I loved this bike. Bought one 2nd hand in 1988, I was 19, and its still the most fun bike I've ever had. Wasn't restricted so up to 60mph it kept up with much bigger bikes, and on long journeys would happily cruise at 70mph- top speed about 95mph depending on wind. Mine was same colour as this, white with blue and yellow so wish footage of a walk around was included.

I miss my LCII! micron exhaust with racing can, K&N filter, reed valve kit dynojet and a fresh newly rebuilt engine! it looked a little scruffy but it went very well! I wouldn't like to guess the power but it certainly more than the 24bhp of a standard derestricted one! I kind of feel sorry for kids nowadays that have to put up with stuff like the cbr125 or r125 14bhp and no restictors to remove.

This model RD is often forgotten but i reckon this was on par with the first TZR actually in many ways better i seem to remember the ypvs had a peg you could turn or activate and then you had 20 plus bhp but these little bikes were stupidly fast . Myself and a friend used to pinch his brothers and it would hit 80 mph even with a pillion on that was 87 when life was real not virtual .
