- I try to avoid vague, clickbaity titles and prefer to be basic by summarizing the content of the video. The content of this one basically amounts to: this is the best guitar I've ever played. I'm blown away by @ernieballinc! Outside of the scratchy pot, it was the most flawless guitar I've ever played too. I really enjoyed my time with it and one day plan on buying an HT Sabre (gotta wait for the raspberry finish though)!

I have been collecting guitars for nearly 20 years. The Stringray HT is easily the best playing guitar I own. Incredibly well put together, can melt your face off and yet still has a clarity to the pickups that I just can't find with anything else. Matching it with a Rockerverb and Mesa Cab is just. a dream set up.
Perfectly said! That’s one thing I should’ve pointed out in here - how well it works with diverse signal chains. Whether thru hardware or software amp sims, Peavey Vypyrs, Blackstar Fly 3s, or dual rectifiers it sounds amazing and retains all of its dynamics.

I appreciate that! I remember thinking the same thing after getting it. It’s way too good and versatile to have not had the same media blitz EBMM gave to the Mariposa, and Kaizen etc.
It’s a huge level up in pickup tech!

Awesome review. I'm a big fan of the openness of single coil pup tones, though; have you had an opportunity to try out the HT single coils from EBMM?
I have been wanting an Ernie Ball for awhile with my eye on a St Vincent but this looks pretty cool as well. That price tag though.
That price is definitely scary. I’d been seriously considering a Mariposa on the zZounds 12 payment plan in 2021 but backed out and bought the few guitars I made videos with back then. After playing this one though I know they’re worth it. I think I’ll go with an HT series Sabre at some point… but I’ll definitely be selling some things off first lol.

EBMM makes the best production American guitars. I still wind up switching out pickups though.
I can’t disagree with you there! I haven’t played all the American production guitars, but out of what I have this one wins for sure.
I also haven’t played any other EBMM so I might not be the best judge of all their pickups 😅. I thought these were perfect though.

@@sunnyhaair To be fair, my taste in pickups is pretty specific at this point in my life. The only guitars that I have kept the stock pickups in are my Eastman guitars.
I’m not too familiar with Eastman but they must be pretty good then. I’ll watch some videos
Are the pickups active or is the battery box for the pre-amp? Would like to throw my usual passive pickups into if I get it and not have to gut the electronics/pots 😊

I can't read the scripted text fast enough. Slow it down a bit. Not the playing, just the text. Great vid. And in a sidenote AMS crushes zzounds in terms of payment plans and financing options. For real.
Yeah I’ve been trying to get the timing right for the text segments in my videos - hopefully it’s getting better. AMS is awesome too. AMS and zZounds share the same inventory and financing options 😁 they’re sister companies
