Concrete Sleeper manufacturing Factory Khanewal | Pakistan Railways | پاکستان | Railroad

Pakistan Railways concrete sleeper making factory Khanewal was established in 1982,
khanewal concrete sleeper factory is one of it's own kind, we visited here recently and covered all the manufacturing process of pre stressed concrete Sleeper,
process starts from Batching plant and concrete mixing buckets mixed the concrete and then that concrete material would be poured into molds, then instant de molding process would be done and a raw concrete Sleeper came out of that steel mouldings,
after that steam Curing process would be done to dry out the sleepers and it takes 9 hours,
then pre Stressing process would be required to strengthen the sleepers,
after that dynomometer test would be done to assure the quality of the product,
after taken all safety Measures all the concrete sleepers would be stored outside the sleeper factory, there were lot of piles of concrete sleepers there which were going to lead on Pakistan Railways goods train,
khanewal concrete sleeper factory is producing 215,000 sleepers per anum,
most of the rehabilitation of Railway tracks was done recently and most of the concrete sleepers were produced by khanewal concrete sleeper factory,
ML1 product is also going to start in coming days and that ML1 railway track will be required millions of concrete sleepers and Pakistan Railways concrete Sleeper making factories are ready to work for ML1 CPEC project.

Thank you for showing us some important "parts" of Pakistan Railway. Your efforts and videos are always very informative and I am grateful for your efforts. Looking at the video made me feel good that at least something is working in Pakistan. Although very antiquated plant, I also noticed that very little safety gear was being employed. While they talked about goggles and safety hats, I noticed none of the workers using safety glasses and only about ten percent of the workers wore hard hats.

You're right there is lack of safety Measures, but when I asked about it the works Manager said we have provided them 4 basic safety accessories but the workers aren't habitual enough and they feel better to work raw handedly,
Unfortunately we didn't promote the culture of punctuality......

Yes indeed they gave us the permission to film and also gave his time, we all railfans are very thankful to Irfan ul Haq sahib and also to Pakistan Railways,
Yes brother filming would be required lot of planning, budgeting and it take time, I traveled almsot 1200 kilometers to film this sleeper factory and back home, thanks for your response and appreciation. We try to make it as simple as it could be understood by a common person,
Pakistan Railways have 4 factories in working, out of 4 factories 1 is leased out to a private sector, they mostly work on demand and supply method,
I didn't asked for the train they were loading at that time
