    The current app V3.46 is a total mess, as were all the previous versions apart from V3.44, the app developers should be fired for destroying the brands name, I've not been able to connect to my 5mth old DR750X-2CH PLUS since 11th of April, I have no faith in the apps stability so i will return the device to the retailer and demand a refund, good cameras ruined by incompetent app developers.

    as soon as i attempt to connect to the blackvue wifi i get told there is no internet connection and i physically cannot do anything on the app unless i disconnect. this is crazy. doesn't matter what i do. how am i supposed to use the app if i can't connect to the blackvue wifi

    • @blackboxmycar
      @blackboxmycar  Год назад +1

      Sorry to hear that, yes the app needs a constant internet source, while the camera wifi cuts out the internet, which is frustrating. I recommend using your standard internet connection to navigate through the app, and then only connecting to the camera wifi at the last step of the connection process, in which the app asks for you to connect to the camera app.

    Odd how in 2023 there's no dark mode it's pretty much a standard I & others don't want to open the app at night & get blasted by a white light. One big to add sometimes the camera will randomly drop the cloud feature even tho the cm100 is right next to it so if you're at work & want to see what's going with your vehicle nope

    • @blackboxmycar
      @blackboxmycar  Год назад

      A dark mode is actually a great idea CJ!! I'll float it by BlackVue. As for the CM100 connection issues, you're right it should not randomly drop the cloud, as the LTE module should pair to the cloud whenever the camera has power. My recommendation would be to try another cloud connection method to see if the camera drops the cloud in the same way after long enough, or if the issue is the module itself/SIM card.

    I have had it for months and still can’t use it my car asks to join the dash cam and then it says it will cancel out the Mazda wifi 🤦🏻‍♀️ I wish I got just the normal type but it was installed when I brought the car I should have looked at what this camera was before I approved it as it’s to hard for me to,follow and as I see from your video others have that problem too.

    I haven't been able to connect to cloud for 4 days now. Customer service told me they had a server issue but it's still not working in the US. I can connect straight to the dash but i pay for cloud. I noticed my wifi light white light takes a little longer to come on

    Just picked up my car fr the Au dealership, the after sales person had left for the day. I drove home & “tried” to set up BV750S which is mostly available in my country, needless to say the cameras wouldn’t connect. Yes have created a BV acct, but that’s it. Guess it’s another trip to the dealership tomorrow. Best wishes from Adelaide; South Australia🇦🇺💐

      I thought I would be clever and get a dash cam installed for me as I always had wires hanging down and they put the DR800 front and back camera. I can’t do anything with it and now wish I stuck to a cheap one off eBay. I can’t connect to wifi it has a sim but it always says something isn’t connected.

    I’ve been given a Vodafone sim with my BlackVue 770x….its asking for my 14 numbers ICCID code but it’s got different numbers at the start! So it doesn’t wanna know, Thanks 🤔

    • @blackboxmycar
      @blackboxmycar  11 дней назад

      I understand how frustrating this can be. It sounds like there might be a mismatch with the SIM card’s requirements for your BlackVue device. It’s also worth noting that BlackVue doesn’t list Vodafone as a compatible carrier. Here’s who is confirmed to work:
      • US: AT&T, T-Mobile
      • Canada: Rogers, Telus
      You might want to double-check with Vodafone to ensure you have the correct type of SIM card. Sometimes framing it as if you’re getting a SIM card for a tablet can help clarify things with your provider.

    I'm a little confused on seamless pairing still. Is it just a connection between the dash cam and your phone like bluetooth, or is it going to use cell phone data (if you aren't connected to any wifi)? Say for example, I just want to view a video from the camera but don't plan to download or save it, is that how seamless pairing works?

    • @blackboxmycar
      @blackboxmycar  7 месяцев назад +1

      Sorry to hear there's some confusion on seamless pairing. Seamless pairing means that when you open the app, the app will ask for your permission to connect to the camera's wifi, and with that, will automatically connect, and allow you to stream videos from the camera, all without leaving the BlackVue app. As for the Bluetooth, that is mainly for the setup process, which makes it very easy.

  • @ellgee9402
    @ellgee9402 3 месяца назад

    Why is the video download only 480p? I thought this is a hi def camera? how do you change it to download at full 4k?

    • @blackboxmycar
      @blackboxmycar  3 месяца назад

      Video is by default streamed in a lower resolution so that it can easily be viewed on-the-fly. When downloading the video, it should be the raw quality it is recorded in.

    Hello while connected to app and camera i can view rear camera video but front camera footage wont play. Can you help

    • @blackboxmycar
      @blackboxmycar  3 месяца назад

      Hm, quite an odd issue. If you have a 4k model, consider downgrading the image quality, as it's possible your phone is having issues processing it compared to the 1080p footage of the rear camera. It is most likely an issue with the connection to your phone or with your phone processing the data, which is more challenging than the rear camera.
      Still, a top priority is ensuring there's nothing wrong with the camera. I also recommend viewing the footage on your computer directly through the SD card to ensure that the camera itself is in good shape.

      Sorry to hear that, the camera definitely shouldn't be worthless, and this should be fixable. Try checking the camera information through the BlackVue PC viewer when you connect the SD card to the computer.
      Then, try contacting BlackVue for assistance at cs@pittasoft.com

    Hello on the app how do i connect cloud to my mobile internet data

    • @blackboxmycar
      @blackboxmycar  3 месяца назад

      If you'd like to pair the cloud to your mobile phone's internet, broadcast it as a mobile hotspot, and then enter that mobile hotspot information into the wifi signal section of the camera's settings.
      This does require you to be nearby the camera, and have your phone stay in wifi range. If you pair the camera with an alternative wifi source, then your phone can connect from anywhere through your data.

    YOU NEED to tell the folks about bypassing the VPN or you will get this message: "VPN ON. Check if phone's VPN setting limits your connection." Or this will NOT work.

    • @blackboxmycar
      @blackboxmycar  10 месяцев назад +1

      Oh dang, that's a super valid point. Yes, this is an issue popping up more and more as VPNs are more widespread, with Dash Cam apps struggling with Apple's newer built-in VPNs as well as third party ones. All VPN or VPN-like software will need to be fully turned off to connect to the BlackVue app, or other dash cam apps

  • @wingobingo

    Check if your phones VPN setting limits your connection
    What? How?

    • @blackboxmycar
      @blackboxmycar  10 дней назад

      I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with the BlackVue app. Yes, using a VPN can sometimes interfere with the connection between your smartphone and the BlackVue app. Try disabling the VPN temporarily and see if that helps establish a connection. If you're still having issues, ensure you're connected to the dash cam's Wi-Fi network and not just opening the app.

    • @blackboxmycar
      @blackboxmycar  Год назад

      I'm sorry to hear that, the large majority of phones should be able to play videos. I recommend trying to view footage over wifi rather than the cloud first, and switching your phone to airplane mode before connecting.

    • @blackboxmycar

      It's very easy to unregister a BlackVue camera from your account! On the camera tab, just press the three vertical dots on the right side of the camera profile. At the bottom of this menu, you'll see a "remove camera from cloud" button, and if you don't have the cloud, it will be "delete camera" instead.

      EXACTLY!! My camera worked fine until they changed the APP. Now the 2 batteries will NOT charge, the camera disconnects when the windshield wipers are on, the Cloud cannot connect to the camera, I CANNOT DO LIVE VIEW anymore!!!!!, the wifi reads that I should check my email and password, and SO MANY MORE ISSUES!!!
      I SPENT OVER $2000.00 FOR THIS PIECE OF TRASH.

    Ridiculously complicated and this video doesn't reflect all the "failed to connect" errors that inevitably happen. Be ready to have to plug in the camera and unplug the camera and remove it from the car multiple times as you navigate the frustrating myriad steps of inputting serial numbers, passwords, activating wifi, etc., etc., etc.. I'm so sorry I bought a Blackvue.
