Joe, looks like you need a pipe roller stand set between the two tables to keep the logs from falling through. Could be attached to the log table for more stability.
Another great video as always, Joe. Like you say, keeping things clean and taking the time to stage everything at the start of the day, makes for a much smoother time making firewood.
Man, I have beeb thinking.....(yeah I know someday one just shouldn't do that) you have sure come a lo g way from just 5 years ago. Keep o keepin on. 🤠👍👍👍👍👍
Good video Joe. Watching that perfect split is very therapeutic! My old glacier splitter is quarter as fast and three times the effort! Great to see the 405 on the go again. Cheers from HB NZ
People of forget to do the small things like maintenance , as simple as a little check the machine for cleanliness is huge. Thanks for sharing joe. Joe 😎
Morning Joe 🌄 I seen you had a knot sticking out my thought is having a small cordless electric chainsaw at the ready to nip those buggers off. Have a good day 👍🏻
Nice to see the Perfect Split in action again. Elaine from Canada here, can see that you got into a great rhythm for awhile Joe, only to be interrupted by a crooked or short one. But what speed! Gotta love it, cheers.
I really like the operation of the Perfect Split blade. If you had a bunch of rounds, you would touch them only once, provided there were no jams or something else odd ball.
Nice Looking Maple Logs Joe. Made alot of Prime Firewood. We all go thru that of Trimming up the Knots a little before Processing it. You Still did a Great job doing it Though. Getting Cooler now less Humid and Cutting starting Tomorrow. Can't do it today as Rain is Expected. My Locust and Oak are ready to get cut up. Keep up your Great Video's my Friend. Ron from the Woodyard in Duanesburg NY.
Pretty cool that engine can handle the outfeed conveyor, perfect clean conveyor, barrel cleaner, ram and saw all at the same time. And I don’t even see the ram slow down. I’ve seen processors where you can’t run the saw and ram at the same time.
I understand that newer 405s have a larger engine than mine. Mine is the D409 which is 25 hp. It seems at times I wish it had more power but it comes down to how you adjust your saw motor.
A couple bolts and a scrap piece of bed liner would solve any log from ever getting hung up in that knot so sweet spot again I mention bed liners because they can be easily found extremely reasonable at times free and they are slick as snot yet can take the abuse of just about any application
Could be worse. I've had a chainsaw knocked out of my hands twice when bucking logs in a pile that the log truck stacked up. Skidder Kev once told me that they've had log piles shift and come tumbling down quite some time after they pulled logs from said pile. A little warmth thawed the logs enough to allow them to roll.
The one bolt on the perfect split must be lose it’s moving up and down the inside bolt closed to you. Or is it suppose to move up and down a little bit
Some of this was edited but I didn't omit any challenges. FYI this 405 has over 200 hrs, 170 cords and has not had a single jam ever. I am hoping for the day it does so I can show it.
Joe the log 🪵 with bend and knots why just use your chainsaw less work and faster them try to put threw the little processor 😊. You and Chris in the wood 🪵 yard got the same PROBLEM fight him waste boiler logs 🪵. Just take the old way with a chainsaw and blocks it up 🆙. Chris this morning cut straight stuff with his chainsaw and probably tmw fight with junk wood 🪵 going threw 22MB . Must be for more times on U tube I was a guessing man joe . 😮
Joe super split japa 405 all you need in your wood 🪵 yard . Jesse bring in premium firewood 🪵 for you probably the top firewood 🪵 maker on u tube from Ohio 😊.
Joe, looks like you need a pipe roller stand set between the two tables to keep the logs from falling through. Could be attached to the log table for more stability.
I had thought of something like that but these occurrences are rare. I like the space to be open bc I pass thru it a lot
Maybe a pipe roller hinged to the jappa and folding up like a bar top pass through?@@ohiowoodburner
GREAT SUGESTION FROM MR KEMP. VERY EASY FIX AND CHEAP.
No better way to take care of some logs laying around than with the 405!!
I love the splitter ❤❤❤
The “Special Handling” edition of OWB. Good vid of the oddball logs you encounter in firewood production. Thanks, Joe. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it Dave!
I love that perfect split.
As do I !!!
Another great video as always, Joe. Like you say, keeping things clean and taking the time to stage everything at the start of the day, makes for a much smoother time making firewood.

Thanks Lance. I am amazed at how this has gone for me. Thanks for supporting us buddy
Good video Joe. Watching that perfect split is very therapeutic! My old glacier splitter is quarter as fast and three times the effort! Great to see the 405 on the go again. Cheers from HB NZ
Thanks Cliffy! Hope things are going well for you in NZ. Your spring and summer are just around the corner
Thanks, joe, for running some of the crooked and odd stuff today.
It really shows that the Japa can do it, too.😉👍
haha. Every tough log is a learning experience. I'm getting pretty good at this Dan!
The 405 answers any problems thrown at it!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
It sure is a beast Dave!
Good Morning Joe, A World Class Splitting Show, Real world video (Turds Happen)😂👍🏼🇺🇸
Haha that is known as Wednesdays around here since this last load of logs!
People of forget to do the small things like maintenance , as simple as a little check the machine for cleanliness is huge. Thanks for sharing joe.
Joe 😎
Thanks for watching buddy
Joe,you made quick work of those logs on infeed table 👍😮😊❤
The 405 is awesome Todd!
That machine is always impressive to watch run. I love that perfect split system.
It is a joy to run. Really makes my job easier
Good video showing the tips and tricks of running the Japa on real logs with all their flaws and challenges 😊 Nice looking splits 👍
Thanks Lyle!
Excellent production Joe !! Well done sir 👏
Thanks for watching buddy
Morning Joe 🌄 I seen you had a knot sticking out my thought is having a small cordless electric chainsaw at the ready to nip those buggers off. Have a good day 👍🏻
I keep my Dewalt saw close just for matters like that!
Morning Joe. Truly enjoy all your videos. Have A Great👍 Day!
Good morning! Thanks Al

The 405 is amazing. Still it is nice to have super straight logs!
Great day when you are working in the log yard great video and job joe
You got that right!
Lumber stand with roller between the deck and in feed. Anything slick would work too.
Thanks Zeke
You have a great 👍day
Thanks, you too!
I really like the operation of the Perfect Split blade. If you had a bunch of rounds, you would touch them only once, provided there were no jams or something else odd ball.
This 405 has over 200 hours on it and never once has it jammed. I'm sure it will eventually but that is quite an accomplishment
This week's weather has been AWESOME ron. Now i hear that 90s are coming again this weekend
In NY State..0.6 CU firewood bundle.

Morning Joe! Hope you have a productive day, and it's great!
Same to you buddy
Go Joe
I'm trying! lol

Would you ever consider doing an entire video on just stacking wood?
We never get to see more than a glimpse of you stacking wood.
It seems to me that watching a person stacking wood would be low interest.
A couple bolts and a scrap piece of bed liner would solve any log from ever getting hung up in that knot so sweet spot again I mention bed liners because they can be easily found extremely reasonable at times free and they are slick as snot yet can take the abuse of just about any application
I think that area could be reworked. That is def a catch point
@@ohiowoodburner have been listening to the podcasts here recently extremely interesting points of view
Good Morning Joe
Good morning RB!

Great job Joe!!!
Thanks buddy
just put an outfeed roller (something from wood working) in the middle of that gap.
Would you ever consider refilling the deck and not quitting after a partial day?
Is the sun maybe too bright?
JB do you understand what satire is?
Hey 👋 Joe
Hello
Tell us about your PPE footwear Joe.
I wear what I want.
Good to see that you cut a round while splitting one...getting ready to split a lot faster. You just started doing this?
I do that all the time. Not sure what vids you saw. Sometimes I get caught up in watching the splitting lol
Did you just hit 45 thousand here today at some point because if I remember right was thinking just this early morning that 44,9 has been for a while
I did... seems YT has been a little slow lately, many of the channels are griping about it
@@ohiowoodburner congratulations you have certainly earned it yes I can believe that all of this is just growing out of sight
How’s the new canopy working out for you?
It is a home run. Probably the best 4,000 I've ever spent
How much do you charge your viewers to come stack firewood?
I need to double it whatever the fee is
The one bolt on the perfect split must be lose it’s moving up and down the inside bolt closed to you. Or is it suppose to move up and down a little bit
I was told to allow it to move a little. The big bolts aren't totally tight but are tightened so that the knife is centered
This is predominately why you shouldn’t use belting on a timber conveyor, chainlink conveyor is more easier to watch and cleaner 😎
I can see that. Sometimes he's bigger logs will put a lot of torque onto the belt
Itd be nice to not cut out the splits of knotty/nasty peices. Not sure if your throwing them out or it jams up splitter.
Some of this was edited but I didn't omit any challenges. FYI this 405 has over 200 hrs, 170 cords and has not had a single jam ever. I am hoping for the day it does so I can show it.

sometimes I misjudge the log sometimes I don't notice any knots until they are coming down the infeed
Time, then, to maintain your fighting condition, eh?
Thanks for watching buddy
Well that could have been worse, and yeah longer arms would be helpful lol.
I think they should put an extra lever on the end of the infeed just for that reason
Joe super split japa 405 all you need in your wood 🪵 yard . Jesse bring in premium firewood 🪵 for you probably the top firewood 🪵 maker on u tube from Ohio 😊.
Haha thanks Len
Looks like a bad design on the clean out maybe hole should be bigger so will fall out a little easier
That's the way Grizzly bars are. If they were bigger it would just be a bigger piece that gets stuck in them
