outfits with female creators - how to looks like a cute matching couple in a cafe or hit the right style for an formal event where you definitely get photographed together with your date/colleague/sibling.
I really love this channel. This helped me out way better especially in my fashion taste. I was the one who always looking for the comfortable outfits which are fashionable
Since you mentioned corporate office, I would be happy to see some outfits that you would wear if you had a regular office job with a business casual dresscode.
Subscribed just for this. I love that point about being bold and being casual. You can definitely "look expensive" and cool going the casual route as long as you do it right.
I am girl but I 've been enjoying your videos! I like your fashion tastes but what got me hooked are the editing skills and script - I really don't need to fast forward.
I don't know how I wasn't subscribed to this man before today. High quality content, and smooth transition into the ad plug 🔌 Good shit, now I'm gonna watch some of his newer videos.
My boyfriend has a tricky body, he has athletic torso but he’s short and a little bit chubbier in the stomach and bottom area, and he finds it difficult to look flattering in casual clothing
I really like the direction this channel is going. It’s refreshing to see actual style advise instead of unboxing expensive brands.
Exactly this!! Couldn’t have said it better!
Tim always delivers
Agreed, a lot of “fashion” focuses on having _specific thing_ instead of _an thing._
Exactly this
Fashion is more than expensive brands
You're hands down the best male fashion RUclipsr out here. The content, production, detail, information and overall effort you put into each video is crazy. Truly inspiring man.
Thank you for your kind words Koby! Truly appreciated 🙏💛
No, hands up. He is king of hand gestures ;)
I would agree 💯
Facts
And wholesome community too! I learn alot as a female lurker who likes to dress in his kind of style (so chic and timeless!)
on the top of everything: have a fit body. every outfit looks more expensive if it fits good, and if it fits a fit body. Stay healthy peeps!
not a clothing item/styling tip, but one thing i also find super important: confidence! sometimes i feel awkward when trying on a new style or wearing fancier clothes, but just bring some self-confidence, and the outfit immediately looks and feels more expensive. as they say, fake it till you make it (this really helped me a lot when i'm nervous about going to fancier places)

Another subtle change that elevates my style is the choice to tuck in my shirt, especially with button downs and regular Ts. Good stuff Tim!
Tucked gang Uber mensch
Yes! This tips really helps me to trick my balance/ sillhouette as I have shorter torso and longer legs
But you need to have a good butt to look good with tucked in tshirts imo.
Even as a male your butt is important.
You know, Tim's style is not really my style (I'm more rocker/band t-shirt type guy) BUT the tips on putting pieces together and accessorizing are super valuable to building a cohesive look.

I can't believe how much ideas I've missed out for the past 2 years of not watching Tim. Thank God he's always there.
haven't seen a video from you for a while but wow the quality has gotten insane.
Thank you! And welcome back 😎
Incredible how everything looks and fits so good on him
This dude hands down has the best fashion advice on RUclips. Love his style.
It’s been a while since I’ve watched your videos but after watching a few videos I realise how much I enjoyed your videos. Feels like reconnecting with an old friend. Editing of the video is very engaging too
I like Wearing all black can be stylish with different textures ,fabrics and variations of black than boring plain look
Same and with white for a clean but non-formal look
To me, black is what the help working the event wear, not what the guests at the event wear
@@Mister_Phafanapolis this is a fact. black is usually a hit or miss - very easy to miss.

impeccably put together as usual Tim from start to finish 🙌🏽! The visuals were perfect! #Rainblow
Haha thank you my guy! Appreciate it 👊
As a femme who dresses femininely I love your fashion videos as it's so transferable and relevant
The quality in this video is insane! Best fashion youtuber out there atm, no doubt

I do wear a lot of black and I can tell people take me more seriously. Its kind of mind blowing how a color can give a different vibe
This man really be making videos perfect for grad students. Think about it as a group we are poor but expected to dress well and this shows us how to not give a bad impression while not breaking the bank!
I really like the idea of dressing all black to make you look more put together. I will try this trick on my husband. Thank you !
Ohh you're so sweet for your husband
I love the effort that you put into each video, super helpful for all levels of fashion and menswear enthusiasts. I’m so glad I discovered this channel.
Couldn't agree more with wearing black. It's slimming and sleek, can never go wrong with black & gold for a chic/fine look.

Slowly becoming my favourite fashion youtube channel
Tim should have his own show on Netflix 🤍 Pure class as usual
Ah refreshing to see someone like this instead of of other content creators..
This RUclipsr is next level class

Hi Tim, it was the best decision to cut your hair.
You look so much better with this classy haircut.
Bought 2 Uniqlo t shirts after watching your videos. It’s super good quality and affordable. Thank you for the suggestion 👍
I hadn't watched this video, but I'm going to watch every video from now on when it releases regardless. I've never regretted watching any videos

It’s luxurious and chics!!! To look high class, keep it simple, minimal design, logo free..

Yes, Celeste Cortesi is my female minimalist inspiration when it comes to fashion.
The editing is getting better and better with each video. Keep it up Tim!
Can you do a video on different skin tone and outfits? I have brown skin and I don't know if all the outfits you have will fit on me well.

Im glad i found your channel, it’s not like most of the fashion channels i find. Your channel is just what im looking for! 😊
I wear white for an expensive look. It gives off an elegant vibe and I think it suits my face cause I look much better with gentler outfits than masculine/edgy ones.
Is gray good too

Nice video. Really helpful.
I'll like to add that you can replace black with all midnight blue. It's a dark color that also projects an elegant look
Thanks for teaching me so much about style in such a short period of time Tim! I really appreciate you!

When he says elegant Harry Has appears, so great.
Amazing tips/advice. One of the best to ever do it.
Just wanna say I loved the editing on the intro to this video it looks so clean and professional
super useful tips. Keep up the good work Tim. Big fan from Vietnam !
Tim forever! Hands down my favorite style inspiration at the moment! ♥️
My boyfriend has a tricky body, he has athletic torso but he’s short and a little bit chubbier in the stomach and bottom area, and he finds it difficult to look flattering in casual clothing
So, you're saying that he's MAD thick huh
Find some nice good quality essential pieces and get them tailored.
Same case for me. I get my pants tailored to exactly fit my thicc legs, works everytime!
Make sure his pants are tailored
