I’ve spent a lot of time in Lowes looking at both systems. Klein, did a heck of a job on their system. It’s pretty robust. But Stacktech is just downright sexy. Plus the metal corner reinforcement. I got too much invested in my Ridgid box system to switch, but I’ll probably get the small Stacktech box just to carry my testing equipment in. It presents a better image to my customers.
Right now at Lowe’s, it seems impossible to buy the toughbuilt 3 drawer or any drawer for that matter. Is it toughbuilts supply? Or is it Lowe’s completely dropping the ball with toughbuilt?
This is rough. I’m leaning towards Klein for several reasons one being the handle width. Could you rain water on drawer units from the top and see if any drops get in? Just curious.
These both seem to be two of the best out right now. It seems as if the Klein is set up a little more for the electrician, maybe pipefitter whereas the tough built seems to be set a little more for automotive, and other work. For me the Toughbuilt suits my needs a little better for a temporary modular box at the drag races. I would be constantly cleaning stained orange plastic of finger prints after use. Whereas the Toughbuilt could get away with an occasional cleaning. Ultimately for me it was the latching design of the Toughbuilt that I prefer. It seems effortless. You can also latch Toughbuilt facing forward or reverse. The Kleins swivel cup holder ( which doesn't seem to be super flexible) tape measure and conduit/pipe groove for marking pipe don't outweigh the Toughbuilt latching system and more maintenance free color. There is a youtuber that sells a locking system for the Toughbuilt which is simple and effective but at an extra cost. Finally Toughbuilt is coming out with a bunch of new items still this year to bolster options. The killer one will be the easy load stretcher type assembly that allows heavy hitters to load their boxes into a truck with ease. Time will tell.
Awesome video. If I would have seen this 6 months ago I would have gone with the Klein. By chance does the Klein belt clips fit on the cliptech bar? Thank you for the video!
Thank you for your toughbuilt videos. I almost went packout but only had two boxes so the switch was easy. Great system but I would have to say my main gripe would be the two shelf system cannot hold two 3-drawer boxes. It can only store the smaller boxes on the bottom. It would be great if they had longer metal wall supports... Even if we could buy them separately.
Joe thanks, we're excited to see the newer boxes launch there's going to be some large draw boxes they say by summertime I think they might go a little further out hopefully before the end of the year thanks for your comment
That is great to hear but I doubt it will still have the clearance. The crate fits but not the ammo looking box. I am debating cutting the support in half and raising it. Having a hard time thinking it is a bad idea. What are your thoughts about it? Half the metal is for one shelf anyways.
Using a combination handle and accessory bar on the ModBox requires users to remove all (or most of) the accessories to use the side handles to lift the toolbox. IMHO, this is a significant design flaw if you regularly use their external accessory feature. They should redesign the top of each ModBox to incorporate a fixed recessed handle. And the internal accessory option occupies valuable interior space so not that useful.
I just wish all of these companies made a draw or "tip out" or tilting tray to the large compartment at the bottom instead of having to take compartments off above.
Tough built stack. Tech system has a tuxedo touch to it. Just more professional. The Klein stuff looks like it's a you know. Looks like it'll melt next to a water heater, but you know it's a talking piece for the electricians on job site
Great video! Love the side by side comparisons. Consider me a subscriber after this video, gonna go back and watch the last few videos that you've done too
Thank you for this video you did, I have been looking at these for months now and even looked at the Milwaukee Packout also but everyone has the Packout. Klein looks really nice but I don't like how it takes a little time to off stack the cases but I do very like the pull up handle on there! It's a tough decision between the too! Thanks again
Both have ups and downs but Toughbuilt I feel wins overall! Better built, better accessories. For the price points, I feel Toughbuilt is money better spent
Klien has been around and will be around forever. Toughbuilt is already fighting for market shares and struggling financially. I am not looking to spend a few thousands to outfit the van and have them dip and never get any warranty/product development.
Great video except everybody and their dog has done the SAME thing before you did. We would like NEW information. New opinions? Which do YOU prefer? Better options now and planned? How available. Basically we need updates on which is the better system and why, not more info we can read on their manufacturer website. You did do a great job on the vid presenting information it is just that the content is old news and nothing new or exciting.
Stop crying you read the title & clicked on the video. I'm sure bro wishes for nothing more than for packout & stack tech etc to stop taking their sweet time coming out with new things

Один из лучших обзоров. Благодарю за работу.
Thank you
I like Klein, not by a KO but on points. Great information and fun to watch. Good job👍😊

Best bet is to go into a few Lowes, also check top stock, their inventory is crap
Online shows 0 inventory at every location.

I’ve heard from some that they don’t have any issues
Exactly what type of review I was looking for. Nice job!
Thanks 👍🏼

Thanks buddy and no, it doesn’t fit

If you can do it then make it strong enough then why not

Great review that will help with my choosing.
Thanks buddy
You can run a piece of 1/2'' emt through the handle of the mod box for pulling wire

It’s coming! TOUGHBUILT says by end of year
I was looking for a mobile system for my handyman business. I’m going with the Mod box but I do like the Tough Built easy release

Go Yankees
@@TechMadeEzyyes sir!
I went with toughbuilt really like the clip tech belts and bags
I can't wait until 2025
Great review, both nice products. I like the color of the Klein, which stands out and might be seen better for safety.
or theft...
Thanks

I understand that, hopefully they will survive, not sure if you’ve seen their future catalog of items launching this spring and summer but pretty nice
I'm in the same boat right now. They are about to be delisted from the NasDaq. Not good.

delete that flag before anyone can take you seriously.
