This is an excellent interview!!Thank you for asking such well thought out questions that brought out so much of Adam. It’s so refreshing to see Adam talk about skating, and it’s so wonderful to see him continue to love the sport. He seems honest and genuine in his love for skating and love for his life, and I love the way he carefully throws shade here and there, as well as embraces the negativity that also existed in his past life. Thank you to both!❤️

So many very talented US skaters have not achieved their competitive potential for psychological reasons. Adam included. But, Adam overcame it. In the last 2 years he became incredibly consistent. How did he do this? He should be a speaker every year at champs camp

  • @Frooti.loopz23

What I need to know about the Mariah/Eunsoo incident is why did Eunsoo's pr team immediately go to the media??? Why didn't they pull the girls separately and talk to them privately?? If there was evidence of prior bullying, where is it? Bullying isn't one isolated incident it's multiple ones. What does Mariah even have to gain from attacking her former teammate? Not like either of them have a real chance of the podium, when you have Russian girls with quads. I just feel like the pr team and the media blew everything out of proportion, especially when I saw the injury. They made it seem like she sliced her leg off and she would never skate again, in the picture I thought it was a paper cut. I personally blame the pr team and the adults calling Eunsoo a liar, not the girls. This WHOLE situation should have been handled more professionally.

While I completely, 1000% agreed with Adam’s selection to the Olympic team, I agreed 10,000% with Ashley’s selection in 2014. It pissed meTF off that the quadrennial fans were so critical of Ashley and kept commenting that she “stole” Mirai’s spot, but it was really ridiculous to see the contrast w/r/t their embrace of Adam in the same scenario. Miss Ogyny ain’t just a groped pageant contestant.

@@MrChaseBlue So what? Ted Barton only had very limited success at Senior level and we all love him because he's a perfect commentator for the JGP, not because he only ever won one medal at a senior A. Adam is every bit as knowledgeable in figure skating as Johnny and probably preferable because there's nothing more insufferable than when a skater does something and the commentator makes it about themselves and their own career. Less achievements the better in commentating please, so we don't have to hear the same self-indulgent dribble over and over again.

I honestly don’t even think Olympic-year Nationals should count... I think the Olympic team should be decided before. Excellent, non-phenom skaters like Adam, Jason, Ashley - i.e., folks who’re at the top but aren’t a Nathan Chen or a Michelle Kwan - have too much pressure on this one effing night, and it’s silly. As Adam said, ice is slippery, and skating should be about body-of-work and not about a single, crazy-high-pressure national competition

She should have at least appologized, that would be a decent thing to do even if it was an accident, but Americans never do, they think they are always right

Did you hear what Adam said? (A) The person doing their program has the right of way (this is true in every rink in the world) and (B) no way Eunsoo didn't know Mariah's program placement as they practiced in the same rink everyday (if you had ever skated, you'd know this.) People get distracted at World's, it was a flipping accident. And for the last time, Mariah said she apologized!

Kristie Rockwill She did apologize. Not sure why you all keep lying about this. I guess it’s because Eunsoo’s PR people claimed she didn’t, but they also claimed they would be releasing evidence of Mariah’s supposed bullying and never said jack shit about it again after the competition was over. So not sure why you would believe anything they said at all at this point. If Mariah had been lying when she made her own statement about it later, saying she apologized, Eunsoo’s people would’ve refuted it. But they didn’t. Get a life and get over it.

@@evanperilstein5308 she didnt apologize until Eunsoo team made a complain. Nevertheless eunsoo fans were wrong to bully mariah, but the NA figure skating public figures were wrong as well to make passive agresive tweets about eunsoo. Including dave who said that eunsoo team was making up all of these to sell tickets for ATS when the star was The Queen there. First, They kept saying that the SK articles were click bait just because it written in hangul not english when it came from reputable news outlets. When people started to say this statement was boderline racist then Adam quickly said that the bullying outside didnt happen when he wasnt even there often enough to notice these thing and the investigation didnt happen yet. Then yes mariah boyfriend who said they werent racist cause they have japanese friend. Or even raf who said that mariah has innocent face who couldnt possibly capable of hurting anyone. I mean Do all bullies have mean face ?? I dont know if the bullying happen or not but we shouldnt shut down the alleged victim when they tried to come out. We should hear two side of the stories first and investigation should happen first before anyone accused who is lying and who is telling the truth. And what if it s not even lie but misunderstanding because both of them came from different culture and background ?? P.S SORRY for the LONG ESSAY with bad grammar.

I do not see the point of making an open accusation *at Worlds* if Eunsoo was indeed bullied. Like we see the outcome today, the open accusation without a proof always brings unnecessary drama. Have it done the good to either Eunsoo or Mariah? No.

It's totally unnecessary to talk about an incident that was blown out of proportion AGAIN

He is directly involved with one of the skaters and there has never been natural follow-up or resolution to the incident by any involved in the media.
