The Dead Sea Scrolls have most of 2 books and parts of a 3rd book. Ethiopian Church has 2 books of Enoch. There is more than 1 book of Enoch. In total we know from history there was originally 4 books of Enoch. Today from the Ethiopian Church we have 2 books. From the Dead Sea Scrolls most of 2 books, and parts of a 3rd book. I think that the big thing youre missing here is that most books of the Bible were written by other people. Not just who the book is named for. Also for anyone wanting to cypher the books for themselves should pick up an Apocrypha. Its all the lost books of the Bible.
it's only lost in the Protestant Bibles such as the KJV. The Catholic and Orthodox Churches have the Apocrypha books and my Catholic Bible has the book of Enoch in it as well, or at least one of them.

I have read the book of Enoch and it is amazing. It was quoted in Jude and other places. It even talks about events around Jesus return. I believe we are close, and we will see some amazing and horrible things.

I am from Eritrea a neighbouring country of Ethiopia. The book of Enoch is taught to the deacons in church but the church does not allow it to be taken out of the church. The Deacons do try to teach the rest of the followers about the book of Enoch but a lot of people find it contradicts with the bible. By the way it’s written in Ge’ez “G” for gun 😅 and not jeez.

Err, wrong. It and the other books you mention, were never considered part of the Old Testament. The books we have in our Old Testament today are exactly the same as the Jews had long before the New Testament was written.

The collection of books bound together into what we call "The Bible" both Old and New Testaments are the most studied books in human history. 98% of people who simply attend a church service and hear the books read to them don't really go much deeper into just how extensive and deeply researched they really are... and it gets painstakingly detailed. Because of this, we have found the locations of lost cities and kingdoms mentioned. We even know where the location of Eden would've been. I'm paraphrasing from an annotated Bible that includes all books and explains the reasons why some denominations chose to keep books or remove them, but essentially they realized there were mentions in the book of Enoch that they couldn't possibly have known at that time. Suggesting it would've been written at a much later date. But then, that's several events described that were left in the current version we all know. Towards the end of the Bronze Age, nobody was really writing anything. This is known as the 4.2 kiloyear event. Things were so bad during this time that it's almost a silent point in history where something happened, but we don't really find out what until after things start to get better for everyone. This is where we get stories like the Exodus from Egypt and the Iliad. Not to discredit The Bible. The events described did actually happen, but they were described the way people remembered it had happened. The Ancient Egyptians also didn't like having anything negative in their history. They will write about their triumphs, exaggerate numbers, and leave out any losses. Secular Historians who take things literally will probably see this as evidence that the story of Exodus hadn't happened, but we know from that same painstaking detail of combing through biblical history that it did. The "10 plagues of Egypt" sounding like an oddly specific number, were all one in the same cause and effect. It was what people experienced in Egypt when they, like many others throughout the world, were wanting to leave the cities and take their chances elsewhere, but the Pharoah was facing attacks from the Sea People and wanted strength in numbers to avoid the collapse of the kingdom. Despite the Exodus having occured anyways, Egypt survived into the Iron Age. Similarly, tales going even further back to the great flood are ancient even to the Babylonians. That doesn't mean the events didn't happen. Just that the tales are simply "how they best remember it happening."

There are many books from the period of these text that where deemed not holy text, far earlier than Nicia. One thing I think it's very interesting to point out, is in chapter 80 it actually describes that all things on the earth will alter and not appear in their time hence the Mandela effect. The so called Book of Thomas has been shown to be a "much later than Christ" book than any other NT Book, and we all, (who study) know that John was the last Apostle to remain after Jesus. Scholars show that in the old Testament, God is often referred to in a plural sense because He was known to be a trinity of self. Much like the Trinity of prophets/teachers who pleased God - Elijah, Moses, and Jesus. Three really is the magic number.

What I don't understand is how do they know if Enoch was written 4,000 years after Enoch had been taken by God? Other than maybe going back from the flood tracing back to Enoch through Noah blood line. Ok I can understand that. However, something also to note is that people lived for close to a thousand years in the beginning. So, it is not too far-fetched that these events could have been documented and passed down verbally until someone wrote them on scrolls before they got then tranfered from the caves to being rewritten in books.

I am sixty years old. As a child I looked at the bible alot. I find it very interesting that in more modernized versions, the verse " the kingdom of heaven is within you" has been changed, as well as the story of Jesus healing the cripple by saying " physician, heal thyself" is now gone. " depart from me, I never knew you" changed as well. I'm sure that there is more.

I've been trying to tell people that same thing. Believing in aliens for some reason, keeps people from believing in God. It's like people can't understand that both can exist. The Dead Sea Scrolls have most of 2 books and parts of a 3rd book. Ethiopian Church has 2 books of Enoch. There is more than 1 book of Enoch. In total we know from history there was originally 4 books of Enoch. Today from the Ethiopian Church we have 2 books. From the Dead Sea Scrolls most of 2 books, and parts of a 3rd book. How does it make the story incorrect even if it was written by the Enoch from Cain? However that would also mean Noah was from the line of Cain since the author Enoch was the father of Methusla. it's only lost in the Protestant Bibles such as the KJV. The Catholic and Orthodox Churches have the Apocrypha books and my Catholic Bible has the book of Enoch in it as well, or at least one of them.

Christians should understand heresy to be any teaching that contradicts a core doctrine of the Christian faith. The identity of the Messiah is as core to Christianity as one can get. Declaring Enoch to be the Messiah very clearly is heresy.

I am from Eritrea a neighbouring country of Ethiopia. The book of Enoch is taught to the deacons in church but the church does not allow it to be taken out of the church. The Deacons do try to teach the rest of the followers about the book of Enoch but a lot of people find it contradicts with the bible. By the way it’s written in Ge’ez “G” for gun 😅 and not jeez.

Despite the Exodus having occured anyways, Egypt survived into the Iron Age.
Similarly, tales going even further back to the great flood are ancient even to the Babylonians.
That doesn't mean the events didn't happen. Just that the tales are simply "how they best remember it happening."

What I don't understand is how do they know if Enoch was written 4,000 years after Enoch had been taken by God? Other than maybe going back from the flood tracing back to Enoch through Noah blood line. Ok I can understand that. However, something also to note is that people lived for close to a thousand years in the beginning. So, it is not too far-fetched that these events could have been documented and passed down verbally until someone wrote them on scrolls before they got then tranfered from the caves to being rewritten in books.

I am sixty years old. As a child I looked at the bible alot. I find it very interesting that in more modernized versions, the verse " the kingdom of heaven is within you" has been changed, as well as the story of Jesus healing the cripple by saying " physician, heal thyself" is now gone. " depart from me, I never knew you" changed as well. I'm sure that there is more.

The book was banned because of the content of Angel Worship (expressly forbidden by the Old and New Testament). There are other errors as well. If one has discernment, one can see which items are incorrect.
Its biggest problem is that it declares Enoch to be the Messiah.

And Jude did NOT quote from the book of Enoch. Jude quotes a prophecy from the Enoch of Genesis 5 with absolutely no indication that he got the quote from the book of Enoch. In fact, Jude would have known the book of Enoch was pseudepigraphal, so why on earth would he use as a source of the prophecy he quoted a book he knew didn’t contain the words of Enoch.

I've been trying to tell people that same thing. Believing in aliens for some reason, keeps people from believing in God. It's like people can't understand that both can exist. The fallen have had several name changes throughout history. They're now "aliens ". Every other culture and religion have so many parallels and I now know that even Greek Mythology is just their understanding and words for the fallen. This book doesn’t prove a flat earth! The Bible says that the earth is round, you know the verses about the rapture says in the blink of an eye at the same time will be taken up.
