The other time I watched this game, I was like "imagine what Benny must be thinking stuck in purgatory with a maniac running around inspecting everything all the time around him

I actually really like the change to the standard anomaly game; there's already dozens of anomaly games about gaslighting yourself. Having one that is about reacting to the anomalies is fun, and it's cool to see a developer trying to develop themselves in the process of making new games.

for people who dont know, the 9th station is a reference to a horror story from 2chan iirc where a student took a late night train ride home, but the train was heading to an unknown location, the student got off of the last stop and ended up in an empty abandoned station, and while this was happening the student was sending posts on 2chan about them trying to get home and asking other users for help but no matter how long they walked they always returned to the same train stop ( the story is called: Kisaragi Station, if anyone is interested in reading it )

I really liked the "look at the anomaly" portion of the game and the parts where it gave you commands or something to do. The few cars where you just walk through them are good set pieces but they don't add much. This game feels like it is in-between being a liminal space and anomaly game.
That ending is applause worthy. Damn fine job, Kotake Create!

I honestly think this was a fantastic new twist on the anomaly style games! It really subverts your expectations and lets you figure things out for yourself!
This feels like more of a puzzle horror game instead of anomaly type game which is p fun
It's almost jarring how the game that's actually related to Exit 8 has a relatively different mechanic but it's great fun all the same! Most excellent fun to watch, HATE how creepy it got in some spots lmao.
This dev is so amazing! They took a concept that everyone was doing and kicked it up to 11!! ❤❤
What a cool blend between some anomaly hunting and supernatural/strange settings (the big eye watching and the powered-down train car stood out for me). I almost wish some monsters could be seen in some of the train cars, either within the train car or running alongside it, even if just a glimpse.
that ending was SO good! it's neat to see them trying something a little different than the standard anomaly game.

it feels like the creator made it to ease people into Exit 8. a lot of people were passing by anomaly too easily in Exit 8 that's why maybe it felt too easy. i think it's a good addition to Exit 8, you just play those 2 in succession feel like a good game night xD
I enjoy when the Japanese is read out because it helps with learning. That’s what started it all. 🥰
There's that desire and expectation of wanting this game to have been another looping, anomaly search game but with just a different setting but I feel like if they (the developer) had done that, people would've complained anyway that they did exactly the same thing with a different background. Like players would still play and enjoy it but they would still give that criticism of "oh, I wish they would've done something different, added a little extra something, shake up the format because this is just Exit 8 again." I'm actually happy they did something different. I feel like getting another game but "hey, now you have new posters to look at" would've been boring or repetitive. Yes, there are a couple of "anomalies" that were more of it does nothing so just look at it and feel weird, but the added puzzle element on the others was a nice change.
I love that they mixed it up, especially after so many other little indie games have taken Exit 8's "turn back if anomaly" formula. From videos I've seen so far of this game, they all went in expecting the same thing so it was fun to watch them have to get a handle on the new rules and have a fresh take.

I think the difference between this game and other exit 8 games like are, this platform 8 is a survival puzzle kind of thing. It's like you have to survive rather than just looking for anomalies and then moving forward or going back
The anomalies in this game are very noticable unlike other games that are just sneaky. I know Gab really likes to pay attention and look for sneaky anomalies BUT there are other people who likes fast paced observation duty. Platform 8 is very fast paced but there are still some sneaky anomalies in this game
now they need a game where you find anomalies and you end with getting on the train.

It was the like The Exit 8 dev said "yo dawg, I heard u liek jump scares" and decided to make the sequel at 6000% more jump scarier ;p
That' not strictly fair of me to say, there were some really unnerving and imaginative anomalies in this one. The pace was definitely more frantic in this version, which isn't a bad thing at all! Its certainly an adjustment you have to reconcile with if one was expecting a game more like the previous one. Still a very cool concept and execution of said concept :D

The make-your-own stuffed animal ad works! Unfortunately, I can't read Japanese. It's so cool that all of the ads are real in this game.
I wonder if eventually the creator is going to link all of his anomaly games together and each "section" increases in difficulty but in the meantime he is releasing them individually and creating lore.
Platform 8 was supposed to come out before Exit 8. Hopefully the Developer makes even more difference locations. For example Street 8 or Neighborhood 8 or House 8 or Hotel 8 or anything with the Number 8. A lot of Developers are making Exit 8 like games because they are way more fun than I’m on Observation Duty. In my honest opinion. So congratulations to the Developer of Exit 8!

Gab, if you haven't yet, you should play Alan Wake 2 NG+ when you have time (by yourself even), the ending is different and totally worth it! There are some really cool surprises too, you'll love it!

While I had fun with this game, I don’t feel there’s any reason to revisit it after the 45mins it took me to complete it. I’ve played Exit 8 for 7+ hours, since its gameplay does lend to replaying it. Kind of a disappointment.

I highly suggest “ANOMALY EXIT". It’s a really good and creepy anomaly hunt game set in a subway.
Platform 8 is a bit disappointing but it had its great moments. Anomaly Exit did it better imo.

I love that we're finally getting games referencing the creepypasta Kisaragi Station from like 20 years ago, it's one of my favorite creepypastas of all time, weird logics aside lol. I believe The Ghost Train by Chilla's Art is also inspired by it, since if I recall correctly you also get off at an empty station on that one.
Yea that's right! The Ghost Train is even more obvious about it, with the haunted station being called Kisaragi IIRC. It's a very nice game, and intriguing story yes. I read about it whe Gab played The Ghost Train ^^
