    I think for people like myself that are still rockin TC103 and even M8107...These new RG and SG with the new 117 and new Suspensions with the new price point of 25,999 MSRP...These are a good deal....Now in saying that i think the best bang for your Buck HD is...LRST...That would be my choice...But for now i will ride my TC103 and ride payment free...

    Excellent opinion piece. I ride a 2017 velocity red street glide special with 50,000 miles on it of which the last 30k has a zippers red shift cam , heavy duty oil pump etc etc and Stock exhaust. When I slowly ride through a motel parking lot at a biker event many riders stop to listen to the low slow lope sound coming out like a saxophone
    . Some asking how’s that happening. I’m thinking of getting a 2024 just to have it but It’ll be hard to give that lope up.

    Finally just an honest opinion! I appreciate the laughs too. The hype about the new models is over the top. I work overseas my research for new bikes or bike parts is ten fold. I'm just a basic guy personally. I don't like to many bells and whistle's on my cars and bikes. The RG joke? I was thinking? Futurama....But you went old school! Lol...Thanks again for the laughs!

    Funny part is that I work for a dealer and that 'baby blue' Sharkskin Blue is one of the best sellers so far.

      Same in my area here in Colorado. I work for an automotive dealership by trade and the pastel colors are what in right now. Personally, I don’t understand it man, it looks like an Easter egg to me lol thank you for commenting.

      @@simplybeingshipleyI love the shark skin blue matter a fact I bought one! My dealer also already had sold another the dealer had to ship it to me!

      Lol. As I state in the video, it is a matter of opinion. And I did say that it is their number one selling color. That being said, I will absolutely not keep my opinion to myself. That is the whole point of these reviews is it not? You are definitely a weird duck to make such a statement on a review. Be safe..

    Great job Shipley pointing out some changes I have not noticed and stating a different opinion concerning the changes. Truly enjoyed your review! You tubers getting wined and dined by Harley to post reviews are worthless reviews in my opinion. Thanks for keeping it real!

      Thank you! Just wait, I am doing demo days right now at thunder Mountain Harley Davidson, riding all of the 2024 models and will be posting reviews on each that are much more intimate and focused. I’ve already had some big positives and big negatives that I didn’t expect.

    I took the dive and ordered a Road Glide yesterday. The bike that's being sacrificed is my 2016 (a 103) Street Glide Special... I personally liked the changes on the new Road Glide The bottom part of the front of the fairing looks awesome to me. But I'm keeping my 107 M8 road king. 😁

      @@simplybeingshipley I'm not sure what you mean? Are you talking about the side spoiler thing that's on the 2024 Road Glide ST? Looked at it today, and it seems to break the line a bit on the front side profile of the new fairing. I suspect color also plays into how the new RG fairing looks size wise. I'm getting the Onyx white pearl, which to my eyes doesn't look as big, even when seeing an older road glide.

    I'm always interested in the latest greatest anything with an internal combustion engine. That doesn't mean I go buy a new one every year, but I definitely enjoy road testing them just to keep up with what's new. I believe there's a lot to absorb with this new design. Mostly in the cockpit, specifically the switch gear and tech. I'm getting a little long in the tooth to keep up with all that stuff, I just want simple-stupid familiar classic dependable enjoyable recreation out of my rides. I'm going to maintain a disciplined financial mindset and stretch out more miles on my '17 Ultra Limited. I've got it built out for maximum comfort and that antique 107 mill with Stage 1 suits me just fine for my riding style. Plenty of low end grunt and hums along at 90 all day with ease. The best part is that it cost about the same as these new SG's & RG's, but has a trunk, lowers and a factory custom paint set. After slip-ons, SE air cleaner, tuner, dyno, highway pegs and rider backrest I'm still only into it for what these cost out the door stock. Also, eight years ago I got a 1.99% loan and paid it off in less than two years. Now you have dealer mark-ups and 10& interest. I'll gladly enjoy admiring them from a distance for now, maybe they'll grow on me eventually after they get all the bugs worked out of them.

    On your picture comparison you are comparing the ultra limited to the new street glide . I know you probably meant to compare street glide to street glide, but you got the wrong picture

  • @user-zi6ku3io2q
    @user-zi6ku3io2q 3 месяца назад +2

    Did you even ride them? Too much focus on colors and static pics. What about the recall on the street glides for speed wobble over 100mph? Handlebar bushings way too soft and horn location is a absolute afterthought. For the RG, still can't close the fairing vents! You better propose to that SG before she gets away!

    After you ride a 2024 CVO, guess what? You'll hate the bike you have, but won't actually admit it, you'll just live in denial until you finally trade your old one in or just buy the new one. There is NO COMPARISON. And that's not my opinion.
