She had her own dance show years ago called "Born to Dance". It was a competition show about female dancers who were competing to win money and start their dance career. The winner got a gig with Lady Gaga.
Laurieann was the choreographer on Diddy's show Making the Band where he created Danity Kane.
No she's a horrible choreographer I hated the dances she did

When did dance comps all of a sudden not score dances????
They do but this guy was claiming that they don't let the teams see their scores. Which is weird.... Every single dance comp that I have ever competed in or been to has always given back scores. It sounds fishy to me but I also have never been to sheer talent so maybe they don't
Nikki M the guy was a good friend of Abby's. He deliberately scored Laurieanne's group low for Abby.
Sheer talent definitely gives out scores, they've done it before on the show but this guy is known to be a very good friend of Abby's....

Everything honestly started running downhill when the Hylands left. I will say this, I wish Kalani had been an original. Because those 7 girls together? They would have been unstoppable as they continued to mature in their dancing. Really wish Chloe, Brooke, & Paige has stuck around longer D;

Holly is soooo nice! When the duet won 1st place, she was clapping like her child's solo got 1st place, but her daughter wasn't even in it.
That was absolutely the best dance they truly deserved that first place

All of a sudden everyone wants Abby back but she would always be talked about when she was here. Honestly she is what they need because you can tell she has different ideas, techniques to help them get better instead of doing the same thing and having favoritism holding some kids back.
This is exactly how Laurieann acted in Making The Band. She's so passionate, she's legit crazy

The judges won’t let Abby lee dance complaint win probably because they have one of the best dance teachers in the nation. The other teachers are amateur tecaher, they don’t teach professionals, and laurieann teaches professional a listers as a living. No way they would let her win because that’s a major boost.
Nanika p a may be surprising or maybe not but sheer talent is rigged abby lee is not the greatest choreographer there are some studios who are 10x better then aldc and would sweep all of them in a competition just look at marrieta dance company and mather dance company ( i think thats the name ) just to name a few those dancers that go there are absolutely INCREDIBLE and those choreographers know what there doing abby knows what to put in each solo/duet/trio/group to make them win and she knows exactly what the judges are looking for that is why aldc wins a lot

Laurieanne isn't a teacher but I see where you're going. I doubt they care about that. It's a small dance competition. I think these competitions are definitely subjective. There is no objective point of view from the judges

Why does there seem to be MORE drama since Abby left( well I thought their teacher was a walrus until I found a comment calling her Abby) but yea... A LOT more drama is going on. What's next? Killer fights between mom's every episode? The Hylands coming back to join MDP to compete with the ALDC?

So for all the people who are confused because the girls and moms have talked about this situation. Basically Abby called asked who was entered and said the group can't win. The duet she didn't care about because it really doesn't mean anything and abby knew they would do good.
I adore LaurieAnn. She is TOUGH,STRICT,but also respectful to her students,not emotionally abusive
The last thing any dancer needs is a dance teacher who thinks she can do no wrong.

I am not a fan of Laurieann's personality, but those dances looked absolutely stunning! Very innovative. Even though I am not a big fan of Laurieann, I have to say she knows her stuff. They definitely were robbed- that group dance looked amazing.
But like, Laurie and Gia (or whoever that is, I'm not on this season yet, sorry) walking in is so iconic

the girls were almost adults in this. if they ever wanted to go on professionally in this industry they’d have to get used to being replaced/not getting opportunities. the moms getting mad about laurieanne’s decision about the duet is so unprofessional and ridiculous.
