I just got this guitar today. It's phenomenal. I like everything about it, but I'm probably going to change the pickups out for some BKPs of some sort. I could just slap some Fluence Moderns in this, like I have on two of my 6 strings, but I'm curious to see what BKPs can do for me and want to go the passive route. The guitar weighs in at 8.2 lbs., which is a bit lighter than expected, given the Evertune's added weight. It's light, comfortable, easy to play and I'll never buy another guitar again without an Evertune. Imagine being in tune out of the box, with perfect intonation up and down the neck and not having the B string go all flubby and in and out of tune when hit hard. I can hit any string as hard or soft as I like and they just stay in tune. Good shit.
Congrats! Yeah I love this guitar but the pickups are sort of “jack of all trades master of none” thing. Have you used any Bareknuckles before? My favorites are the Painkillers but they’re all good. The only ones I’d suggest staying away from are the Juggernauts - the pickups in this Jackson reminded me a lot of those 😅
I haven't experienced any Bareknuckles before, nope. Funny that you mention the Juggernauts - I was going to go for a pair, but the Ragnaroks, Polymaths and Silos are really appealing to me instead. Rick Schneider from Polaris used Juggernauts for years, but he recently put a Ragnarok in the bridge of one of his guitars because he got tired of the general sound of the Juggernauts in the bridge. As you said, he basically implied that they're a jack of all trades but a master of none. He also put some Polymaths in another one of his guitars and says that they're so good he may just switch all of his pickups to them. @@sunnyhaair
That gold top is drop dead gorgeous! It reminded me of my old LTD 1000 gold sunburst. I'm started to notice that a lot of companies such as Schecter, Jackson, BC Rich, LTD, and others seem to be producing their made in korea models in the same factory. This isn't a bad thing, in fact most of them are spec'd very similar. Which makes it easier for someone to find the exact guitar they want without worrying what brand it is. I recently picked up a Schecter Mach-7 and it's bonkers for it's spec's. I was thinking of maybe grabbing this exact guitar next since it's spec's are similar. Either way very nice guitar!
Thanks buddy I appreciate you sticking with me! The camera really doesn’t do it justice! It’s so sparkly it overwhelms the lens if the lights too bright 😅
Can i ask why you never ever play any major or open chords ? Considering you seem to know a great deal about set ups etc, literally every video you play those strange “The Cure” chords ? lol 😂 don’t get me wrong, i enjoy your videos and some of your tones are awesome! Plus i love The Cure !!! 😂
Honestly it’s just for this very reason lol When I first started making videos on another channel I was watching back one day and realized I somehow always ended up playing Nutshell by Alice In Chains or Oasis stuff. When I started back with this channel I consciously wanted to stick with suspended chords and more vague sounding stuff But lately I’ve been sneaking “Nutshell” into the background during voiceover segments. I don’t play in the videos, but I’ll spend hours on the couch playing cowboy chords 😌
Comparing it to my RG 5170b, the Jackson's neck isn't as flat-backed. It's more of an oval, C-shape. Not thick by any means but not an Ibanez thin-D with the pronounced shoulders typical of Wizard HP necks.

Are the Polymaths the Nolly set? Cause I’ve really wanted to put those in a guitar
Yup! I think I may consider them for one of my 6 strings actually.@@sunnyhaair

Another excellent review, my friend. Beautiful guitar, i must say

That clean tone sounds emo as hell. I dig it
Glad you like it! It's got it's uses I suppose. Very Diary of Jane esque
Thanks for watching!
beauty guitar 😍
One of the best looking guitars I’ve ever seen for sure
dope 🤘
Could the pickups be the issue with the cleans? Sounds a bit lifeless. 🤔
Sadly, yes :/
I’ve had some more time with Fishmans and I just don’t think their clean tones are good enough for me
What amp r u using here? Sounds very modern 👍🏻looking to get a 7 string Jackson pro plus ➕️ in black ⚫️
Sorry for the delayed response! This was HX Stomp
@@sunnyhaair Thanks 😊 👍🏻
What do you think of the soloist?
The soloist felt and sounded as good as it looks but 😞 I just can’t get along with Floyds

@@sunnyhaair lmao !!! 🤣 totally understand ! Keep up the great work 😁😁🎸👌
How would you say this neck compares to an Ibanez RGD or an Ibanez AZ?
In terms of size it feels exactly like I remember Ibanez necks feeling in terms of the width and shape, it’s just a touch thicker

@@DukeLetoIIII have that guitar too, I love it.
What’s the factory tuning of this guitar ?
Classic 7 string tuning: Standard with the low B 😎
@@sunnyhaair Thanks man
