He won the heavyweight championship and also secured his best wins after his death. Mentally speaking Mike Tyson wasn't nearly as strong as he was physically. He may have beat douglas had it been 2 years earlier....but he still would have lost to holyfield and lewis any day of the week prime or not.

Had Cus lived he would have train Tyson even harder and kept more focus after winning a belt The problem that Tyson faced that Ali didn't was once Tyson never added to his attributes after being away from the sport for 3 years, while we saw Ali came back from his 3 years suspension adding new ways to fight.

It's funny how fans think - Keith Thurman is far from scared of Errol Spence. And to ridicule the man on his injury is a little unfair! The bottom line is that is had a serious injury which required him to rest in order for it heal. If memory serves me correctly he fought Porter and Garcia back to back and has a 76% KO ratio. Furthermore, boxing is a business and if you think these fighters are picking and choosing who they fight then you don' t know boxing. Al Haymon is orchestrating who fights who and when. People underestimate Spence's footwork, defence and technical ability all the damn time. They're too distracted by his aggressive style to notice Spence hardly gets hit and his face rarely gets bruised.

One can say what they wish about Keith Thurman, but the guy is an intellectual if nothing else. I just got back into boxing about six months ago And initially, my favorite guy was Earl Spence and he's still is one of my favorites. However after listening to Keith Thurman's interviews, I respect the man's intellect and speaking ability more than anything else. Like Lennox Lewis, Thurman is a classy guy and allows his fist to do all the shit talking for him. Rather he can beat Thurman or Crawford is a bird of another feather, but he's definitely a Class Act for boxing.

It took all that for him to BARELY beat Porter.. to BARELY beat Garcia. Spence was already beating every fighter before the knockout, except for Brook which he was was winning the rounds right before the TKO. Thurman hasn’t even HURT anyone lately
Thurman is a real smart guy and is correct about being versatile. The problem these welterweights are going to run into with Spence is that he’s not a natural welterweight. Spence is a middleweight that can cut down to 147lb Lomb enough to weigh in. Giving him a huge advantage come fight night against any of these natural Welterweights.
The only thing I don't like about Spence is that he talks like it's as easy as saying "yes" to make a fight. "I want to fight him but he is fighting a mandatory....." "Keith's injured, I want to fight him".... etc, but look at what Spence is doing for business - he's fighting a Mexican at Cowboys Stadium, because he knows it will draw, but he's fighting a blown up lightweight who was able to compete at 140 against Lipinets and have some success.... ya know? It's "business" when Spence does it, but anyone else, it's a duck, and he's got a mandatory that was calling him out at the same time..... Keith Thurman isn't afraid of Spence. He's working around Spence and building a big fight down the road. He'll beat Lopez, probably rematch Porter in the summer, late this year, early next will probably be Spence vs Thurman and it will be huge fight. Spence should probably look at another Garcia for his next fight, let Danny take on Granados, winner fights Spence. Spence vs Danny Garcia is a good fight, Spence's chin would definitely get tested in that fight. The only matchup I don't like at 147 is Porter vs Spence..... Porter's style plays right into Spence's strengths. I'd say brutal KO in a bad style matchup for Porter.
Spence by 9th rd TKO over Mikey, body shots either stop him or Robert doesn't let him come out for 10. Mikey has success and looks good early.
Thurman by UD 12 over Lopez. It is what it is, Keith outboxes him easy and takes a wide D. Maybe a TKO, but if Lopez shows resiliency, Keith will just work.
Danny Garcia UD 10 over Granados. Granados is tough, this will be an entertaining fight, but Garcia is upper tier at 147, Granados is not.
Shawn Porter UD 12, or SD 12 over Yordenis Ugas in a fight Porter has a hard time and maybe gets a bit of a gift. Close fight, good action.
And, I wish Crawford was part of PBC.......hard to say what Top Rank is willing to risk or give up to make big fights happen for him.

Thurmans power barely translates in this division, however in saying that Danny Garcia felt it and than ran for 3 rounds, and turned purely defensive. But Errol Spence is typically a body snatcher. Spence takes 3 punches to give one punch (to the body). In round 8 the opponent falls. Spence doesnt have pure knock out power, Spence does what Teddy Atlas would call "putting money in the bank", he delivers punches that will effect an opponent in later rounds.
