I really appreciate the attention to detail in these reviews! I'm under the impression that the Tropicfeel Nest and Hive have a lot of similarities, but I'm on the fence about which one to get. Is there a review for the Hive in the works? If not, I would love to see one in the near future.
I am very happy with my purchase. It is small enough for daily carry, but can also expand with the packing cube for traveling. I can fit 1 week of clothes for going to the seaside. The only issue I have is securing the packing cube with spider net, even if i don't fill it up to the max. My solution was to tie two pieces of string to the loops in order to make this easier.
I appreciate you mentioning your shoe size and height in relation to the bag. The main issue I find is the true volume doesn't fit my shoes with other things comfortable and I gotta make choices :(
For me, the backpack didn't work, unfortunately. The seperated storage at the bottom of the main compartment has a nice touch, but I didn't use it very often so it just took away space. The laptop compartment was too small and cumbersome for my taste. Luckily, there was no issue returning the backpack.
Great review, thanks! I was really happy to see you uploaded a video with tropicfeel. Actually I’m thinking of buying a backpack aer travel pack 3 small or tropicfeel hive. Will you upload a review of tropicfeel hive, too? There is hardly any review about that backpack
Hi! Thanks for the review! Will you also do a review for their newest backpack, the Hive? It would be nice to see them side to side to better understand what are the size differences :)
Hi I just bought this backpack and was wondering if you could recommend both tech packing cubes and clothes packing cubes especially for this backpack. Thanks!
I'm really interested in this backpack, but I'm kind of doubting whether my work laptop would fit... It's 26x37,5 cm, so quite bulky... Do you think that would work?
I got "The hive" that is a really similar version to the Nest Backpack; my only issue is the water bottle pocket; it's really sad that I can't fit my Nalgenete 1L bottle
Hey! I have a question for you. I am considering to buy The Hive as well, just one concern I have is the positon of laptop sleeve, it is on the front side and I am worried about the weight distribution. However, some people are saying it is actually not an issue. Could you give your input on this matter, does it compromisses anything or not? Thanks in advance 😁
@@akrom9854 to be honest, I haven’t had any issue with the laptop compartment, it’s actually well done, has nice padding and my laptops haven’t suffered any issues with it. My only issue rn is with the water bottle pocket; it’s too stretch for me; apart from that it’s a solid backpack! Hope it helps.
@@shankyjs Hey! Thanks for the reply 😊 I was only concered about the position of laptop sleeve. And now I have confirmation from quiet a few people saying the same that it did not creat any issues. So I will order The Hive within next 2 weeks. Thanks again! 👍
I was part of the kickstarter for this bag and was so excited but I sadly had a few issues that caused me to return it. First I personally was not a fan of the camera cube which was the main reason I bought it I wanted a bag that was super customizable and wasn’t always a camera bag. But I felt like their system for the camera cube was severely lacking. It did not feel secure (to me) at all. 2 strips on the sides and I look though on the main flap was not enough for me. Then the actual camera cube did not seem very padded. I wanted to like this pack but even if I could look past the camera cube issues I got a bag that have a few quality issues. So I ended up returning everything. I will say the packing cube was super unique and you could pack a lot into it. I’ll consider the hive but I think it has the same system for the camera cube. I just can’t seem to find the right bag for me 🤦🏽♀️
Thanks for your detailed insight, Ana! We have a ton of bags on our site, so maybe you can find the right bag for you! We also have a fun piece of camera-related content coming out soon on our main channel, so look out for that 😃 -Eric
I've been trying to return mine but they've been saying it's not possible when you purchased through Kickstarter - thanks for sharing this. Helpful video too, thank you.
@@louisemcneil7010 it was a long process. They said the same thing to me but I had a ton of of issues. 1) shipping box was completely destroy upon arrival 2) missing items (packing cube had to be shipped separately because it was missing) 3) the button that hold the camera cube flap literally fell of after the second use 3) exchange was super annoying and such a hard process 4) their communication was terrible as well So eventually I told them I would be speaking to my lawyer friend to see what I could do and then they said they would be making an exception and giving a refund
My WANDRD PRVKE is an amazing photography bag. The camera cube feels extremely secure. I have taken it on many adventures with 0 issues. Worth looking into!
As a consummate traveler who prefers simple cavernous bags wherein I can choose my packing cubes and Tech pouches this would be a nightmare for me. The only saving grace would be if the interior of these bags were not black. I could then possibly see using lots of modular pieces if I could see them when I reach in quickly. This just looks like a black hole to me. I checked on the the website and it seems to be the case with most of their bags. Thumbs down.
Hey, was this backpack comfortable to wear ? I just got mine and the shoulder pads feel a bit stiff, so I am a bit sorried that it wont be comfortable to wear
@@sincerelysof I have the green one. It got a few grey marks and obviously doesn't look new anymore (After 10 month of heavy everyday ise and travel). But I think i could wash it by hand and it would look pretty nice again. If you want a bag that looks really nice all the time maybe you should go for a darker color. My girlfriend has the black one (she loved mine so she bought one for herself) and hers looks as good as new. She even brings it to her fancy-ish office everyday.
@PackHacker2 the Laptop compartment really didn't cut it for me, way to small and cumbersome to get the computer out and in, especially when the backpack is full.
@@PackHacker2 There is no particular feature that I prefer. It has a nice overall design and lots of hidden storage options. Of course, it's cool that you can open the bag completely from the side. 👍
For me I will never buy another bag with black or dark insides, it makes it too hard to see the items inside. If they use a lighter grey that works well, bright too but I know many people dont love the neons. Thanks no thanks.
Whereas we tend to agree wholeheartedly-doing so while cycling through a city isn’t much different from listening to your car radio with the windows down 🧐 Thanks for watching! 😃 -Eric
@@PackHacker2 it is vastly different, as unless you blast music in your car with all windows open, listening to music in your car doesn't invade the public space with your decibels. Also, as a cyclist myself, I can guarantee that blasting music on a BT speaker will distract you from noise cues while cycling, which are super important (an incoming car, a child running) for your safety and that of others. If you are focused on your music and crash into something, you are more likely to be seriously injured as you're not protected by your car. And it is just basic courtesy NOT TO INVADE PUBLIC SPACE WITH YOUR MUSIC.

I'm actually quite happy with all the details. Especially sinds this bag has so many different interesting features. Gives me more insight for if I want to buy it or not.
It will depend significantly on the size of your camera and lens, but a smaller outfit should fit! There may be room to bounce from side to side, so it might be wise to stuff an article of clothing first to negate this. -Eric
