Your channel is very addictive I have been watching you for a while and it keeps me sane going through cancer treatment keep up the fantastic content and will be waiting for the raffle Saturday morning 👍🏻👍🏻
Well made tool, the plate witch you mark the centre’s for the holes could have a stop plate the depth of the nut for the cut out,💭 I’m enjoying seeing this one going up 👍👍👍👍
Ever tried putting those 250s in with the milwaukee drill you use the flat bit on? I reckon with a nut driver on the screw instead of the torx bit it would be faster than the impact.
Getting more and more tempted to have a go myself, was quoted 24k by a friend but then materials shot up so thinking with the help of your amazing videos of giving it a go myself, can borrow most of the tools from work! What would the ball park figure be for materials on a 6 x 3.5m build? If it makes sense I will purchase a SELF BUILD pack from you guys now there is even more support in these vids?
With regards to Ronnies Hole jig, you could also mark a cut line using the width of the jig for cutting across and the guide plate for the depth! Would make things really quick!! Videos are great either way!!!!
Hiya, now youve got that tool to wind down the nuts to secure the bearers you could bore a hole prior to drilling holes for the threaded bars and just larger than the OD of the tool and deep enough to ensure nuts are not proud, --1 operation instead of three!!
05:16 If Ronnie had made the notch (for positioning the M24 thread) in that tool a big triangle (kinda like a bird mouth) instead of a small 25mm wide rectangle, it would centre the plate for both bolt and nut scenarios
Gotta ask, what happens with the leftovers of the M24 threaded rods? Seems a shame if it's binned especially when there's a third left. Just noticed you used 21 rods on this job, with 30cm left for each rod that's over 6 meters scrap! Company should buy them back to melt them down to be remade
Great video as always!! Can I use jablite for the floor insulation instead of kingspan? It’s quite a bit cheaper but not sure if there’s a reason for that
Instead of small hole to mark centre, grind a square line out. To mark across the whole face of the timber. Then just grind a notch in the centre of the plate. That should do it!!
Have you ever tried using a Forstner bit to make a larger hole than the nut at the top of the base plate as an alternative to notching it out? With Ronnies tool it would be a neat alternative.
@@thegardenroomguru Yeah I was on it early before the sound pulled through. Love these videos and completely hooked on these daily walkthroughs. Keep up the outstanding work and taken the fear out of alot of the processes 🙌

Do you think it's possible to use the floor sheets for roif instead if osb sheets as I have plenty of these left over from a extension build
Love it when Liam can’t find a tool and just starts repeating the name of it to everyone stood nearby 😂
Great vids. Love watching them 👍🏼
This is so refreshing. Minimal editing really helps as you appreciate all the small issues which slow you down. Keep up the good work!
That's class that bit of engineering mate. Fair play Ronn ! 👌
iv always liked you and your team's work , great stuff and down to earth also well impressed with the Ronnie bar and jig.👍
Never get bored watching even though I've seen you guys from the start of channel 🤣👍 great job despite the weather!
Thanks 👍
Liam moves so quickly you didn't even see him swig that lucozade. Skills. 😉

Another cracking job By Liam and the gang, Bravo.. Keep em coming bro
Does Ronnie have a website where we can buy these amazing time saving inventions?

Looking good Liam. Hope you all have a nice bank hols. Reminder set for Saturday morning raffle!
Jen cannot be arsed at all in this video lol.
I’m totally addicted to these very informative videos. Fantastic job as usual Liam 👍🏼👍🏼

Hi, great content. Where do you get your insulation from please?
So expensive

Hi Liam, have you tried Chipstick poly glue. It’s good stuff & cheap?

Great work again Liam as always, how do them boots hold up,they still the first pair?

It is a waste but with uneven ground the mtr rod works well
@@thegardenroomguru Noticed on eBay there over £30 each 😳
Ground screws aren't even that much I don't think depending where you buy
Have you ever tried using 2 fat screws instead of joist hangers?
It may be easier using a drill instead of an impact driver for the 250mm screws mate.
Can I ask why you don't use SIPs panels for the wall?. Love the channel by the way.
where do you get your upvc soffit and facia from mate,?currently doing my own garden build and about to need to buy some, cheers keep up the good work👍
Gap plastics or northern building plastics mate
I'm so addicted to these videos maybe soon I'll be able to build my own 😂😂
thanks for sharing.... love it ... keep up the good work
Are you not putting tyvek under the floor anymore?
Is a vapour barrier not needed before you place the floor chipboards?
Have a look into the milwaukee cordless band saw👍no 240v power needed at all then
That tool is mint.
Great video as always!! Can I use jablite for the floor insulation instead of kingspan? It’s quite a bit cheaper but not sure if there’s a reason for that
It breaks down much sooner than celotex
Would L shaped metal shoes for the front & back of the build be the answer to joist hangers clashing? Understand if you can't allow for any movement
it would mate, but just another product to source, it took a long time before we could get a supplier to supply the shoes as they are cut and drilled
@@thegardenroomguru Great vid! Please advise where to get thered, shoes and washer plates in one place. Thank you for your help!
Bapps bolts sell the lot mate
Have you tried taking extension of the impact driver to drive them in faster
Maybe a handheld cordless bandsaw would be better for cutting off the rods? Might save money on discs, just a thought
Thanks for these vids!!
Do you think a square plate washer can be used for support rather than the PFC?
Yes mate, no worries
@@thegardenroomguru nice one, thanks for the swift response!! 👍👍
Love it, although 56:36 the magnetic bit on the stanley fatmax tape measure is removable.
Spray the glue with water from a spray bottle and the glue will set much quicker, that pu glue sets from the moisture in the air
Really?
Hold on, it don’t set quicker on rainy days 🤣
I do it all the time works a treat👍
Brilliant Liam, keep on going mate!!
We love it raw. It keeps it real

I really really hate cutting pir board to fit inbetween studs. Especially when they're a bit warped. Such a pain in the arse.
An hour and a half 😯
You weren't joking when you said it was taking a long time to edit
I'll watch as much as I can before bedtime though 👍
Should call that tool Ronnie's T Bar 👍🏻
Love the videos bro awesome 👌 work as always
Have you thought about using a hole cutter for the nuts instead of the chainsaw.
Where can we buy those shoes from?
Bapps bolts 👌
I love this content, would love to make one of theses rooms one day.

Another great video !
I bet Davey gets regular phone calls from the boss at night.... 'Where's me remote control davey' ....... 'Davey Where's car keys'.... poor Davey 🤣
Use 75mm ring shank nails and your floor won’t squeak!
Hello Liam, Davey is mustard on the camera, I didn't see much of Jen though !
Jen didn’t look happy today.
when I watch it back, I realise he knows everything what's going on as he knows exactly where to point the camera, most of the time anyway😂
Rock on Ronnie !!! 🤣🤣🤣👍🏻
Great vlog, but no safety goggles!!! 😎😎😎
Is that the house that used to be the sidemen house, looks just like it lol.
Nice work!
Bloody hell how many nails in that bottom rail 😂😂
The video speaks for itself 😂😂
👌
Where’s Adam gone the sparky ?
He’s just gone
Any chance of some content on your house aswell mate 😆😆
😂
Mate really enjoying the videos but can barely hear you 🦻
Is there no sound on this one ???
Lol thought it was my Bluetooth speakers!
Sound is fine.
Sound is now working - must of caught up - loving the vids and all advice given
spotted in tescos seacroft :)
🤣🤣
beltin
Is this a secret?
do you mean the sound? think RUclips was slow to catch up mate
